I'm sorry which one 42 would you like to approve the consent agenda with the exception of 42 yes all right do I have a motion to approve the consent agenda with the exception of 42 I'll make the motion second Miss Anderson yes Mrs Bal Miller yes Mr mcaffrey yes Miss Snider yes mayor Lambert yes resolution 42 2025 approving employment agreements for various employees Mason Eisen let's Winkle spec um so last we met use your microphone sorry last we met we it was a it was in it was a three-year contract and then there was discussion of it be of be of changing it to a two-year contract right yes so um I I I can see both sides of it but I do think that um we went into close session to discuss this back in December and heard crickets and all the contracts and spreadsheets were provided a couple things were missing and then they were provided I know our CFO has chimed in and um you know every time we negotiate it could potentially cost us more money because as she noted you know a 2% raise is the lowest that we can provide and if we can get it for three years why not and instead of having it for two years in which case it could potentially cost the burrow more money um and a lot more time so I just think that um you know that's our cfo's words not mine and um I'm personally satisfied with the three-year contracts and commend the jobs that are being done and I um think we've built a really good team and I I don't have a problem with a three-year contract okay thank you um basically I don't think anybody per se has a problem with a three-year contract it's just that we felt we were getting information in dribs and drabs and we were still getting it at the last minute who's we um I know I felt that way I believe Mr mcaffrey did and I don't want to put anybody's words in their mouth but I know uh Miss Anderson was calling today was still having questions because she hadn't received it so I'm not averse to going forward a three-year contract and I think like we're negotiating with the police and we're negotiating for a three-year there I just think in this instance we didn't have the whole picture and I thought it'd be irresponsible and obviously people agreed that we needed the whole picture before we because in the past we just said what was the raise okay but we didn't really examine the contracts and that's what we want to do and I now we talked about it and I think we have this understanding going forward that we get all this information hopefully a month ahead of time because they said they were negotiations SE since September but we were basically getting a lot of it the day that we were first asked to and then it came in and drivs and drabs after that well I mean we are going to get some information day of two days ahead I mean that's just the way things go you know it's just you I don't think we can avoid that sometimes and certainly we would prefer not to have that happen but sometimes it just does um especially towards the end of the year which This was um I mean I I've met with Bruce today just to see the contract a little bit just to see and contracts are very simple they're two pages e e e e e e e e BL you bless you all right we are reconvening the public meeting Monday January 13 2025 at 7:05 right now we have we're presenting resolution number 28 2025 a resolution of the Council of the burough Beach Haven committing to round four present and prospective need affordable housing obligation is there a motion to approve 28-22 I make the motion I'll second it Miss Anderson yes Mrs B Miller yes Mr mcaffrey yes Miss Snider yes mayor Lambert yes all right for uh General discussion item number one is a proposed ordinance we're discussing gas powerered air compressors and quiet run generators Jan okay so um the first item of for General discussion was whether or not to change the ordinance that recently just went into effect to include all gas powerered equipment on a construction site now there was just some kind of a little miscommunication with code enforcement whether or not any gas powerered equipment was allowed on a construction site and I don't feel that there is any need to change anything in the ordinance that we have I do feel that there are some equipment that does need to be gas generated because it does allow some things to happen relatively quickly on a construction site particularly a gas powerered air compressor for nail guns and whatnot so I'm not looking to change anything in the ordinance and you know construction sites would continue to use gas powerered air compressors I don't see a problem with that but just to to let the public know in the room and on Zoom where this originally came from is that everyone on on the DS here has seen a lot of development in fact if you look at the permits in zoning in the past three years they they double each year so we are really in the process of a lot of building and a lot of construction and we all are year-round residents here so for example on my street in between Beach and Atlantic I've had four houses built in the last six years so I'm very well versed on what happens on these construction sites so everyone on the Block first deals with the pilings being driven in and if the special equipment to actually screw them into the ground isn't available because they're putting in other pilings they will slam those pilings in until the proper equipment comes so your whole house shakes and if you have an older house you're you start to get cracks in your cement and whatnot then you have also the pleasantries of flat tires on your street often because the roads flood some construction