public participation okay it looks like we're give him the microphone or come up it's not on the agenda I'll mention it in my my report oh okay not okay anything else anybody he any correspondents Yes Dear Mr kuuba and the Bader Board of Education I write this letter with mixed emotions as I resigned from my position as a special education teacher at the belad school district I have spent the last 40 years of my life in in this community from attending kindergarten with Mrs Kane at Third Street School to my student teaching position with her and ending with the past 23 years in a special education classroom as a young girl my mother had instilled in me to be a blessing to someone with this encouragement I had always known the field of special education was for me and have authentically led my career with this philosophy for the last 23 years knowing it was my legacy to leave behind in addition I have been blessed with the opportunity to educate some of the most beautiful humans and will forever be grateful to have been part of their lives and their families to my colleagues as I move on to the next chapter of my career I want to express my deepest gratitude to each of you working alongside such talented passionate and supportive individuals has been an absolute privilege and I will always carry the memories of our friendship with great fondness each colleague I have had the pleasure to work with has been truly invaluable and I have learned so much from each of you your hard work dedication and spirit have made our team exceptional throughout my years here at Bader please know how deeply I appreciate each of you wish you continued success in everything you do acknowledge your worth and know you have been a blessing to me unfortunately due to professional and financial considerations I have felt the need to explore a more supportive special education program and system I am grateful for those who have touched my heart and though this may not be what I planned it is what I need in order to pursue my vision of what a supportive special education program in school culture means to me sincerely yours Nicole EAS is that it superintendent's report okay I just want to again thank Mason and Logan for coming even though they left they did Mason did an excellent job um and if you haven't seen the the wall and where is it down it's um it's it's now going to the music Wing So across from where the wall of fame um showcase is it's that wall that's right across right by going to the cafer um it's really really well done so if you get a chance come and check it out um just a few things to just mention um I mentioned you know going to see the uh the football team up in Verona uh with their playoff loss it was it was it was fun for me it was great it was a trip down mem Lane that's where I started my teaching career so um it was good to go back um our kids made us proud but not just a football team I mean all of our sports teams had I think really had really successful Seasons this year um you know we always hate to you know unfortunately we have to travel so far so girl soccer having to go all the way out to hasra kites to lose a close heartbreaking type of game it is tough and even field hockey having to go you know probably over an hour away for their game um you know cross country always has a successful season um I didn't check with Mr rollens I think we had one student who did pretty well this year made it into yeah so so good successful season also and um and just got over the weekend even after I semi update that the cheerleader is qualifi to go to Florida again this year so congratulations to them so that's it's great to hear and uh very quickly we're going to turn the C to winter sports um they're going to start up next week you know with some tryouts and and right back at it after a nice probably about a two and a half week Hiatus um I do want to mention that we have a new student representative to the board we're going to approve Andy tonight um I know she's excited to give an extremely long uh presentation Miss C went over with her today um I'm probably going to take away a bunch of what she's going to say because Mr Z also emailed me exactly what emailed you today I'll go through some of that but welcome Andy we'll formally sore you and we're glad to have you um Third Street so it's a great question I did I did put an update uh in the board but I'll I'll say it publicly um as I've said many times dealing with the Department of Education is extremely frustrating um we thought we had jumped through the final hoop and we're going to get uh the approval from uh the county office and then we got a response that there's two more forms that we need to fill out and um so we're just moving right along with this we're just waiting for that final approval um with the Department of that it could come as soon as 3 weeks it could come as long as 5 months we're not really 100% sure it's really the last step for us and then from there it'll it'll go up for sale so just kind of keep going I'll keep updating the board as it comes um it's an extremely probably uh aggravatingly long process that it doesn't seem to go doesn't seem to me be as long as it is but we're using we're working with the engineering group that we that we approved and you know they're helping us through the way so hope that sort of answers it but we're we're trying to get there um same thing with regionalization um you know Mrs wner sits on the steering committee so she did email me earlier this week at the end of last week and I think I put in my update as well we got another update from the regionalization Consulting Group they're actually waiting