have them they teach love Inspire the children in their care and they go above and beyond to help the teachers in their classrooms to make it run as smoothly as possible no other par professional exemplifies this as much as Miss jod Masterson Miss jod treats each of her students as if they were her own treating them with kindness and respect and always going above and beyond to help them grow as individuals and the students love Miss jod just as much as she loves them they often arrive in the morning asking for her and seeking her out throughout the day and the B biggest example of this is when the students are no longer in her class and they come back just to see her Miss jod is constantly offering help to anyone who needs it and selfishly gives of her extra time money and patience to create fun activities craft projects and helps them with anything that they need throughout the day Miss jod is not only an incredible power professional but she is also a beloved colleague and a true friend to many in the building Miss Jody always has a smile on her face even when the struggles of the class classroom sometimes seem overwhelming and she always has the students and her colleagues best interest at heart our MD programs would not run well without the dedication of our par professionals and Miss jod is no exception she's an integral part of the arith MD program and the arith when we were coming back 6 months eight months later um I interviewed Evelyn with with someone else and um it at the time I realized how unconventional it was to hire somebody who I probably wouldn't meet for 6 months and sure enough we didn't meet until the fall um You Came aboard and since then Evelyn has been probably the most professional responsible dedicated colleague that we can have and always tell when I uh interviewed Rachel I was with uh Mrs sakola she'll remember the time and I she walked out of the interview and I looked at Donna and I said I want her she's the one I want her to be my school counselor and thankfully for me and Truman she said yes and she's been with us since and on the first day that she H had the kindergarten students come in and a kindergartner was you know on the ground screaming and Rachel's sitting next to the kindergartner telling the kindergartner it's okay come on and got the child into school and I that was the day I knew I made the right decision and every day since then I know I made the right decision thank you Rachel for all that you did [Applause] and last but not least it's my pleasure to announce Mrs Susan MCD as Truman school's sea educational support professional Susan is not here tonight um but we want to honor her anyway although Sue is now enjoying her retirement her dedication and commitment to Truman school and the district will always be remembered Sue worked as our part-time secretary a school secretary is not just is not just a vital member of the team she's the backbone of all operations Sue was responsible for many aspects of our school day from meticulously managing our budget to ensuring that our school orders were P placed promptly and accurately she completed each task with ease in addition Sue was responsible for maintaining the attendance records of our students she demonstrated organ organizational skills and attention into detail that was instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of our school her diligent efforts allowed for seamless operations and effective communication within our school Community answering F calls may seem like a simple task but it is an essential part of the role of a school secretary she was the first point of contact for many who reached out to our school her efficiency is reflected in her dedication to serving our students parents and staff with utmost care and respect she was always helpful and provided information and assistance in a timely manner what truly set Sue apart was her unwavering support for our staff her infectious laugh and her willingness to go above and beyond to help others will always be remembered thank you sue for your dedication hard work and commitment to team trumman congratulations [Applause] take that all right let's get a photo congratulations more yay and last but certainly not least we have our extraordinary and exceptional Educators from the Wilson Elementary School to celebrate and honor next and to lead in that celebration he's already up here Mr burn and Mr Napolitano is going to assist him and hopefully make sure that he keeps his speeches somewhat Timely by the way Mr Howard has there been a voty spotting in the building Mr burn thank you thank you m Mr burn Mr burn three minutes three minutes Mr burn three minutes three minutes to say Hello thank you so I will I will uh throw everybody off um by sharing with you that um I'm going to quote William Shakespeare tonight um because the fact that um if you want to go to the best you go to the classic and so uh William Shakespeare once said brevity is the soul of wit so I will be brief tonight so that you all can get home at a reasonable time um and that in maybe the the board president will have a different opinion in terms of my ability to be able to speak at different times uh and allow me more times how many more minutes do I have in this opening all right so we're going to do something a little different here tonight because it's Wilson and we do different things at Wilson I'm going to ask all the honores to stand up and come [Applause] together because at Wilson we don't work as individuals we work as a community so uh first of all I'm going to uh ask that we honor Miss Alexa Miller Miss Alexa Miller who was our uh Governor's educator of the Year award thank you Mrs Nano so we are going to honor Alexa because Alexa um is a person of many talents um she has been recognized as the governor's educator the Year award um because of the fact that she's had a very varied uh