emergency Squad long time this see I know getting ready for winter or summer mean uh good afternoon I just wanted to kind of get you guys update for the Emergency squad for February um we responded to 247 calls we're projected about 300 calls a month so we're a little bit low which is a good thing people are behaving and and not doing things uh Hally so we like that um but obviously we sit around a little bit more uh 17 calls were handled by Mutual Aid cinnamon and uh um willing bro came in to provide assistance to us we did transport 127 patients last month and we did have 45 patient refusals that's about standard for us when we're at this number right now so it's a little bit lower completed all of our annual competencies which have to do with how we utilize the ambulance all the equipment in the ambulance your Hipp protection and bloodborne pathogens stuff like that that was all completed in February and we are excited for the Easter egg hunt so we should hopefully see you guys there all right we'll be there great let know if you have any questions appreciate it thanks for all your service all right no other emergency service folks is there anyone here from boards and I also have no report thank you Jamie next up is our mayor mayor Caso thank you council president excuse me so um the bad news is the boom cars are back uh the good news is believe it or not they came to New Jersey uh for many folks uh who heard them the other night uh we were all very disappointed that the season had started already however um fortunately uh two really good things happened one one Senator Singleton sponsored legislation uh that now has a law that makes makes what they do and and with a very easy burden of proof uh sh have that be illegal and penalized and there are also local ordinances that do the same and our Delan police found them they were in Delan and uh the group there was there were about five people that received a couple of summonses U that were issued for that under our ordinances and senator Singleton's legislation and hopefully they get the message all the way back to wherever those boom cars are created that you really don't want to come to New Jersey for that uh so we're very happy about that the other thing um I'm pleased to say that we signed the contracts for the steuart Avenue project phase two one phase one okay so preconstruction meeting was held on Monday and utility work will start shortly again uh weather permitting but it looks like the weather's going to cooperate and finally um I know that several of us were had the had the honor to be at Pastor Paul Jackson's uh kind of retirement he's stepping back he's the uh lead pastor at the Calvary Church at Hartford and Conroe and uh he had 38 years of service and he is a a there's a younger Pastor that is now taking the lead uh Pastor Paul was a uh not only a great spiritual leader but a a great uh to all of us and U uh the church was always I think it's safe to say always uh first to offer volunteers to help out in any capacity for Township events and sometimes they were the only uh organization that did that um and U it was it was an amazing turnout of folks uh for the two services and the lunch and and several of the council folks had an opportunity to be there along with myself and uh we just wish him the best of luck he's taken a couple years off and got a got a complimentary membership to Riverton from some folks so Riverton Country Club so I think he's going to be playing some golf uh and that's my report thank you great thank you mayor next up from our solicitor's office is Robert Wright I have nothing to report thank you next up members of council first up councilwoman Nikki AO um just once again wanted um say thank you to Sergeant star for his service right like flowers yeah and also um I have some information on you know um DP is actually hiring students and also um for it so I'm going to post that on my Facebook page that's it yeah next up is councilman Marlo Smith councilman yes just a couple quick items uh once again we do want to uh congratulate Sergeant Bruce towers and his family it's always great uh when we're able to honor a local veteran and um you know much like many of the veterans he continues to uh do great things in the community uh even after his service to the country so we just want to continue to uh honor those folks that uh do so much for us not just for the country but like I said even here locally uh secondly it's uh you know we have U gone into that uh spring forward mode so uh there is a longer uh uh daylight and so as you're driving around town just be uh careful that uh there will be more uh kids out playing uh later in the day uh so just be mindful as you're driving around and that's my end of my report thank you next up is councilman ly J councilman thank you council president I just want to Echo uh the congratulations to Sergeant Bruce Stowers for all the things that were mentioned he truly uh does commit a lot of time and energy to our community uh and to Echo uh Deb Hyman's points about the Green Team the memorial tree a dedication on the 26 um is uh going to be something special we invite people to be here for 10000 hours you can buy a customized Silver Leaf to be put on the tree in memory or in honor of a person of your choice for $350 you can purchase a tree and would get a gold customized leaf on the tree and be the tree will be identified with their name on it as well as they could be present and help plant that tree and select which park they might want to planted in so I would urge every resident to be involved if you can if you want to uh to be here for the unveiling of it on the 26th um one last thing I want to mention is we had a resolution 202 24-6 tonight which was another Grant accepting another Grant uh we have a lot of our departments a lot of our people administrator bolina is very active in uh directing these grants the grants help our community immensely they keep our finances down by uh utilizing these grants it's not easy to apply for a grant and gain a grant so I just want to congratulate all those uh departments and and Mr bolina for the work they doing getting those grants and that is my report thank you great thank you very much ly um to Echo your your comments about the grants this year we hired a grant writing company's on retainer um that we're going to hopefully use to get some grants that we haven't had the Manpower enough to get to so we look forward to that also want to congratulate the sergeant thank him for all his service to our community um Echo the comments I didn't get to attend Pastor Paul's ceremony but um as the mayor mentioned anytime there was anything in the community they were the first to volunteer homecoming I remember you'd walk down on your way to homecoming and the church would be out there giving water to to the kids and candy things so they've just made themselves a part of the community whether you practice their religion or not so that's something um you know that he was at the helm of so we wish him the best of luck in his retirement and also want to congratulate Joseph LoveIt of Delan who is another Eagle Scout joining the ranks over the weekend congratulations Joey that's all I have I'll now entertain a motion to open the floor to the public comment motion I'll
