you're a great addition to this family so thank you very much I just want to say welcome I hired I was on your interviews I think you're going to be a great fit for this force and for this community most of all so I just want to say thank you and be safe out there Greg I say this to every new officer thank you to you but thank you to your family because you're going to have a family back here that's going to take care of you when you're working you're going to have this family that takes care of you when you're not working and it's very important for some of the stuff you're going to see the support structure that you have at home this family here along with this family here keeps you mentally sane throughout this and we hope you stay safe and we hope you successful you got to work 30 years some of these guys got to work 25 but we welcome you and we look forward to seeing you out in the field right do so for mayor just need to do the resolution because we pulled it out of the main body so now that we swore them in we have resolution 345-2020 appointing Greg mestic the patrol officer do we have a motion so mooved second BR Bard all in favor opposed hearing none uh now we have two presentations first we have the fifth through e8th grade spring wle ball league champ Orange Crush that correct Mike you could tell oh the troph yeah you [Laughter] can go Cate goate have a good congratulations good night all right I'm gonna call each player up if you're not here don't worry about it we have Mason is Mason here Dominic Nick Colton Nick Zach hope you had more people show up their games Andrew yeah Nick Thomas cool Matteo philli Luke just a two you won the whole thing you you're the team captains now Logan here brother sorry you guys this your first championship for whle ball second you got to take all these trophy songs the kid that right who's the coach who is the coach there is no coach but I guess these guys are the C you're the coach want I'm Z and I would just really like to thank my first base player Logan and my outfielder Nick copek how old are you you don't have any aspirations running for mayor in 5 years do you maybe your competition that wask good J all right the Nationals can come up please this is s yeah I think this s is it S soft oh soft this let me see that nice all right so I get to speak a little longer on this one oh so this group of girls we coached for three years they won the championship in sixth grade lost the championship in seventh grade and won the championship and answer let you ruin my joke you know who coached in seventh grade Mike and we lost the champ so um it's special when you win a championship for us it's special because it's the last year we got to goach you so I'm proud that you won I'm proud that my girls got to play as well as they did even though they didn't think we were going to win the last game because Livingston beat us pretty bad and then we put 22 on the board they scored they called the game we had 23 we they only got us out twice in the whole game for a team that beat us early in the season so it's a group compiled of rosand and Fairfield girls they got along really well this eighth grade sorry ninth grade group of girls excuse me is a great group of athletes for soccer they were in the championship for middle school for basketball I don't think you I don't think I even scored a point on you girls and then softball you won two out of three championships it was a great season for me Pete's the head coach so I'll I get done saying my pce because my girls are there I'll turn over to Pete so it's easy to coach this group of girls um you know anything they do they win um the one thing that that really got us was how close the girls were together and they support each other throughout anything so that was the biggest accomplishment I thought you know anytime you could coach a group of girls and they support each other there's no no fighting nothing it was it was just a great great team to coach and you know you know I've coached you since I was three and I think since three not you yeah but it's uh you know it's a tough thing to stop coaching so um still have my son but he play nice hockey I don't go on the ice one last thing when we started out every single girl on this team from the best player who played softball improved every step of the way everyone contributed throughout the season it was great to coach and not just be a game coach but see these girls take it all in and actually become better players at the same same time and great teammates they they went wherever position we needed a player and we had a short roster so you know softball usually plays with 10 we only had 10 girls on the team so um you know saell here that one played travel so she had to jump around to games but she actually committed to the wreck and she helped team like every other girl but you know they they did a great thing together and wherever we asked to play they went and they didn't play so she like playing us better anyway congrats girls we're going to take a quick picture Ryan the front the back front good job coach m m Mike you want to drw more want to leave ref the pick up it emptied out Happy Thanksgiving Thanksgiving thank you all right next on the agenda we have another presentation our director of parks foris County vvan we have some do