career U she started out as a behavioral disabilities teacher um she is now a second grade inclusion teacher um she is a a mom a wife so she balances that whole perspective of home as well as her professional responsibilities very nicely um she is has been a mentor to many of our teachers um she has been very active in terms of the fact that she has combined her experiences as being a BD teacher along with her Masters in Reading um so that she uh is able to look at those effective classroom management skills uh as well as m motivating students in terms of whether it's their behavior or whether it's in terms of reading um she has been also a teacher for our morning programs and uh she has uh been a woman has done many different things at at uh Wilson school and we thank you so very very much and we are glad to honor you as the educator uh of the Year from the governor okay thank you so our next person here is Molly cumerford who is our Wilson School Educational Service professional because she is our thank you you can keep going um because she is our she is our library media specialist now I must share that um Mrs cumerford has a great uh I think Mr um um Rino had mentioned before you know about what a media specialist does uh we couldn't do what we do without Mrs cumerford for a variety of reasons uh one of those is that she is like the super reader of the school um and she supports our teachers tremendously whether it be in terms of a literary background whether be in terms of Technology um she is the Greet one of our greeters in the morning so she's outside in the morning so that smiling Irish face you see there that's what people see in the morning when they come to school um now I have to share though a little bit on the other side of it though may I okay certainly so often Mrs cumerford is down at the the end of the hallway in in the media specialist and when I walk down the hallway when she sees me coming many times I can notice that she darts into a classroom because she says I can tell what that look on your eye you have an idea for me um so that um she has actually gone so far as to tell me that I have to stop running uh without music because she thinks that I'm thinking too much when I'm running um and that I need to have music now it's sort of like a you know a little T AET in in regard to that um so I I have actually been able to convince her though can I say this publicly okay so um she actually has a secret desire to be the manager of the New York Mets um and so I told her that I would I would write Steve Cohen personally uh and tell him that he should consider uh Mrs cumerford as being uh maybe not the manager um okay uh but actually on the on the Mets team because the fact that um she has such a baseball Acumen and she she famously wears her Mets Shir uh jacket uh to school so that's what actually one of the first words that our preschoolers learn is Mets finally um we have uh Rachel kler now now I I must share that Rachel uh um I don't know what your Cadian rhythm is um but um she is there at4 to 7 in the morning and she doesn't leave till 6:30 or later at night because Rachel also serves the school not only as being one of our fantastic uh esps but also she is the psite coordinator for Leading Edge so that she's there very early in the morning and she's there very late at night uh taking care of all the children and the the skill that you've developed over the years by doing that because she's a very very patient person very very patient very kind very thoughtful even when if I might say the students aren't that way to her um she's that way to them so she's a tremendous model um to all of us at Wilson and it's a great privilege and honor to to recognize you this evening for this great award thank you very much Rachel thank you much thank you [Applause] here we go ready little picture thank you congratulations guys Molly don't worry when I see Mr burn coming I Dart into the nearest classroom too in fact raise your hand if you Dart in the the nearest classroom I just didn't think you noticed now we do have one more special person that we want to recognize she's not with us today she's in our Central Administration and she's the central Administration or central office I should say education support professional of the year and Miss Hill is going to say a few words on her behalf Miss Hill so tonight I am very proud to talk to you about Kathy beish um Kathy has been with the district for 23 years and has been in her current role as payroll specialist for over 10 years uh she is an invaluable resource not just for us here in central office but employees districtwide her knowledge and willingness to help makes her someone that people can depend on for assistance and guidance on All Things payroll related we can't thank her enough for the support she offers to us here in central office but also to all of our employees throughout the [Applause] district and with that we again want to give a heartfelt thank you to all our extraordinary teachers Education Services professionals education support professionals throughout the district but particularly the remarkable people that we recognize this evening for for everything that they do for all their students your service is incredibly impressive moreover your spirit and your attitude and your work ethic is so inspiring and we are so blessed to have you in saille thank you very very much for [Applause] everyone so Mrs Bloom that concludes this part of our presentation we are now going to give our HIV ratings presentation for anybody that'd like to stick around for that if not we'll give you a couple of minutes to find your way out the exit a board members you have to stay for this thank you everyone for coming out bye sweetie I think I line them up Let Them Sit because I know could be like 2 minutes in between each one oh well yeah but that I don't know let me think about