sites are not cleaned up as well as others some construction sites don't use the metal rakes some do some construction sites are very clean others are not then you have the uh plastic dust which is also in this ordinance which was all over my car because everything is plastic now and I actually took it into class and did a whole lesson on it under the microscope and you can see it it's shards it's everywhere gets into the water and whatnot and then you have the uh pool dewatering as well for a good one to two weeks and then the fiberglass people come and if you don't call code enforcement it just goes all over the place and it was interesting when uh I would call code enforcement or I'd call Sher to call code enforcement or I would actually call the police on the weekend again and some construction sites they would wait till I left my driveway and then they would come and they would you know do it again and I just had eye surgery so I'm trying to sit outside get my vitamin D and I have fiberglass you know shards coming over into my newly eyeball but anyway we all deal with this we all understand that you know people are trying to make money but this ordinance again comes from gas power generator where I had the pleasure of having an entire house build cross the street with me with two gas power generators for over a year so not only did I have to listen to that but everyone on the block all summer had to listen to that as well not only listen to it but smell it so the reason for this previous ordinance was the quality of life that we have in town and we're trying to work with the builders and we're working with the you know developers to not be as Draconian but however we also live here so sometimes we need to take a step back and put these laws into place to keep the quality of life worth living here in Beach Haven so for right now I do not need to I don't see there's any reason to change this ordinance like I said there is a need for gas powerered uh equipment but I'm just asking that if the developers in this room or are on Zoom to to just be a little bit more cognizant of the neighbors to maybe not run that gas-powered equipment um in the middle of the day when someone is outside in the middle of July or you know just be cognizant of the neighbors because we are building at a very exponential rate and like I said I don't think that all the developers or all the builders or everyone that's working on the site are causing problems many are not but those that are causing problems it is you know doing something to the quality of life here in town and it's not doesn't seem to be stop in or slowing down it seems to be ever increasing thank you anybody else want to no I'm glad we're not changing the ordinance I yeah and I agree with you I mean it's it's difficult sometimes I've got I've just had to get a tire fix again I've had my street has been under construction for years that's just crazy but I mean hey the only time you know this doesn't bother you is when it's your house and you want it done quickly and you want your Builder to show up every day but and the framer in you know so I get it and we don't want to you know these are a lot of this is little guys and we don't want to hurt the little guy Builders trying to make a living I'm not um I know some I talked to several Builders and I mentioned this to you today Jamie it's a simple fix and I even talked to Pat about it but if even if you built um and you know you know you're a builder in the audience but a wooden box around the generator it would really mitigate the noise coming from the generator and it be very easy to for our Cod en forcer to drive down the street and say oh there's a generator that needs a box around it like if we maybe that would help just something simple like that most everyone has those that material that plywood on on the job site and it's very very easy to build um three Builders agree that that would be a good I didn't come up with the idea they did so I don't know there's certain things we can do and I certainly worry about the environment and you're right with the fiberglass I think making sure that it's contained when it's uh sanded is great but it unless you know unless you care then it most of the time it's not happening you know the bigger Builders are doing I think a better job than sometimes the smaller ones and I don't to criticize the smaller ones and I get it but it's it's um more expensive you know and is more of an investment so it's something I'm glad that you're making um people aware of it and uh we don't want to discourage building you know Builders from working in our town I certainly don't so um just you know raising their Consciousness and making them a little more mindful I think is a good idea okay all way in just very quickly um I've had four houses with within 300 ft of me go up in the last four years I think it's one a year put in a new patio and can't even sit out there because of the but I think one of the most common complaints I've heard since I've been on Council especially in the summer is I paid all this money and I can't enjoy you know I'm awaken B and then we've had the contractors come in and say hey you can't do this to us so I think when we try to reach a compromise like this it's a good thing for everybody I know it may not be everybody's favorite thing but I think whatever we can do to keep the contractors working and to keep the people around them somewhat happy I think that's the uh the line we're walking here any other discussion on that okay item number two under General discussion we've been uh very fortunate the