on I guess the the way for those of you that know this the state funding formula S2 formula was put in place seven years ago to even everything out so like white Township had lost and hope for sure lost money over the last few years we lost money two years ago um there's a concern with the way that the the law is written further that by Regional Regional regionalization regionalizing say that right we may lose State funding so they're looking into that to make sure that's part of the report um that sort of kind of came up over at the last minute Dr Green emailed uh the crew about a week and a half ago and they're just trying to get a straight answer from someone um you know in a Department of Finance at the state level so we're still hoping to get that report I was really hoping to have that report at sometime between now and Friday I'm pretty confident that's not going to happen um the Consulting Group asked the state for a two-month extension which they were granted so now we're probably looking at middle of January for some sort of a larger meeting but hopefully the steering committee gets the report somewhere in the next 10 10 to 14 days we just on that note we went to the meeting and the the guy that updates from the state level yeah he said the state is going to stop pushing regionalization he wants us to all do the shared services right I I was online for that meeting yeah I was online for that meeting um so I think that both of those conversations go into the same spot between trying to sell a school and regionalization it's like a whole lot of this right so it's like you know the CH it's like the rules change as you go everything's changing on the Fly the one thing that I heard um John Burns say right John and I've heard this before is the state's at least gonna if you're going to lose money the state's going to let you know sooner rather than you know the first week of March when the budgets will do the second week of March so that's the one positive thing and John did he said that also in that meeting whether that happens or not who knows um but I think what happened was they put this formula together and again he alluded to this if you can figure out the state funding formula then you deserve a a masters in rocket science it is one of the longest most complicated formulas that exist and I think it was done on purpose so now they're trying to simplify that but I think they don't know how to simplify it so um but they're at least trying to let you know what the what the funding looks like but if the purpose of regionalization is to save money specifically to the taxpayers and now you're saying you're lose state aid where's the money going to be made up so um I I know that there are C there's a senator in I think it was mentioned Vin goal who's he's out of Mammoth County he's pushing for regionalization um but again I think like what school boards rep said was shared service seems to be more of the wave of the future than the full regionalization so we'll see if the report comes back um and see we'll go from there but we're delay thought it was interesting because the state is the one who was pushing it to begin with I guess when sweing went out all just went down it went yeah it's it's it's different Pockets different Pockets push it in different you know parts of the state again and it's one of the things I always you know when you talk about school boards just always caution it's the their approach unfortunately is because they're they surface the whole state is one size fits all right and that doesn't always work for us sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't but right now when it comes to the regionalization what work down south may not work up north and you know I think it's hard to push regionalization when potentially and Bel is probably the one will probably pay more taxes so we're going to pay more taxes to to do what um so we'll see where it goes so we'll see what that what that comes out to um just to mention um I did also put in my update just want to mention and say publicly that we have had some issues with our parking lot behind um and not really the parking lot the pickup area behind um the Bel Elementary School you know it's it's a on Lane pickup drop off um but because some parents have been coming too early meaning you usually around like 1:30 they're blocking it and now we're forming a second lane and we've had a couple of students have been running in front of cars um and that's a big concern for us so I've spoke with uh officer Mayu who's our St uh our resource officer and also a chief Scott so the police have been helping us Patrol that a little bit better this week to make sure that that's not continuing to happen because obviously student safety is is a primary concern so that was what I put in there that's what's been happening so we're just kind of pleading with everybody to go back to the one lane in follow the road out go out the way you should and just I know people are sometimes in a hurry and you got to get to appointment here but student and especially behind that school where it's a lot of the the younger kids safety's primary you want to just say that again um going on a lot tonight but why not keep going right um just to mention really dismissals next week so Tuesday uh Monday Tuesday Wednesday for belor elementary is uh early dismissals because we have conferences Monday and Tuesday and then Wednesdays early dismissal for the entire district for the uh Thanksgiving holiday so I know you said you might have a question on that had a concern I guess because for child care purposes parents are just and that's all right um I sent something