it cut down the well but if it's 30 minutes it's 30 minutes who cares if they cut each other off and then that's on them [Applause] [Music] [Music] I'm tired myself just that oh I've I've been up since 7 o' this morning cuz this trips you know I had to be there okay Mrs Bloom Sir Mr Glock Malloy is prepared to give a a very very brief presentation on our ratings the presentation has been posted on the website if you're one of the millions of people that are viewing from home um but board members you do have the presentation in front of you now again he's going to give you a very brief uh presentation of that Mr Clark Malloy board members as you can see from the the title page really this is not new information for us this was our 2223 numbers this was presented to you in October um October 17th our board meeting the only update we have here is that on May 8th the NJ doe um confirmed our submission we got our official release which is now posted on our website there were no changes or recommendations so everything that was presented to you in October maintains the same in our official release any questions thank you very much sir thank you and with that Mrs Bloom that concludes our presentations for this evening okay uh moving on to board discussion finance and infrastructure committee Mr Smith so thank you president Bloom May 14th we met virtually to discuss finance and infrastructure referendum bids are moving forward bids uh the first second third bid are all underway that's for roofing windows and HVAC systems our fourth bid for electrical upgrades at the school is still waiting on equipment and the schedule from the vendor uh the fifth bid for the Su uh the upper elementary school and the middle school um was awarded in February and work is begun removing boilers and getting ready for new ones to be installed uh windows at Wilson in the uh upper elementary school and the War Memorial High School have been awarded we're just waiting on submitt from the vendor um the seventh bid we've decided to combine into a new ninth bid uh that's in a hopes to reduce the overall cost for all those projects uh at the advice of our engineers and Architects and finally good news at the big space um HVAC project throughout the school all large spaces are now air conditioned and working the final fire alarm part was installed and and is now fully functional at Eisenhower so all large spaces are air conditioned in the district that's the highlights of the finance meeting thank you Mr Smith okay Personnel committee Mrs pilac uh the Personnel committee met earlier this evening we reviewed open positions for both certificated and non-certificated staff for uh both this year and some projections for next year uh we also have the pleasure of meeting Mr Anthony maruchi who is on the agenda for approval um for a new Vice uh principal role over both the middle school and the high school um we also spoke a little bit about our May 4th career and job fair uh which was very well attended we had about 40 um attendees uh and the department is onboarding lots of substitute teachers so lots of stuff going on in Personnel thank you Mrs pilac um I am going to digress for one minute from the middlex County School Board Association I neglected to say earlier that in preparation for Memorial Day the sville American Legion places American flags on all veterans Graves grave sites at St Stan cemetery and this year our teachers from the bombers Beyond asked the legion if there were any projects that the students could help with and over the course of two days seven of our bomber Beyond students placed 400 flags on Veterans grave sites um other organizations in town put flags at the other cemeteries but our kids did it in two days remarkable and now for the middle sex County School Board Association our meetings concluded with the last meeting so we will be meeting over the summer to schedule meetings for next year and I will keep you apprised of the dates and now uh we will open public participation on agenda items only anybody from the public on agenda items only seeing none we will close public and Dr L take us through your report okay let's begin with number 14 which you can find on page three we're asking to accept a very generous donation from the south Amoy Knights of Columbus and the seller dwellers ban and that was made to the bombers Beyond program in the amount of $200 number 15 which you can find in page three we're asking you to accept the F year 2024 Grant award for the climate change education and resilience Grant and we can't thank Miss Bert Miss Gman miss Ma miss Ma Maharana Mr Howard they miss anybody miss cpro and miss OK Conor for all their hard work working together to uh win this grant which is a great accomp accomplishment so we thank them Numbers 22 and 26 through 26 you can find in pages 4 through6 we're asking you to approve self-insured medical Vision prescription and dental insurance coverage rates for the period of July 1st 2024 through June 30th 2025 number 37 which you can find the addendum we're asking you to approve the lease agreement for 132 Main Street um what what it's Unit D I believe Unit D uh for the period of July 1st 2024 through June 30th 2027 and Mr Nasser can you tell everybody what we're going to be using that new unit for so we recognize that not all of our young adults are interested in Food Service they may try it and not like it or maybe they just don't like it from the beginning so we're going to Branch out into retail so we're looking at the bombers unified apparel and Community Hub we dro the bombers Beyond from the name at the student suggestion because they want to include all bombers merchandise in this location for sale it's pretty cool very nice so any community members that are looking for some great bomber gear whether it's cross volleyball football basketball you know where to get it now beginning in