past two years our applications for recreation funding have been approved so I'm asking for your permission to go ahead and apply again this year for funding for the recreation Grant um the max we can ask for is 100,000 so I would like to apply for another Recreation Grant this year we'll ask for the max um and we just wrote a very basic description of all the parks Walsh Taylor veterans and Nelson and we're looking to install shade items trees structures upgrading lighting and possibly repairing the tennis facilities so really what I'm asking is just your permission to go ahead and apply for another Grant this year and if you are in favor I have a resolution lighting at Taylor I know Chris asked for it that last year yes Chris has asked for the lighting year after you so that would be great and um I can't imagine saying no to that request I make a motion to approve your resolution 39 resolution 39 2025 authorizing application to the Department of Community Affairs for recreation grant funding you're my motion Lori yep thank you I'll second thank you Miss Miss Anderson yes Mrs ball Miller yes Mr mcaffrey yes Miss Snider yes mayor Lambert yes and then the third item is the pending special events applications not sure how you want to organize this discussion okay um Mary CLA I know you've gotten a lot of different um submissions and even only it's January everybody's jumping on board which is a good thing in a lot of ways but there are some of them that I think require a little more detailed discussion and um does anybody want to kick it off or we just say I made um comments to Mary CLA we've been emailing back and forth with a little discussion and I said you know that's get it out in the open and let's see if anyone from the businesses can chime in I know that some businesses have reached out to to some Council people and we want a healthy shoulder season we want a healthy summer but again we also have to there's that fine line between people that own businesses and they're trying to make as much profit in the short season and then we have these events that don't really cost as much as the rent that these businesses are pay so we have different events now that want to come on a shoulder season that really don't have a particular theme to them but are are more or less like a a music festival or a food truck festival and just make it clear that doesn't pertain to to our our volunteers that we're trying to right to do that I even said that in email that's that's that's a whole different animal but uh we need to really kind of uh weigh in on these events that do not have a specific theme and whether or not we should allow them and those that do have a specific theme you know where's the fine line of where they're totally competing with the businesses or actually bringing in people and bringing in business bringing in people and the businesses are also making somewhat somewhat of a profit so I don't really know how to to delegate that yeah it's a kind of a fine line right you know I've heard I know um a business owner approached to me about um Sam Kelly own C she said she was going to reach out to you I I don't know if she did about the um never dawned on me the uh the flea markets that she said HT her business because you know I never thought about that she said her her business is dead those days and um she's like I would love you to give them fewer not don't get rid of them but give them fewer in the month so so you know that and then when you that this music food truck festival came up and then you think about it's sitting in front of just say it's a tiller Avenue in front of these businesses I mean I don't know it doesn't seem fair I mean I definitely am in favor of a fringe you know a vibrant Fringe season and and a vibrant town but I think that we want to make sure that we don't hurt our businesses and we help help our businesses and you know a farmers market is a great thing for a town it brings people in you know I think it's great for a town to have and Brewery is great to have in a town that type of thing but you have to you have to weigh it and be has to make sense right so I think that each application is different from every application so we can't really group things together we have to look at each individual application separately and then just weigh in on whether or not they're hurting or not hurting but competing with the businesses because we don't want yeah reasonably I know that there has been a complaint against the farmers market because someone sells tomatoes and I'm selling Tom they're selling Tomatoes I mean to me that's I don't put as much stake in that because Farmers Market is so great for a town and it's so well loved and it's certainly like I wouldn't have a problem if you have you're bringing in like say like a music something with music but not with you know a whole entire kind of food venue that's competing with so go to the restaurants and get exactly if you're bringing in you know music like some type of show or whatnot then without the food trucks that would be okay with me because you'd be pulling in it's a theme people are coming in for the theme and they're going to spend their money at all the surrounding businesses so you're bringing in so to me it really has to have some type of theme to bring the public in to support the community not just bring in and compete with the businesses so I don't know what to do no I agree I think it's a valid point I had a business owner call me today kind of I won't say panic but a little bit upset and apparently he'd been getting a lot of phone calls because the word