out for the parents at least for the elementary parents we sent something out with sign up for um conferences which I think was a week ago Friday with that schedule so I don't know what went out today you know what went out like today but the elementary parents should know anyway so yeah so the elementary school has a calendar that you can subscribe to that this year has been updated since day one and it had these half days on it all the way back from September yeah oh good yeah it's just concerned like there high school students that watch the little ones yeah yeah that does get a little that does we understand that gets a little but we're trying to figure out how to do the conference I mean we used to do conferences over four days at one point now we've least got it down to two so that's that's that's how we do that um and then the last thing I'll mention because there's a little snow in the forecast for Friday couple inches potentially yeah we haven't had any sort of precipitation in you know five months or whatever it is but we may get a little bit um Friday yeah there's say for this Friday yeah so if you're um if you we have sent out various messages from the district whether it's at the high school for certain events whether it's pre to preka for certain events if you haven't gotten anything please reach out to us because the last thing we want is on an inclement weather day that you're phone number or your email is not part of our system and then you try to come to school so but if you've gotten the messages you're in good shape if you haven't just check in with us just so we know because we don't want to send anybody out and hopefully that's last time I mentioned snow between now and June yeah right and then just finally um Mr Mr zrom also sent uh me an update today so I'm going to do half of it and I'm GNA let Andy do the other half because I think she got the same one um but Mr Z is very proud of his his program and what's been going on with the students specifically you know specifically not only the play which Miss Duckworth was going to talk a little bit about um but also the music program um and again he mentioned that we had the successful Veterans Day recognition and um right now we had uh we have two uh the High School Corp choir is going to be singing at beler Winterfest on Saturday I think it's December 7th at 3 o'clock we also have a couple of students auditioning from moris area honors choir and North Jersey Regional choir and sophomore Nick Jones will be uh the piano for the choir and one song at the holiday concert so it's our first student accompanist in year so holiday concert for the BHS High School unfortunately it's the same time as the next board meeting it is December the 11th at 7 pm so uh great job for them and then uh just to mentioned the beler elementary um concert will be on the 18th it's at 5:34 grades uh prek through 3 and then 4 to 8 is at 6:30 just try to get that out there we'll keep get getting that message out so everybody knows what time that is my lengthy report tonight okay so that brings us to agenda items for personnel it's 1 through 7 but on your addition there'll be additions for five and there's a 7A now so it'll be one through 7A can I have a motion to look at those items motion second any questions on any of those items no all right so that'll be on roll call please Mr Akerman yes Mr Blum yes Dr zth yes Mrs Duckworth yes with abstaining from six and seven Mr Scott yes Mrs Stefan yes Mrs cbone yes Mrs wner yes Mrs gleen yes Mr chiarelli yes Mrs Gardella yes and Mrs Ram yes okay so we're on to education items it's 8 through 16 and there are some changes with 16 on your sheet so can I have a motion motion for looking at Agenda items 8 through 16 motion second any questions on any of those items I'd like to thank the guy for number 12 ah yeah that was very generous yes yeah it was number 13 shell has that been budgeted for is this new please tell me it's been budgeted for unfortunately it's new and I will be starting a fairly thorough forecast next week okay thanks and then finance committee will be meeting any other questions on any of the agenda items no all in favor I I I any NOS any extensions nope okay so we are on to business items and it is 17 through 20 with no additions can I have a motion on business items 17 through 20 motion second any questions no all in favor any knows any extensions no okay so we are on to continuing business does anybody have any continuing business I have two things um just an update on the voting underneath playground at elementary school so I actually uh spoke with the parent yesterday morning who's been pushing that so um right now we did the one half of it um which when we tell tell people the cost for the pretty surpris was almost $75,000 um and we have a quote multiple quotes for the second half which is closer to 95,000 because you have to move equipment around so we are currently exploring some grant opportunities um that are our Engineering Group that we've been working with has presented to us so we're hoping to see what we can do with that then just update on that Grant shell do we have that is that still from jcpnl I have not received anything um yet that they've awarded anything aut cam is that active for this winter sports yes yes so be able to watch any sport in the gym without going to that is the plan that we'll be able to live stream the games um and anything else that's going on in the gym um we did just have it all connected and the gym should be hopefully ready here I'm being in a week or so y can we get like a notification to the parents on how to log into that huddle Camp I have no clue yeah