September you can get it right down there at 132 Main Street and we'll adjust the hours so that people can get there after school we're thinking about opening until 6 o'clock so we'll open 1:00 to 6 o'clock Cafe obviously closes at 12:00 so there'll be an hour turnaround and then we're going to do some split shifts with the kids and the unique thing about this is we're calling it unified so that our our children with or our adults with intellectual disabilities will work side by side with their typically developing peers okay moving along well first of all any questions on those items or anything else on finance and infrastructure seeing none I'll move along to student achievement we're asking to approve the long-term suspension of multiple students you can find that on page 11 and the addendum any questions on student achievement seeing none we don't have any governance moot other than our normal HIV motion so I'll move along to Personnel numbers five and 30 which you can find on page 16 in the addendum we're asking to hire new certificated and non-certificated staff for this school year numberers six and seven as well as 31 and 32 we're asking you to approve the transfer of certificated uh faculty including Administration and non-certificated staff for the 2023 2024 school year you can find that on pages 16 and 17 in the addendum and I would i' like to note as Miss pilac said earlier we did do an extensive search for the new position of vice principal at the high school in the middle school and it you know not only did this person do remarkable in his interview but the person that we're recommending to you has done extraordinary as an interim vice principal at the high school this year so his body of work speaks volumes about his performance as well as his potential as an educational leader here in the district and I couldn't be prouder to recommend to you Mr Anthony maruchi who is here with us Mr maruchi as our new hybrid High school/ middle school vice principal number 11 which you can find on Pages 18 through 20 we're asking you to appoint coaches with their stiens for the 2024 2025 school year numbers 18 and 19 which you can find on page 23 we're asking you to appoint and we're going to do the final one in June great and finally numbers 22- 25 as well as number 35 which you can find on pages 2 5 and 26 and the addendum we're asking you to renew the employment of our certificated administrative staff our certificated faculty and our paraprofessionals for the 2024 2025 school year during our next meeting we'll ask you to do the same for our non-certificated staff such as our custodians maintenance workers bus drivers cafeteria workers bus AIDS and cafeteria playground AIDS as as well as secretaries Mrs Bloom that concludes my report thank you Dr lvy okay at this point we will open to public participation oh no I'm sorry we need to vote oh see I get 3 hours on the bus I will never do that again um do the wheels on the bus go round and round no we were like going one mile a minute it was awful one mile an hour anyway the day was nice the bus ride was terrible um Miss Hill roll call please uh we need a motion no moved that's Smith so I got Mrs Mr Smith and then Mrs npal Tano okay Mr Callahan yes Mr Fernandez yes Mrs npal Tano yes Mrs Pabon yes Miss pyck yes Mr Smith yes Mr Walsh yes and Mrs Bloom yes okay now we will open to public we are going to tonight uh try a different format we are going to uh limit public participation to 30 minutes total we will ask anyone who wants to speak to please line up and we will ask if you are a saille resident that you speak first okay yeah the maximum is three minutes per person but if you have less to say that's fine 30 minutes total could allow me a couple extras hopefully you can allow me a couple extra minutes um I wanted to first thank uh Rosa and Elizabeth for their bravery in that school bus a fire and also congratulations to all the teachers that uh uh received Awards tonight um I want to talk about the warehouses and the pilot on Chief Road sorry you didn't state your name or your address Bill Henry uh Orchard Street um I I like I said I like to talk about the warehouses and the pile on of Cheesequake Road this development could potentially cost a school and taxpayers close to a half a billion dollars and again that's a half a billion with a b um per Phoenix advisor's analysis the school will lose $92 million this year which is a very conservative but also a substantial number these are their um numbers here that had gotten a copy of um so let's look at the numbers Fenix advisers increases the conventional tax base by 2% each year um starting with uh year one is 4,021 uh and year 30 is 7,142 this is only a 78% increase over 30 years in 1995 my tax was $3,856 in 2024 30 years later my tax is $121 15 which is a $ 34% increase I have a list of the tax taxes for the last um 22 years I didn't have the earlier ones of the increases in the tax rates in cble um so without a doubt this $92 million we're going to be losing now uh could easily be $50 million or more that the school will lose in taxes so why do I say half a billion dollars because this is a phase one that possibly has two more phases to it if the company completes the next two phases which they plan to do and if they have the same pilot as the first one you could easily Multiply 150 by three which would be $450 million and as per their presentation the pilots could be extended to 50 years and um I just wanted to show you this part here um this is the um several um uh Redevelopment um thing that they put out at the last meeting and it says Pilots have a maximum term of 30 years from completion or 35 years from execution of financial agreement or 50 years if two or more sequential projects are undertaken which they plan on doing so that could extend these Pilots to 50 years longer or 50 years in total um last year when I was