was already out there that we were allowing the food truck to come on Taylor Avenue and I'm like well that's news to me and you know we work pretty closely with our business community and they're very supportive of us and we've been very supportive of them and I think it would be a slap in the face to go ahead and allow somebody to Comm in and do something like this and undercut their businesses especially in the shoulder season know we were being I was being as transparent as possible and I asked uh Mary CLA and um Sher to to contact Matt from the beach from the chamber to let him know that we were discussing these types of things if they wanted to weigh in so that's probably where um oh that's where it came from okay I'm like I don't I don't know what you're talking about we were I was like get the information out there because I don't want to make a wrong decision and have you know the businesses come because when they come as a just as we the parking the you know exactly so we want them completely aware of what's happening and want them to weigh in because we want the shoulder season to hurt them not compete with them so that's no and I think your point was well made about if it's something like our fire company or our elementary school or some organization in our town that stands to gain of course but if it's somebody who's just in trying to make money um and if they're competing with our business then I don't think it should be allowed so we're just going to look at each individual application and then as Mary CLA always does she sends it out what's your opinion and then we can all weigh in don't forget to to chime in right so um for the applications that are in so far should I just reach out to you all again tomorrow and yeah that'd be a good idea get your opinions on those ones well yeah I mean I personally have no issues with with any of the camps um right we right now we have um a camp we have the Chow hookup we have that Sunset craft vendor Market in Taylor Avenue Park then she asked for an increase in days yeah that's what we need that's not new but that she did last year was her first year she asked for an increase of two weeks but she was supposed to be on the Bayside and because it was so windy is that the one we're talking about well Chris had told her to set up it where she set up they they met ahead of time and picked the spot in the park that was you know that would work best for the grass there and so so but the weeks she has asked for an additional two weeks they did have a lot of issues last year with wind and they had to cancel a lot of their events and so they hadn't really asked for rain dates last year um and then she ended up you know getting a couple rain dates because many of her weeks were winded out but um so that's one to review then there was the one that you were discussing the Beach Haven food truck and music fetival see I have a problem with the the location when that was for Veterans Park I have a problem with the location when you're directly located behind Bay Village and you're directly located in the vicinity of the actual businesses what I found was you know everyone's getting walking traffic there but you want The Walking traffic to be exclusively for Bay Village and Schooners Warf and then this was taking some of the walking traffic and the products that they were selling you could get them at some of the stores not all I would not I'm not I'm not in support of so that's where I'm kind that's that's like in a direct competition so if we're and there's businesses everywhere I mean you know it's not just over there you know like kaplers I mean how to live and that if it if it's you know we have to be mindful of that we're you know I don't know so tomorrow when I send it out we'll just go over the this that's the one you're talking about is a sunset craft one right right Jamie that's in Taylor Avenue field these craft things or whatnot I almost feel like if you're gonna do a craft event it should be a big event so people are coming in for the craft event more people are coming in for the craft event and then they'll go to the surrounding businesses but when you just have like a little one here and a little one there that's top sh yes that's Tak away from the businesses because they're only getting the walking traffic and we want The Walking traffic to go to the bus I don't think they're bringing business into town no they're not they're definitely not you're gonna have a big craft a big craft show with craft vendors it needs to be a big craft show people are gonna come for that craft show and then maybe go and not but not as many as yeah and I mean I I did meet with the woman that runs the flea market and the craft shows because I I do think it's time to step it up I mean I think we need to make there are wonderful craft shows in this country there's some great ones in barning at light there's some great ones in South Jersey and I think we could have better craft shows there I mean the CRA you know and flea markets I think it's we invite that lady to go to the normal flea market pleas yeah I mean it's just yeah some we could it could we have that Friday afternoon one too there's also the the um the one that's at Veterans Park that runs along Atlantic City I mean Atlantic City Atlantic Avenue she does every Friday right so we got a lot of these little ones going on you know I did actually Sam Kelly came to me a couple years ago and I brought it up here and I don't know if you remember and the Chamber of Commerce was like no we like them we think they bring business into town and got shut down