thank you mayor um want to publicly as I often do um acknowledge the efforts and the uh care that the ninth legislative district Senator mono uh assemblyman rump and assemblyman Meer give this um uh all the time but uh these past weeks in particular with their uh support um and really reverence towards our veteran Community it means a lot it wasn't only for for taxes but for things like hunting licenses and different funding Pathways so um you know that that means a lot to me personally and this is never personal it's always professional but uh we care about our veterans in this town and many towns uh all across these United States so thank you to the Ninth District for that and Mary Christmas Happy New Year's and happy holidays to everyone here and everyone who's not here one F year by mayor Juliano who deserves a lot of credit for taking on a lot of difficult issues and I have high respect for her Mr McDonald and the rest of the committee of course uh Senator Connor and uh Amy Veronica um it's been a it's an honor and I'm looking forward to next year thank you Deputy Mayor Mr McDonald thank you mayor uh real quick uh I don't know if anybody else saw it but I did uh assembly in the gucking he was not our district guy but happens to work right down the street down here here uh got up in the the assembly and did an outstanding job yes he did about school funding and you think about it that I don't know was Newark or somebody like that got $3 million North Bergen North Bergen North Bergen North Bergen lot of money up there $3 million for turf fields and we can't get money for our schools I'm sorry that's wrong it's called the Christmas tree and quite frankly our legislators shouldn't have any creds as far as I am concerned um the rest of it happy holidays to everybody Merry Christmas see you in the new year oh thank youd Donald okay I just want to say the reason that Mr Kennis isn't here he's not very much under the weather so he he felt it safer to stay home he's feeling a little bit better than he was but that's why he's not here in case anybody's wondering where the fourth one is um I just want to say Merry Christmas to everyone have a wonderful uh holiday with your family and we'll be ready to start working uh January 1st so look forward to that day okay I'm going to open up the floor to the public in case anyone who wants to comment come on up come on up Arina good morning good morning N9 o'clock is not my favorite time to come to meetings but I would like to ask a question roughly Amy do you know how many people get the agenda emailed to them hundreds right yeah okay so the other day when I saw the um the meeting agenda come over with no time I had asked you to please insert the time and resend it in this day of Technology it would have taken you probably 5 Seconds to do that and I understand from Miss Laray that you usually only put the time on a Caucus meeting well just because there was no caucus on this particular agenda doesn't mean you shouldn't had the time on this cuz do you know how many people I spoke to that didn't even notice the time was missing and look at the room nobody knew the meeting was at 9:00 unless they heard you mention it a couple of meetings ago the last meeting I mentioned right I was aware we've done this where we've only had a Township meeting several times in the past in this previous year yeah and or 2024 I should say and we've never put the time on the township and when we didn't have a caucus so it was just it really doesn't matter though you have such a thing as copy and paste and then you can still insert this is not a hard thing to do to put 9 A and M on a meeting agenda I think more people should be aware and if you're sending this agenda out to two 300 people if not more they should have seen the time on here not many people go to the library not many people go see the posting at the post office not many people are walking past your bulletin board okay I'm making a point here I would like the meeting times on all future agendas especially since you're sending them to several hundred people I don't think I made an unreasonable request when I asked you to resend that last week now I was at the school board meeting last Thursday Mr zalinski mentioned on January 28th the Lacy Township School District is going to hold a big huge meeting for the public at large in their Auditorium an information meeting on guess what the $92 million referendum and you know what today is my favorite saying Hell will freeze over before I would approve a $92 million referendum as a six-year board member I have knowledge about what went on at the school district since 2015 those roofs were leaking and I was walking around garbage cans in the hallway in 2015 which was only six years after the installation of the solar panels the public was severely lied to in 2009 because we were told the roofs and the panels would last for 20 years and now I find out from the new architect oh no those were only 15-year roofs well even if they were 15year roofs why were they leaking at six years all right why because maintenance monies were diverted to Personnel benefits and contracts and I specifically remember hearing in finance committee meetings people saying oh we'll just have to have a referendum for that oh we'll just have to have a r referendum for that and I said no take get out of the budget now and they refused okay so I'm telling the public at large what's happening at the school district does not have to happen they do not need that $92 million they just want to borrow because they just had a bond go off their books and that bond that very bond is the school expansion bond that paid for the lecture hall okay and the solar panels that they want to throw in the garbage are not paid for yet and they have no idea how they're going to pay the additional electricity that they will lose when those solar panels go in the garbage the taxpayers should not be suckered for fiscal mismanagement where's our superintendent oh Vanessa went to Red van Catholic as a principal how nice some people told me they still didn't know that well now you know Vanessa left the district and went to be a principal at Redbank Catholic High School that's where she is and I was promised she would stay in this District till 2025 the end of her contract and I was begged to approve her contract and that really bothers me so everybody January 28th come to the information session for the $92 million referendum at the school district Mr zinsky said he didn't have a time yet but he thinks it'll be 6 or 7 o' not the 5:00 dinner hour like they've been having all the other information sessions and last Thursday guess how many people were at that 5:00 information session [Music] thank you for your comments anyone else from the public that would like to speak motion to close the floor second all in favor I I have nothing else no nothing okay motion toj move it second all in favor I right right January 1st 12 noon car