running for RO office I introduced myself to is that my time that's your time can I continue or no no sir I have about two minutes no sir okay thank you thank you can I come back up if someone else no sir thank you for your time thank you [Applause] good evening can you get hear me okay M good evening my name is Lady Maldonado 14 Road Street um I'm a financial crime compliance professional certified anti-money laundering specialist and most importantly mother of five children currently attending Sero Public Schools between K and nine grade I first of all I want to thank you all for your service in representing our community in the bordered in the same breath I want to remind you that you are elected officials representing the community and as such we expect you to represent us all I have been following the Board of Ed meetings and have read set policy 5756 which I have here markings and all I'm representing parents within this District that don't agree with the policy and to clarify that the sentiments expressed by some board members and Dr Labby in the last meeting does not represent all Cal parents to lay the foundation I would like to remind everyone that this policy is not a mandate but rather guidance it is within the district's purview to Define if and how to implement but just so you know at least nine uh new New Jersey districts have repealed this policy as of as an FYI in 2021 when I registered my five children in this District I was advised that District's policy is to report children's names as per their birth certificate yet per this policy if my 5-year-old daughter feels like she wants to be called John it's okay and as her parent I don't need to be informed can I just say the number of times she changes her mind about breakfast in is mindboggling same goes for all my kids even more how many college students change their mind about majors at least once so how can we make a policy banking on kids feelings and I want to put this example to you so let's say Mr Fernandez for example states that he identifies as Superman and as such he believes he can fly so will you let Mr Fernandez jump off the roof because he feels he can fly of course you wouldn't because you know that isn't true number one and number two it poses a danger to him to paraphrase Proverbs 3:12 the Lord deci disciplines the child he loves our job as parents and adults is not to cater to Children's feelings but to guide them in Truth and Love in the end we are accountable for the children God has entrusted in our care and as a woman of faith it is my moral duty to prevent any dysmorphia or ideologies from confus confusing or hurting my children so I will leave you with this as parents we have access to 504 plans IEP encourse Gog Guardian um parent stop finder to stay on top of our children's progress performance and whereabouts but if they identify against their god-given identity then our rights as parents are taken away how is this policy in our children's best interest when it clearly drives a wedge between parent child communication family Dynamic and respect my ask is simple what will it take for you to consider repealing this policy and if not will you commit to at least reviewing and revising it to find a common ground for all stakeholders let us put P pen to paper and moving uh to protect our ofer children not just for select minority at the expense of the majority and will follow up with you guys with an email um with more [Applause] information Dan Finn Aberdine here's some clarification from the last meeting anyone who undermines my responsibility role and Authority as a parent especially in areas is that have no business venturing into is a scoundrel that said my mother was a teacher my wife is a teacher and I teach Sunday school I have great respect for teachers and I also appreciate this board's service to this community community our current liberalized system puts teachers and administrators into a bad position where they are wittingly or unwittingly undermining parents due to policies like 5756 six they are instructed to affirm without question use pronouns chosen by children withhold information from parents and more and they have an unfair Advantage we know kids want independence so it is no wonder many kids gravitate towards liberalism and away from parental Authority when given the chance at the last meeting some of you were very dismissive and strongly derided the conservative voices I hope they did not speak for all the members of this B OE when they stated we are not welcome here should not come back and there would be consequences if we did but no one countered those harsh sentiments so I am wondering if some of you are also actually intimidated by this extreme liberalism that is not tolerant some of you went as far as calling those making comments Liars when they told you residents brought specific concerns to them and are afraid to speak up I don't believe the I do not believe the assertion made that nobody on this Boe cares about our concerns or will vote against the very bad lgbtqia A++ plus policy and I pray your assertion made on live stream that nobody watching cares about the concerted indoctrination and agenda over sexualization government overreach and undermining of Parental Authority roles and responsibility is true either is not true either I hope many will watch the May 7th meeting starting at time 39 to judge for themselves and I hope many parents are watching tonight and will let you know they do care our entire doe has been systematically liberalized making local control and discernment of board members more important than ever we hear so much about bullying from the left but I wonder how many realize it is actually being used to censor and silence conservative values as these radical policies are ushered in the there is clearly intimidation and bullying going on felt by any who dare oppose the religion of humanism