yeah we could do that I I know I advocated for it and I love that we have it I have no idea how to use it okay yeah we we haven't we weren't able to live stream out on the fields because the Wi-Fi doesn't reach all the way out there and we needed the right hot spot and that didn't pull together but in the gym it's a different situation so Mr Lee can we maybe put something simple out okay sounds like a tech tip yep Tech tip there we Tech tip is Tech excellent just real quick one more thing uh Mr sbone had emailed me about my goals and if we needed to formally approve those goals and I said we don't necessarily need to formally approve them but as long as everybody's in agreement with what was what I presented she actually made a really good suggestion on one of them um so as long as um everybody's in agreement and I I can resend those on Friday if you want to look at them again um I'll do that and then I'll do an update at the next board meeting as to where we are with the goals perfect FL is yours I had just suggested that we just push out the timeline for the database creation because I thought that November 30th was really tight and that the database yeah it's just a really important piece because I think we can forecast out and create you know data on our testing year after year after year once we get that foundation in so I was comfortable guesting that he pushed that data out good idea yep I thought it was a great idea too I wish we had talked about thatman entire weekend creating the database but okay it's almost done well that's your preliminary then you got to add on just you alluded to fact that may have yes we're going to do it through either continue or new business so yep um I have just a couple things for continuing business myself since you mentioned snow days can we make sure that for the first announcement or two it's the times for everything is on there because we all know that anything that came out in September we all forgot because we're moms and dads that have no idea what time our high schooler versus our elementary school is supposed to be there so please please please whether it's on the all call do that on the website when that we post it just please times that would be wonderful um and Schoolboard um training so I know some of you went to the meeting I was not able to go because I was at work um so if anybody wants to put any input on that I think that would be great share with anybody of us that couldn't go um I'm sorry I missed it but we did discuss that as board goals one of our things we wanted to do was have more training here at our meetings so I have reached out to the school board representative already Kelly Kelly Kelly um so we are planning are coordinating as of right now the speculated first regular board meeting that Shelley and I kind of wa on a date dat with a date as far as when that'll be so hopefully that works out in our regular calendar if that falls true she is all set for our first regular January meeting that she will be here to do a governance I think is what her first plan was so we're already on task to get our first quarter with her okay so I want to update everybody on that at that meeting Monday night she did talk about she needed us to get on a schedule for the ethics as soon as possible I don't know if you want to include that in the governance or you want to swap I don't know what you want to do um I'll have to look back at her email maybe maybe that was her first one or maybe that's part of it I don't know she just said group might be part of governance it might be the we had we had uh we can never do we had John crew to our at last year she did but Kelly did ours in Harmony and I thought was really I thought she did a really good job yeah yeah like I actually about the ethics I caught on to that too yeah um along those lines though and I'm glad you brought that up um I know I was in ATL City uh Mr Blum um although I didn't see you I saw you I didn't talk to you Mr bam M sham we were all there went to different workshops um one of the ones that I went to you want me to talk about this now you want me to wait till this is the whole board committee thing we were going to talk about it so I'm good with that okay um I went to a couple different workshops but one that I went well two that I went to which were great um one was on what they call the fiscal cliff and it's coming to get you which was uh really interesting because it was um it was put together by uh panel of two superintendents a business administrator and a board president so was really interesting and a very interesting mix but one of the things they talked about was and this is we'll talk more about this as we get into the budgeting process was really just making sure that the public is aware of like when we do have you know gaps in in the in the budget as we're putting it together you know the word deficit kept getting used two years ago like we we just lost money which was completely inaccurate but talking about you know we the best we can do is a 2% tax increase teachers raises are three going to be over 3% if it's settled out you know administrators will be the same um transportation costs are well over 2% right Mr Scott probably more in the 10% area so all of those things add up and and so um and right now with the this funding formul being somewhat in flux you know the message was just make sure that you're you're really making sure people understand what the budgeting process is and where all the money is how it gets put in the pot rather than you know people just assuming that oh there's last year there was $12 million and it must be12 million again this year and it's only 