pretty quickly about that she approached me during the holiday cele she said she job yeah I mean this time she hadn't but she had before and and then absolutely nobody said we don't want them anymore so that was the problem like okay and I backed off you with a lot of the the smaller craft and I went to them they I liked some of the the merchandise I see a lot of stores too um combining with a lot of these smaller little crafters and having popup shops in their shop I know that um Sinker swim does that how to live uh does that where they have their own popups within their shop so they're advertising not not only are they you know selling their own particular merchandise but they're also having like popup yeah earrings or whatnot so I'd rather see the businesses have their own popups higher level Artisan you know yes higher level last year I took pictures of one I was walking by in that one I guess it was a flea market but there was a giant truck in there taking blood pressure and like or giving you foot massages yeah weird it's a giant tractor like a tractor trailer I have a picture of it off I swear to God I'm like what the heck we don't need that in our town that's junk no we don't need that that's not crafts that's that's just you know I think it's time to step it up or rethink it so so basically you'll send it out and then we will give you our comments and hopefully it needs more public comment we can discuss it but that hopefully will give you the direction you need you anticipate you're going to be get some denials some sort of kind of based on what we're talking about tonight we're looking to we're I think we're looking to to scale back or you know think outside the box with some of these Artisan craft vendors option to have a cause and you know if can they make a donation would you could we ask them we'll give you this day or that day or two days if it's got a theme and so you're saying if it's a charitable organization or if they have something like that it's more favorable does that sound any better kind of depends I I wouldn't jump the fire department or police department oh well that's yeah that's I mean the markets do one a summer for each great Mary CLA one for the museum and one's for cap cap yeah but then the other ones are for profit and that's you know hey it's got to make a living so but if you're going to bring this to our town let's think let's do a better job do a you know maybe find some better vendors that's all they're not all selling the same thing our stents or they have two events that they run themselves the fire department has two they have well besides their other ones but they have the one uh the craft beer one that I sent out and then later on they'll do a block party one that's the same weekend as chow or cook off are you still gonna do it I mean you haven't done it in the park in so long what they do it on Amber they do it on Amber yeah I know but don't you still apply for Veterans Park for that no no no okay sorry I'm I'm wrong they did the Beer Fest at the end of April in no no I know that I know that but I thought see that's what I thought no that's for the that's for the food truck one Jim I was just wondering I thought we saw that last year that they applied for then they still kept it on Amber I just wondered you're being invited no yes because the record won't show fire chief hun South Bay have uh this year I don't know because we haven't planned it out yet we're going to be doing a housing uh the Two Towns decided to buy the fire company a new fire truck and we really want to celebrate that and bring as many firefighters and people into the town as possible this fall so we haven't I don't think that we've put the application I'm not 100% sure I don't think we put an application in yet for the fall because we are planning on we're planning on doing something real big so oh can you bring back the desserts that people bake my understanding of the housing set I've been at there there's a lot of people oh yeah you'll never be able to fit it on Amber Street would you I don't think so we did that at V Park uh in 2019 so this yeah mean you used to always be there I like it there yeah okay thank you okay any more discussion on this I think we've covered it pretty well I do want to just say one thing Suey was at our Jake's playground meeting and I walked out with her and down the street and she was saying um you know like with this if we get the grant but she had I thought a great idea I'm just putting it out there around walfield to have a track and she would like it to be not gravel but I guess Madam or whatever they would put down so that you could use it for biking or skating or running or all kinds of different things and I thought it was a great idea so I just like putting it out there think about it Food For Thought Walsh presents unique problems with its flooding and the fact that it's a very low wasy area so any instead a mud run yeah so okay so are we ready to move on to public comment would anybody in the room like to make any public comments no seeing none anybody on Zoom is there anybody on Zoom see any hands no yeah I think they probably left us yeah we [Music] do H Pula hi everyone um I the lady who runs the flea craft markets in the market um I've been doing them for some 17 years and I've been a participant in the show the events in the park for over 30 years and recently I've been told that U we're not going to be allowed to park in the park like we have been done like we've done for many many years and there's a lot to talk about wanting to up and make the events bigger and better and