being pushed or by those who speak up against special rights for a few at the expense of long held constitutional rights and religious freedoms concerned parents Boe members across the state and especially kids who don't feel they can speak up and say anything counter to the Mantra are being marginalized sir thank you for your participation thank you good evening once again my name is Kim Linley I am a former special education teacher and former sville resident and uh this evening I want to uh first I want to start off with thank you for taking your volunteering your time and energy for the um academic I'm sorry Ed for the to ensure the educational needs and safety of all students in your District tonight I would like to start my comment comments pretending how pleasantly surprised I was in regards to your District's website you do offer a lot of resources information for parents policy 24550 which is Title One School parent family engagement this policy is a com compact between parent teacher and student in one portion of the policy 24550 includes the responsibilities of a teacher which are as follows by your your resources provide quality teaching and model behaviors for my students and families communicate frequently with families about students progress use technology as a assessment tool and teaching tool provide frequent feedback to students about their academic performance and participation participating in meaningful development enhanced structural skills this policy is in conflict with policy 5756 in policy 5756 the student in the school have a more active relationship when a student does not decide to identify as another gender they are able to make their own decision the school does not need to inform the parents unless the students agree also the school keeps a confidential file from the parent the teachers do not have to inform the parent and the school social worker balances the right of the students needing support and requirement that the parent/guardian may be informed I'm the parent I'm sorry I like how I don't see how that can be so this is unbelievable my question would be why wouldn't you resend this policy the two are contradictory it's the parent they're a gift in school and in school it's a community it's not a family um these policies excuse me these policies contradict with each other the Compact and more importantly the trust is broken how can a parent know what the truth is this is not a solid relationship a teacher is given the opportunity to inspire students to learn they are taught how to socialize with others and more importantly how to think and solve problems the teachers to communicate with a uh parent both academic and social relation skills a teacher calls for social worker when or school psychologist when needed in order to resume instructing that's is your basis for your employment the classroom and schools as I said are not a community or me the school Community School is a community and not a family a former as a former teacher I was blessed to have my passion as a career I loved my students while I was teaching since I couldn't be with mine what a better choice I was able to have my students were my my students were not my children at the end of the day thank you thank you so much for your time and I have our reports that you mentioned last time and teachers were quitting enough enough for to speak up thank [Applause] you hello my name is Ron Mack I'm from Oldbridge and uh I want to thank you for being here tonight um uh the I agree with the first gentleman that was uh heroic what happened with the bus this last week and uh I would like to ask a question here um I'm a Aerospace executive by trade I've been in the top Aerospace meetings with Boeing and Airbus and Bell Helicopter and Mitsubishi it's the first time I've seen an executive uh zone out deliberately to shut out somebody in a public meeting like this um but I'd like to say uh Mr Labby the buck stops with you and uh I can sign for the de if that would help you um and uh he's not listening so you'll have to tell him afterwards um the if when Boeing I was a Boeing engineer when Boeing has panels fall off as you all have seen that's a serious thing but at 10,000 ft what happened in that out Outer wing panel was not as dangerous as what happened to the six uh school children that barely made it off that bus before every one of you saw the video that happened here so I think Dr Labby you need to issue a report and not from the experts the buck stops with you you're making a quarter million a year and you need to issue a report on the safety of these Boeing would recall the planes there'd be a safety inspection and the word is risk mitigation I'm asking you to do a study not from the experts from you as to what the uh the safety is of the children on the school buses in cille thank you [Applause] [Music] [Applause] my name is Jennifer Woodruff and I am a resident of Morganville that was a very nice ceremony recognizing your outstanding teachers that was very nice um you know my stance against the 5756 transgender policy but it's not just the policy our government is getting increasingly involved with the public education system when it comes to mental health issues while eliminating parental rights and their involvement in the process we can put our heads in the sand and be silent or we can speak out against government overreach the government is mandating School curriculum that includes gender identity this is not only in the health curriculum where a student may be able to opt out but it is also sprinkled in other subjects under lad the government has mandated that children can use bathrooms and locker rooms and be on the sports team based on their gender identity also because of government pressure there is school curriculum that describes all kinds of sex acts this is not to learn about reproductive Health Care rather it