11.1 where is that $900,000 well it's not like we you know went out and bought something you know for $900,000 it's just that that's the Gap within the budgeting process so I thought that was a really good one and then second one um which I loved which was hoping everybody would attend was called say uh support our superintendent um so I love that one it was was a lot of fun but um the the two superintendant that that led the group and um for those of you that were in L city is in one of the bigger halls there had to be 150 people in there and I think I was one of only three superintendent so it was 145 board members um but one of the things both districts do one was um Hamilton which which is about 7,000 students to put into perspective and the other one is uh West Windsor Plainsboro which is about 9,000 students to put into perspective one both districts have nine person boards two both only have three committees and rather than have like we have kind of maybe six or seven committees pick negotiations out because it is a separate committee all of the rest of the Committees fit within the three and um west wind Windsor Plains where I thought did it really interesting so each board member gets assigned to one committee the Committees meet at the same time in different rooms and the superintendent walks through and instead of having a half an hour on finance and then another half an hour on you know curriculum or 45 minutes it's all done in one shot usually like a 90 minute to a twoh hour meeting to get all that done very similar to the kind of the concept behind the committee of the whole where everything gets talked about that one night and if it's like oh you know crick's a good example oh we want we need $60,000 for this idea now we walk right over to finance and talk about is is that a possibility and I really like the way and I actually went on their websites and I really like the way that they had everything structured and I thought it was a great way to that way all the board members are actively engaged at the same time and then you do one you know so for us like we would have done it two weeks ago and then now you'd have the regular meeting rather than sporadically trying to fit in those meetings so I thought it was a great idea and then rather than you know if you know if someone's not leaves the board then it's an easy slide back in then trying to rearrange and everything so I mention it Sam Maran and Melissa is is the the president the vice president of maybe something once we reorganize in January we we put that together and see how it goes you know because I I always think of like the sports atck and I feel bad for Mrs wter because she's emailing me myself Mr car Mr Che trying to pick a date um and sometimes it just doesn't work out but now that would fit under one of the three categories so those conversations happen I thought that was that was a really good um approach um the other interesting thing was which I was really surprised that knowing the superintendent from Hamilton he doesn't do weekly update he does a monthly newsletter um but West windsboro does a weekly update so I like the weekly update but if anybody would prefer something a little bit more polished on the monthly I can do that too so I just thought those were a couple weekly I like the weekly changes yeah I thought those were really good ideas that I just wanted to to share with everybody you have a listing or what these committees are I'll send I'll send them I think it's a good idea yeah I'll send them out and you can see and they're between the two districts they're both pretty much named very similarly um but you can kind of you'll get the sense of you know and I it's actually funny that one of them said this which I don't know if I agree with and I wanted to ask Kelly Mitchell he actually said School boards advises against Personnel committees why so I didn't get a chance to to to pursue that but he said it um because the personel hires were supposed to be administrative prerogative so um but there's other things that are covered under Personnel so maybe it goes to a different committee I don't so now it falls into one of those rather than just have a standalone so so I thought it was interesting very it was I I you know the I went to three different workshops and then did a lot of discussion with vendors the third one I went to was on um uh Hib cases specific to middle schools that have gone to the um to either the commissioner or the O judges and what they were and we have we certainly have some HIV cases I'm never going to deny when you hear some of the stuff that's gone to the to the commissioner our problems are sometimes not quite as as much as as some of the bigger districts and what they face so um so it was great worth it was worth the time I don't know if Mr blumber Mr ratham want I just jump into and talk about what they went to but if not I think it was worth the time oh what I would like to say is bringing up that idea microphone you're bringing up that idea of that joint meeting that is one of the importance of us as board members going down to that convention there's a wonderful there's wonderful sessions and there's a lot that we can bring back here so I encourage everybody here if they can go to go Bob and I have been going for the last several years so that's two of us but wouldn't it be great if four or six of us could go down there a lot to look bur down there um so I this year was my first year going and I went on Monday into Tuesday and I quickly found out that my better choice would have been Tuesday to Wednesday so if you do decide to go next year and you're like on a tight schedule just