okay this is the um city of government Board of Health meeting and it is March 25th Monday and we are going to call the meeting to order at 4:38 p.m. first item on the agenda is approved minutes from December 4th and February 26th we're going to put the December 4th minutes aside because um sh Parker should be fine and the minutes of February 26 um do we have a motion or yeah I'll make a motion to approve them I seemed like I had a couple of yeah I'll I'll second that but discussion I know I have a few comments one of the things I was and on all the other minutes that I transcribed it's done this way but for some reason it really struck me that it wasn't this way in um like under new business instead of putting your name it's just I you know it's kind of verbatim for what you said during the meeting but I think it should be clearer um that the minutes should reflect you know not I is what you're saying but it should reflect you know your name saying that and was a change in formatting from last one to this one yes I think it was part of the getting transcribed from YouTube was part of that okay because there was several um areas like down in the second to the last paragraph the same thing um it says what you know you said as I personal pronoun but it really should be like third person I think which identifies the person speaking toar I agree and um I think that the same thing helds through on the last paragraph the same thing it talks a lot about it should refer either to you saying or whatever you were saying or and um E Harvey saying you know referring to E Harvey where it's appropriate rather than right yeah yeah or if complaints are received yeah okay so we'll wait on um taking a vote or yeah thought there was something else in there to I'm not finding it there was I remember when I so I did have a on the PS uh the first couple lines there it says results have been sent over I wasn't sure what that means exactly right sent over to where and to who okay we can fix that I think there was another thing on that whole comment too um they came back with a few concerns like who so we just started so we just thank you I'm sorry delay um it was we we're looking at the minutes from February 26 which you want the present if you can't but we have another St December 4th but yeah it's not clear like um yeah we can r that yeah the whole it's just yeah you know I that's why I was went to look for the minutes this when I got here because I'm like am I just like missing something that I've missed have I missed this kind of transcription all along we we sort of still seems like struggling to find that middle ground of some of them were so thorough that it was almost like a Verbatim transcription of the entire you know which I don't think we need really um but yeah I would agre but that would make sense if it was transcribed off of YouTube rather than we do get a transcript and then Brandy tries to yeah Rec all the recording with the transcript and sometimes it gets difficult so I'll work with her on getting a set format and kind of figuring out how to do that and I think the the thing about you know writing in the third person versus yeah it feels a little strange third person kind has to go right and that's where just like like the things where like to who or you yeah so um I know we made a motion to accept and second it but we're not going to yeah we can just we can yeah actually if you can shoot those over to us when they when we do a retooling of it and then we'll have it ready for them okay yeah absolutely okay so then back to the minutes from December 4th um you know [Music] what room Commission okay so um it's you if you want to make a motion to do anything with the minutes for December 4th make a motion to approve for December 4th then I second it any changes discussion so all in favor I I so we can sign this one yes please and question on I hear but did Angela get her certification from she still has to take for her Mass fit certification she still has to take a like a field training in the process of roling that whole online training program process the website start this week sometimes so I'm trying to save all my certificates right now so yeah okay old business uh for old business we are still uh in process with the S Ral program formerly the Housing Initiative with the ago's office um so it's we've kind of sent them the information we have on the properties they were interested in and now it's doing the background research and seeing how they could move forward and whenever we identify a new house that we think they would find suitable we're going to refer that to them so um also business I went into last month about the environmental report and the repairs of the landfill so um Wednesday I'm going to be meeting with our environmental Consultants at the landfill so we can get a clear view of the SC that we need to do and then we'll start getting quotes and working on figuring out how to pay for those projects um and then since the last meaning we haven't had any additional complaints regarding E Harvey and coming trash and recycling or anything like that so that's good um we're still going to um hopefully go around when it gets a little bit warmer and and have something around and just look at trash and recycling B if we see something that's not right we'll we'll tag that inin and kind to go about it that way it makes sense when you explained about people putting the trash some people were putting the trash into the recycling bin because it's a bigger bin and Ne Harvey was taking it cuz I I thought that happened once and I thought you know how can they be putting the trash and I've studied the trucks when they went by they two bins you know that makes sense now they were doing yeah um that's pretty much all I have for old business or business new business um new business um we are still working on the wellness fair for April 17th 54 vendors have signed up so far uh Gardener high school health fair on April 24th um fundraiser with gdtv at the end of April and then uh comedy night in the auditorium is a fundraiser for the ad [Music] Foundation coming up it's actually um not really I mean it is kind of a fundraiser but not really we like to give back so it's a solar event it's going to be really good and we will be it'll be free for people in recovery so we'll you Target the centers where all the people that are living in car you know staying and um we'll have a small portion of tickets for sale but it's a good group of comedians it's going to be really really good yeah so um new developments at the landfill transfer station we did get a quote to it'sall some