borders on pornography there is a bill introduced in the Senate S11 188 to lower the age to 14 for a child to secure mental health services and the state is the one to decide whether parents are involved Senate bill 3156 is another bill being introduced this will allow Boards of Education to lease property to federally qualified Health centors abbreviated fqhcs for students to easily access a broad range of physical mental and Behavioral Services right on school grounds again these services will be confidential parental consent is not required the medical records of these Health Centers would be off limits to parents for children's ages 14 and up if the S11 188 bill passes there is also a bill njac 67 which among other things prohibits parents from attending teacher training sessions why are we pushing out the parents as board members you have a big responsibility on and are The Gatekeepers at the local Lev in our local level in our public education system we plead with you to push back on this government overreach the government and schools are not responsible for the Social and moral development of a child that is the parents job instructors are to teach the three Rs let's keep social moral and mental health issues to the parents thank you hello good evening cable School Board my name is Kevin Francis I'm local I reside right here in nearby South ambo just to be clear I was requ requested by one of your school parents to be here terrified for their child's safety um I'm here also on behalf of Gaye against groomers New Jersey chapter we are a nonprofit organization that advocates for parental rights across the country I'm speaking with you tonight and many others as well speaking on behalf of many others in New Jersey and we're deeply concerned about the problematic consequences that are bound to come into the district by lying and keeping secrets from parents by abolishing parental with policy 5756 many districts locally have successfully abolished 5756 and some of them include Oldbridge Freehold cnck Middletown Homedale and many more um myself and co- chapter members highly encourage sville to follow suit parents have every right to know if their child is sharing a bathroom with the opposite sex parents have every right to know if their child is LGBT parents have every right to know if their child is in mental turmoil and parents knowing who their children are is nonpartisan New Jersey Law already prohibits discrimination based on race sexual or orientation religion and ethnicity yet school districts around the state have adapted this vile policy which prohibits the parent to be notified if their child is in a mental crisis to think this is even a good idea is irresponsible and immoral it is astronomically repulsive that school districts throughout New Jersey are calling parents who want to know about their child child's academic academic life bigots homophobes and transphobes it's not the job of sville schools all the way to the New Jersey Department of Education to be parenting the students and it's not the job of the education system worldwide to influence children with any types of politics and ideology being pro being proac proactive encouraging students to be the best that they can be has always been done I speak from experience as someone who attended Edison schools graduating in the class of 2013 indoctrinating kids into thinking they are victims or oppressors is obvious Marxist ideology and Must Be Stopped policy 5756 needs to be erased and all students deserve help from from their parents parental rights is a nonpartisan issue it never was and it never will be we will not stop until you uh leave the kids alone please do the right thing abolish 5756 thank you [Applause] um I'm Carolyn Mack and um I'm one of the citizens who came to the May 7th please your residence I live in Oldbridge um so I came to the May 7th school board meeting and spoke from the mic tonight I want to speak again cuz I do want to respond to what I consider to be inflammatory comments from Miss paban um um and I do want to publicly correct the record because accusations were made um she not only misunderstood the well documented truth of grooming on various disadvantaged children including autistic children but she also totally misunder Excuse me yes well I'm going to be using my time I said I want to I want the public record to be corrected because you made some accusations um you totally misunderstood the well documented truth of grooming and various disadvantaged children including autistic children and you totally misunderstood the example of Nazi Germany's sterilization program during World War II any informed adult who is listening and putting my words into context would no I was not being anti-semitic that was your accusation quite the contrary I was saying that similar to Nazi Germany's forced sterilization program some children who follow the protocol for changing genders will also become sterile except they will have done so willingly clearly I am not advocating sterilization and I am not anti-Semitic the nberg trials Expos the ugly truth of forced sterilization on 400,000 Innocents when a board member speaks as Miss paon did who malign and twists the words of parents and citizens to say something opposite and contrary it does reflect on the whole board she also took the liberty to say nobody on the board would vote against the policy we spoke about so I would like to ask was that a true state M my husband and I had a special needs child for nearly 32 years and I was sensitive to the reality that he would be an easy target for any predator I'm glad that the laws were different back then and I do empathize with today's special needs child as well as all children in public schools your hands are full we are trying to alert you to a law that is making you vulnerable to lawsuits are you aware of what is happening in Marlboro right now