because of work and other responsibilities I think Tuesday Wednesday is a better option um I went to one with um CSA AAL uh and that looked pretty aligned in everything that were doing um and then I also went to one that was really interesting kind of aligns with what Mr kuruba was um speaking about with the Committees and we over at Harmony just recently changed to a whole board committee U meeting and it was really nice um just to see that other boards are doing a similar structure because it helps to improve transparency as well as some of that communication and helps to just eliminate any like uh questions that people may have or or conflict so I think that was really reassuring to hear um after making that change to see how positively it's working for other school districts so kind of aligned with what Chris is saying like re-evaluating the committee structure for the New Year may be a nice direction to go okay any other continuing business we well I just just to kind of stay within that same theme I before we talked about this was going to recommend we add a new committee so I'm gonna 86 that idea and maybe just talk about you know where we can add in some my my big focus is is again with the transparency and and you even touched about on about with the budget but get a community um relationship committee but now now not a committee but whatever handle community relationship Affairs so that we can be more transparent with the public and have a set time and maybe before board meetings to address prior concerns you know things of that nature just have more consistency with public participation and how we handle that whether it be through you know discuss whatever channel that might be that we can you know be a little bit more forthcoming and actually have that communication with the community you know however that may look but just to start start really talking about that because I do think that's something not just a presentation but something a little bit more maybe interactive in some fashion um and then also you know I talked about this before and I just want to revisit it again but I would really love to see like us you know the board the school promote like teacher of the the month student of the month and just really help you know kind of boost morale and get some excitement for the kids to get recognition and I think for the teachers also to get some recognition you know if we I don't know that we do that did we do a teacher of the month yeah and just maybe kind of profile that teacher and why that teacher and what you know whatever like I don't know if we can give them like a little reward or something or lunch I don't know if we can do that but point being is let's recognize the staff also for you know a lot of good that they're doing so you could even post like on social media um some of those recognitions uh and to tag along to what you were saying I was actually at Mount Olive high school and I know really big focus of ours and we need some adjustments and thought with the handbook with attendance maybe I'm wrong but um was also they recognize students with the top attendant like the best attendance like every month or like the rolling attendance so and they had like a little recognition for it it was like a little competition so maybe that to help yeah positively reinforce exactly yeah and I and I on that yeah and on that meeting on Monday um a representative from North Hunter which I'm not sure why North but um she mentioned that her her ba had gotten a grant for wellness for some sort of Wellness for the teacher so I don't know what it looked like but she mentioned that they you know in order to recognize and this was after covid and really boost morale and things like that just to get the teachers feeling good again that they went and got this grant for some form of like wellness that they would give back to the teachers so and they do that monthly so I don't know we can even look into sometimes Healthcare Providers or you know other areas that we can maybe know kind of drum up some of those Wellness gifts kind of going back to yeah yeah exactly you know do a spotlight Mr carabus is addressing the attendance I think I've heard Awards Rewards he has he has been doing that is that for Elementary and high school he's just doing it uh High School yeah okay he's just doing High School Middle SCH and Middle School 6 6 to 12 so he's doing the 6 to 12 um the attendance action plan was that for the entire school like K through 12 or is that just for it's K through 12 so it's for the it's k for us K well prek 212 y y so we're in the process of and I know you had asked that question we're in the process of putting that together um we were looking we just finally found the link for this survey because we have to do a key component is parent survey um and I know and I know Dr Lamonte talked about that on Monday night um I need to start prepping Dr lonte and how she talks at these meetings because you know then I get 12 emails about you know um but one of the things I don't know if she mentioned it because I don't I don't think that she did the interesting thing about the the action plan is it doesn't go anywhere um it's it's only presented here at at the board level it doesn't go to the county office doesn't go to the state um we just have to be able to show it during qac so for us that's two years from now um and I um again we're there's only three districts in the county that don't have to do it it's easier to say it that way and when we asked you know is there a timeline she said not really so but it's something that you know in fact we talked a little bit about this morning Dr mckenny