pre-cast concrete steps where the throw the trash into the the big open containers um so that was about $3,000 for pre-made steps and then we would need to install them and we probably need railings so we're still exploring our options with that um I wanted to look into the kind of the metal steps that have grip but let noow fult through something along those lines then it would be more expensive but be much safer longer term solution I think would they be be can they be permanent or are they I think they would be something that you could set up and then it would stay there unless you need get to move it and it can get moved I've been kind of looking online and companies that make pretty fabricated steps and then you just kind of give you your respects and they'll they'll make it for you so um and then we are going to be moving the attendance station at the transfer station just about 10 ft to one side so that it's out of the perennial spring pool that forms right there uh but we still want to get better facilities out there for that we definitely need that um we have a new staff member started today uh he came down he was working in the HR departments um turns out he has a pretty extensive food background and a degree in Psychology so seemed like a good time with Deb's departure to move from down here so he's doing half days half HR half Health Department this week and he'll be full-time next week so great jumped into the training um so then with him soon as he's up and running on food it'll be Angela and myself doing housing complaints and all the other random complaints that come up um is the housing inspector position that they were there we had someone and then they left they didn't stay very long made in about 3 weeks or so and then deciding was for him so it was open again um I was actually planning on leaving it open but with HR kind of transitioning and perfect uh seemed like a good time to get it so I'm excited that he's starting and he seems like he's going to be a good good food inspector um we did have uh over the weekend we did get one complain about potential food board Illness but we don't have a lot of details on it other than two different people ate at a restaurant at two different times they both had nois um but we don't know what they ate or when theye so hard it is so we did do a preliminary inspection today and just went p as far as making sure they're following their procedures for restricting or excluding employees um hand washing educate about R virus all that good stuff so we will keep working on that as much as we can um we did finally issue the food permit for Aldi they should be opening next week um we got plans for Jersey miks and we approve their plans um so they're going to start construction work on that here pretty soon um we are anticipating plans for a ria coffee to come downtown but I think they just signed their lease and we're just in contact with them as soon as they're ready to send over the plans um we're working with um the groups that are going to be using the kitchen at the Water Street School since they want it to be a fully licensed kitchen there's going to be a couple different groups sharing the space so um they are still kind of working on that see and we have a food truck festival coming up here pretty soon so we're working with um it's called wue trucks it's a very big commissary Kitchen in Boon that has quite a few trucks operating out of there and they're kind of coordinating everything and then we're just going to make sure everyone's licensed and that we have all the right trash and bathrooms and all that kind of stuff so we are still waiting on a schedule of the next clinics as far as vaccinations go yeah yeah MN and thing that I'm going to be taking the title 5 soil evaluator course starting in April so be Angel and I both be able to title FES I can do title fives now just based on my experience but it's much better to have have the actual evaluator certificate J and the new guidelines from the CDC have been accepted by dph I did forward copies to you um this afternoon and maybe we can get you something actually is already up on the Facebook page but if we can get something posted somewhere yeah um I don't know if it's worth putting it doing a little thing like you did with the nor with the ground to news that's yeah you know cuz it probably most people have been kind of doing these guidelines but that's the Official Guidelines from the state down to which is what CDC said yes which makes sense you know it really is more common sense than anything like and it's not just for Co but we've had a lot of flu a lot of I know that just been a lot of you know people really sick with flu and um plus the RSV and any kind of upper respiratory type diseases I mean it's a good thing to follow you know so it is I don't think many people know they're all kind of grouped together now so and then no more of the beas that's all contained and there was some is that one I actually didn't hear about that okay I all right I I at one of the schools there was um a Baris case and um I've been working with mphm with it and everything was followed you know because there's the people who are unvaccinated which is you know just making sure that so if PE children are unvaccinated I mean that's a parental Choice um but there's guidelines to have it documented within the school record with the child's physici and and their state forms that are you have to be completed for documentation and with the understanding that if there's an outbreak and they're exposed or in any way close then they have to follow quarantine so they're out of school you know for that a period of time that they might possibly get it so it doesn't keep spreading which in this with seeing issues with with measles we don't have any cases of measles here but it's the same thing that's popping up and with a lot of people coming in on vacinated not just you know newcomers but um a lot of Parental choicing in being you know not vaccinating their children you know just have to keep the School nurses keep up on that but so no we're good we're all good right now okay um anything else any other discussions except the next meeting 22nd or 29th whichever works do either clear for either one what we got going on anything big this month um not really no just uh soon as spring HS Full Steam get more so there might be but nothing realing so we can go to how about the 22nd because I have um the 30th and the first is I maybe out of town so okay April April 22nd all righty okay make a motion [Music] all right meeting is adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