it was local news two weeks ago it is national news today and it involves a teacher and a special needs middle school girl thank you [Applause] hi my name is Alice Marie I'm from cols Neck New Jersey and I just wanted to emphasize that this is an issue because of what is happening in the state we've seen what's happened in California um there are 14y olds and the now the age of consent they're trying to limit it's past the assembly to allow 14y olds to um have the health therapy which means taking hormones on their own without parental notification gender dysphoria that affects women they say have a 52% to further go on to affirmation surgery and in California because of the youthful age it's been happening and we have lots of people detransitioning from that 11 studies including the Toronto 2021 study shows that children with gender dysphoria revert back to their birth gender 80 to 90% by the time they're 18 so in the schools this is an issue this is an issue if Health Services according to that new law um 36 3156 I think it was that they are putting through to have health centers right on the school grounds and then the the also the dropping of the age of consent for to not have parental permission to take these hormones can be very damaging to children they are not their brain is still developing they're making choices that they're not able to take if that's the case why don't we let them drive and why don't they we let them smoke and drink and all the things that the adults can do so there's an issue right there um I just wanted to give you a short um testimony from Khloe Cole who spoke in front of con who is one of the big cases of detransitioning and how it affected her as a child she's she starts saying that she um is a d transitioner this is in front of Congress another way to put this is that I used to believe that I was born in the wrong body and the adults in my life who I trusted affirmed my belief and this caused me lifelong irreversible harm I speak to you today as a victim of one of the biggest medical scandals in the history of the United States of America I speak to you in the hope that you will have the courage to bring this Scandal to an end and ensure that other vulnerable teenagers children and young adults don't go through what I went through so she talks about the age of 12 she began her experience and um then she goes on to say would you that um the counselors uh told her parents that I need to be put on puberty blockers right away they asked my parents a simple question would you rather have a dead daughter or a living transgender son that choice was enough for my parents to let their guard down in retrospect I would like to continue this at another time but I want you m' thank you for your participation but your time's up and consider repealing 5756 thank you so much [Applause] um first I'd like to clear the record up that my name is Eileen pone p a b o n and I've been on the board for this my fourth year um the good thing about these meetings is they are taped so everybody who thinks they heard me make an accusation can go back to the tape and listen to what I actually said what I said was I felt that um you had lot of nerve comparing Nazi Germany to your cause when there was a turmoil in the world in Israel and then I said that there's anti-Semitism in our country I did not accuse you of being anti-semitic I didn't say anything about you personally or anything that was related to um Nazi Germany and you did uh talk about the autism and I also felt that that that was a little extreme and the good thing about being on this board is I did not give up my rights to my own opinion by becoming a board member when I got elected that rate did not go away I'm just as American as you are and I am free to speak my mind so the fact that you didn't like what I said I didn't like what you said so that's the way I responded but do not try to make a false accusation go back to the the tape and listen to what I said I don't care if you debate me you don't agree with me or you think I'm wrong but I do care that you're making false statement so have a great evening I I would just like to say real quick um first off the gentleman who brought up the conversation about the pilot programs um I do agree with them I do think that the school district does need to be involved in Pilot programs that go on in the town uh as far as the bulk of the people here you're trying to make an issue out of what is a nonissue here in sville what's happening in California great go talk in California what's happening in Trenton great go talk in Trenton what's not happening here in sville don't create subjects that don't happen here we just honored several dozen teachers tonight not because they're grooming somebody not because they're encouraging a methodology or a theory or something like that because they're doing a great job teaching our kids how to read how to do math how about Civics about social studies that's what our teachers do here in sville we don't have an issue that you're standing up there pretending as non-residents of sville the vast majority of you that we have here in Sarahville so bring the argument to where it matters is Trenton California it doesn't belong [Applause] here one more comment for the resident of Saville about the um Pilots I actually did as a private citizen start up a group against the pilots I went to the meeting originally before the U mayor was reelected um when Kilpatrick was the mayor they did kill the pilot they voted against it we were all happy Jim Robinson was leading the way feeding us information because we didn't all know about Pilots like he does he's very he knows his stuff about the pilots um so I did form a group because I was against it I'm personally against it so I don't want you to think that I don't care about our tax dollars or anything cuz I do thank you any else so moved second all