this and that and it's wonderful thing but uh right now I can tell you right people are not going to be happy about not being able to park in the park especially artists because they want if we get start getting some rain or the weather becomes not conducive to being set up they need to be able to move quickly to get their artwork in their vehicles and safe um there are lots we also do the two of the events are for the cap and for the Historical Society um yes the others are are run by me that's because I've only maintained things that have been there in the past and that's what the the vendors wanted and that's what customers have wanted um I keep getting I've gotten calls already when are you going to be in the park so that I can schedule my vacation um they come to the park and then they vacation the rest of the day and they go to the restaurants they go over to Fantasy Island um they they frequent all kinds of things in the in the town and the events do bring people into town and I I don't think anybody's gonna disagree with that but um the not being able to park on in the park is going to be a major issue and there's no parking in the town for if I take up street parking then going to take enough customer parking so it's it's going to become a major issue from getting events big events in that Park um that's what they've been used to for 30 some years and it's going to be tough to break and our alternative is to go to Walsh and Walsh is a tough between the helicopter and the the flooding issue over there that's another tough issue so you want to bring big big events into town it's it's going to be tough to do um it's a parking issue if we can't Park in Walsh field in Veterans Park like we've been doing for so many years um also I understand that when the concert to there they Park in the park well if they're going to still allow to park in the park for the concerts there's more cars parking there for the concert and there will be for my craft vendors so um it's it's it's a major issue so you want bigger events I've got no place to put these vehicles and yes some of them come with trailers and the big motor homes I don't encourage I don't like to have them but some of the crafters and some of the artist especially the high-end artists bring in trailers with their art in it bring with their with their work so I have to have place to put them and parking in town is a major issue every parking space I take up is a customer that's not going to come and if they can't park they're not coming because they don't want to walk you some of them will but not everybody wants to walk from I got several that go around and around and around many times just to find a parking space so it's an issue so I don't know what that's what we should do about it but that is a major issue um for your time okay I'm I'm not sure because we when we had the whole discussion with the sod and everything it was with the understanding that Vehicles could park on the grass well so we did meet about this and they are the vendors the idea was we thought we came up with a potential solution in that we could have some parking behind the police station we were working on that we just met um many many towns barnegate light Ocean City Collingswood haddenfield they do not you bring your booth in and you park your car there are sometimes more cars than there are vendors there's has nothing to do with cap so my suggestion was that we come up with a plan to try and mitigate damage and have all of the vendors and give them a solution a potential solution maybe not a perfect solution for the parking and you know I don't know you know I think it would look better these flea markets and craft shows every any event in there would look better without just cars and tractor you know trailers is parked there next to the booth whether it's art or not I mean they all have tents and you can pull in you set up and then you move whether they you know there's a we sat down once and there are solutions to come up with it's January and we just wanted to talk to Pam about it and and see as far as cap is concerned they are you know they're parking in in the park you know I mean to a to a certain distance I think my concern is is that when we you know agree to pay all the money and go through this I mean I think I asked two or three times will they be allowed to park on the grass well the fire trucks and the police vehicles and you know when we do the flea markets and everything talking about that this is this is the flea market but that no that was part of the discussion and the concerts will they be yes yeah the concerts yes but I I don't think I personally don't think there's any any um downside to saying you know you have to unload set up welcome and then you have to park somewhere else instead of keeping your giant trucks in the park all day long well I know they do I know I used to do them week years ago and we were doesn't affect anyone else but that but but they keep their inventory there and this is where they other towns do it that way Colleen they well I don't know we've always done it this way and I think it's worked pretty well it's right though I don't I I think it looks I don't think it look else to par I was going to say I thought the have no place to park yeah I thought the understanding was that it was okay to put cars on this well we are going to put some cars on it but I think we have can't have it every single week yeah that's all for the flea markets and the craft shows for other things yes but I mean I think that you can't we're have that's still a lot of traffic you have