and I so hopefully we'll have it together probably you know sometime in December all ready to go so okay onto new business Andy I'm wait that you didn't let me finish so onto our new business I'm going to open with our student representative to do her report look good thank you okay so student government is working towards holiday toy and gift card donations to give to the various groups that need them we will also soon begin planning for the for next year um travel Club is about to kick off um its first predeparture meeting on Monday for the trip to Greece um also B buddies is beginning again for this year and will'll be doing a pancake night with a movie and craft on December 6th um National Honor Society has been very busy um on October 30th we inducted 30 new members of the Junior and senior class thank you for the board members who were there and the admin um yesterday was the first Miller Keystone blood drive has been very busy balancing classes preparing for the Winter concert and running the drama club which has a successful two night production of the play Cafe murder thank you thank you thank you so anybody who wants to donate to any of the many wonderful things our students are doing find a student send it into school drop it off at the office the canned food drives the toy drives I know they need a lot for our community and the fire company does a wonderful job the food fantry does a wonderful job so you're in the community you don't have a student pick one pick a neighbor pick a friend's kid send it in we can always use all that help our teachers and advisers do wonderful jobs on all those things and our students do a great job helping out carrying all this stuff all these places so that's awesome um I was going to say National H Society what a great job congratulations to all those students um the cafe murderer I was there wonderful they about 90 people come for dinner The Culinary students the advanced culinary students cook the meals with the help of Mrs Coke Mrs black other students served the meals cleaned the tables did everything it was wonderful the actors did a great job there was a lot of AD living going on it was two fun nights I was there it was pretty awesome and they did a good job raising some money for the drama club um congratulations to them all and thank you for those staff members Mr Z for stepping up um I know Mrs McHugh did the um costumes and stuff it all came together awesome very very very nice um the website we need to update our news because if you go to look at the news it still has graduation stuff and live streaming graduation and things like that so the new upcoming I was disappointed we didn't have like um homecoming week all the things they were doing usually you can look on the website and see what the students are doing each each day that wasn't there so things like that I think were missing to update and can you tell us about the gym floor notic that on my hand yes so we had a uh a little we'll call it an accident um where if you if you guys are looking from this side all the way across under the scoreboard there's a water fountain that sits there um that had been leaking behind the wall for quite a long period of time that we weren't aware of and then started to raise the floor so you really couldn't feel until you were almost in that corner there was a a roof leak roof leak I thought it was the water fountain okay so the floor was buckled um it was actually funny because Mr car is walking one day and he's like you you won't see it but when you feel it you'll feel it and you could feel it um so working Mr Kennedy working Miss Jama working through with our insurance company um we're able to get the floor replaced so I think they're pretty close to finishing it they got to do like another coat of shellac or whatever we call that these days and hopefully ready for tryouts on Monday okay so um it was probably one of the quickest turnarounds I've I've seen from problem found to problem solved to replacement to students being able to use it so unfortunately for the last couple of weeks of Gym classes haven't been able to use it um I know Mr Sue and I think Coach K when it's been nice out they've had the kids outside you know some days it's been cold and of course it's going to rain and so they'll be in but they've been using this room too and things like that so they may do but it was a it was a great catch and a great solution and we get a new floor out of it awesome how has been our I know he's not here right now so we can't ask him how has been our registration for our winter sports for athletes are we looking at teams everywhere or do we know yeah in fact we're looking at teams everywhere I think uh no boys freshman basketball but we yes obviously for the girls freshman basketball and every other team that we've always run um you know two levels of wrestling so JV and varsity um swimming I think they just combine it all to one at this point so and then uh cheerleading has a healthy number also awesome and if I'm missing a winter sport I apolog I said WR oh bowling bowling bowling is uh bowling is currently our most successful sport obviously uh it's been great to see that they they got good numbers and archery I just saw I'm practicing today they look look look like a strong team also yeah any other new business no all right so we are on to public participation any public participation for this evening no okay oh yes got wait Mike because people at home can't hear you and who are you how are not uh Greenwood Street um I wondered if there's any information about uh what's going on with a third street school with regard to like opportunity zone or re
