SO SOMETHING WITH HIGHER EDUCATION COMPONENT WHERE LUCKILY WE HAVE THAT THE STATE OF MINNESOTA GOVERNMENT WHERE WE'RE ABLE TO BE HOSTED BY THEN WHICH OPENS UP A WHOLE NOTHER SECTOR OF PARTNERSHIPS AND COLLABORATIONS AND ALLOWS US TO LOOK AT PILOT PROJECTS SUCH AS WHAT WE'RE LOOKING AT WITH BLOOMINGTON TO ENHANCE EXPAND OUR SERVICES LOCALLY AND ALSO REGIONALLY. I JOKE WITH THE REGIONAL TEAMS YOU KNOW CONSTANTLY AND I, I HEARD IT AGAIN TODAY IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE BROUGHT INTO THE PICTURE IS PLAYING NICE THE SANDBOX IT MIGHT SOUND KIND OF CHEEKY A LITTLE BIT BUT WITH SO MANY DIFFERENT ENTITIES THAT ARE AVAILABLE FOR RESOURCES THERE WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE DOVE INTO THESE PARTNERSHIPS AND COLLABORATION. IT'S GEOGRAPHICALLY RESTRICTED ,THE DEVELOPMENT FUND CAN BE USED CITYWIDE AND ALSO FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PURPOSES PER STATE STATUTE AND OUR STAFF TIME IS ALLOCATED ACCORDING TO HOW WE WORK ON THESE DIFFERENT WORK AREAS WHETHER IT'S IN THE SOUTH LOOP AREA ON DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS OR IF IT'S CITYWIDE ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SERVICES . WE ALSO BUILD SOME STAFF TIME TO TIFF ACCOUNTS. SO IF WORKING ON A PARTICULAR PROJECT WE WILL USE THE TIFF ADMINISTRATION FUND FOR THAT AND NOW I WILL PASS IT OVER TO MARY KAY. OKAY. SO IF YOU LOOK AT THE EXPENDITURE THROUGH YOU CAN SEE SALARIES ARE ACTUALLY GOING DOWN BY 82,000 AND THE REASON IT'S GOING DOWN IS BASICALLY ACCOUNTING CHANGE THERE. THERE'S TWO EMPLOYEES IN CREATIVE PLACEMAKING AND EACH PAY PERIOD THEY'VE ALWAYS HAD THEIR TIME CODED TO THE CITY'S CREATIVE PLACEMAKING FUND. THE CITY SUPPORT THE CITY'S DEVELOPMENT FUND AND IT WAS JUST GETTING A BIT MESSY WITHOUT THE ALLOCATIONS. SO WORKING WITH CARY CARLSON THE DECISION MADE TO CUT ALL THEIR SALARY EXPENSES IN THE CITY'S PLACEMAKING FUND AND THEN THE PORTLAND REIMBURSED FOR SOME OF THOSE EXPENSES SO YOU CAN SEE THE SALARIES EXPENSE IS GOING DOWN BUT THEN THERE'S AN IN MATERIAL SUPPLIES AND SERVICES WHICH KIND OF OFFSET OF THAT DECREASE AND THAT WAS ABOUT 108,000.