you pull in you set up you pull back in to break down and then you just have to park somewhere else that's all I mean it's not well we never it's news to me because I was honestly under the impression that that that field was available to be used as it always has been well it is being used as it always has been with the exception that they they just have to move their vehicles while they're selling their Wares that's not how it always has been that's the difference well I mean we had dead dirt you know dirt in there and now I mean I don't know fine I mean let them park there but you know I just think we could think outside the box a little bit to try and not I know but you just heard what she had to say I did hear Pam and I respect Pam but I do think that with all due respect she's Pam's in business and we um you know I don't know I just think we can solve the problem and it might not be what people are used to but that doesn't mean that it can't be the same it's just that they can't park their vehicles there right well I mean it's I personally feel that it's that the grass looks amazing it's a very nice place it's a very peaceful place and when we went and spent this money to make this to beautify this I was under the impression that it was going to be used for emergency vehicles only for for flooding events and there's only five to eight of them per year for a few hours and so that's not going to do as much impaction to to that to that grass however why would we allow one business to ruin some something that looks so beautiful that's that's not fair um I don't think there's any reason to park there at the craft shows and flea markets that I've been at you you double Park you put get your stuff out and then you and you go find find a parking spot you're getting there 6:00 AM 7 am there there's parking available and if there's not again you drop off your stuff and you move on parking isn't parking is always a problem here and I just want to if I was and clear I'm not looking for big events in the summertime we've got enough events on the shoulder season for our our police and First Responders to handle we're not looking for huge events in the middle of summer we we've got enough to handle we're looking for the shoulder season I just wanted to clarify that anybody else Mike Kasten hello hello Mike is mik Kon I am with Mees Event Services and I've been listening to uh what you guys have been talking about in regards to I'm the one that's representing the music and food truck festival and we actually had done we were new to doing things at the shore and last year we had actually done two of these in Keyport right on the waterfront and there were similar concerns from the Township in regards to business being taken away from the local store owners and as it turned out it didn't matter if it was a restaurant a little gift shop a card store whatever the case was every store up and down Front Street as well as First Avenue in addition to what was going on at the food truck festival you could not get a seat at a restaurant and you know it was O the people overflowed from and we're just walking around town you know we do a tremendous amount of advertising we bring in people you know to your Township you know to let them you know it's a community enrich thing let them know what you guys do down there in Beach Haven I've been going to Beach Haven since I'm I'm now 50 something and I've been going since I've been high school um so I know the area well and it's you know Veterans Park is a wonderful idea for this uh we're not far from the beach and you know we did you know 20 some of these last year and they're wonderful events you know if you wanted somebody to talk to specifically in Keyport I could give you a couple of people from the township to talk to I mean it was it went over that well you know it was the first time they had done it and they were they had certain trepidation about a number of different things and we're back again this year doing two more so you know I just wanted to get my two cents in um I think it would be great for the community I think it would be great for Beach Haven as well as your patrons and uh you know your local towns people and businesses thank you Mr K thank you anybody else no okay seeing no further we'll close the floor to public comment and we'll start with final remarks by Council U Miss Anderson you want to kick us off tonight I don't know what I'm going to kick you off with I have Palisade she lost everything 85% of her community is wiped out uh as we all know and I just want to remind you know just keep them in our hearts and and once again um remind ourselves be reminded of how grateful we are to our First Responders our fire company and our first aid Squad because I don't know God knows what we would do without you so thank you and um go Eagles yes Amen to that um thank you all very much um again uh thanks for attending you think these January meetings would be a lot faster but this is when the meat of it all happens little little good news came through today I don't know if you saw it and I don't know what it means exactly but uh Congressman van Drew emailed to say that President Trump is is planning on o um signing a Hal all offshore wind production order in the next couple weeks we don't know exactly what that will mean or what but it's a little hopeful and if you haven't read it yet the noise survey that Dr Stern and save LBI sent out is amazing and very scary so let's hope we're moving in a good direction there and on that note is there a motion to adjourn move thank you meeting adjourned thank you
