e Chris that's the second meeting in a row I've done this thank you for bringing it to my attention um Karen here no worries I was trying to pull up your number to text you and then I saw the chat box I went for that instead thank you and Anita sher's here okay so um first thing on the agenda is facilities director report so Chris you're on Zoom with us I'll let you go ahead okay um first thing just to keep everyone in the loop um we walked with the the biders for the new Landscaping contract this week and went through all the parks and what's going to be expected of the new biders um those bids are not expected in for another two weeks I think I don't have it in front of me um the next thing is we are working on getting ready for Memorial Day at Veterans Park um we had a tree company in there trimming up limbs two weeks ago um we've got new flags for the big polls I know Angela has the uh all the smaller Flags in her office ready to go and we're going to have the landscapers do one final cleanup there um can I add something to that while you're on this topic sure I watched the select board meeting last night um today is Wednesday right so last night it was actually conversation about whether or not they were even having a memorial Bay ceremony nobody seemed to have any details on it um I'd like to personally ask that even if the um even if there is no Services there that we still do the same thing that we've done um every year and put those flags up uh I agree I think we should do that regardless thank you um and if I may um it's kind of a little out of order but the town beach house um I have all the materials are ready to ship um well the plywood subfloor is all ready to ship next week and start installing um prices came in a little less than initially thought I had originally priced it through you know just Home Depot prices to get a quick number Macky has given us a significantly better number um so we're looking at about $2,500 now to do the floor in there that's not counting any trim that we may have to replace but um the only thing with that is I would like the commission to weigh in on color choices because I don't want to be the one responsible for picking a floor color sand color no like legit like I'm legitimately saying sand color yeah I mean I I can try and get a couple of samples and see what they have and send pictures to you guys and start that way so Chris on that flooring you're going to put the subf floor in next week uh yeah they're going to start next week I'm off next week so my guys will be doing it but okay and then when do you do you have to order this um the V the plank vinyl how how are we doing that yeah they have a bunch in stock it depends on if someone wants a color that they don't have we would have to order that okay um so do you have an idea of when that's going to be ready to be like when we can put together a crew to go in there to start the install um let me get back to you on that one I just got to check with my guys tomorrow and make sure they don't have anything else hot that needs to get taken care of okay if I'm leading the charge on that which I don't mind doing I can tell you that probably my next available weekend isn't isn't going to be until the 9th of June I'm not available Saturday the 8th but I could be it on the 9th so um cutting it down to the wire and do you know if you're putting you're going to order the The Click vinyl or you going to do the adhesive vinyl um it'll be the click final all right all right thank you yep when do you have Chris when do you hope to have the beach house work completed um soon as we start we want to run right through and get it done because we are going to be pushing right up against the opening at this point so right that's that's our goal is going to be to just start and keep rolling through okay an opening day what we decide I don't think we had necessarily decided on a day I don't think um It's usually the weekend after school gets out but school's out early this year out early I think it's like the 12 so just so everyone knows start a butt in here um with the temporary seasonal like employees I think that start date for them was the 17th okay perfect so it couldn't be before then I think I did list is probably like the week of the 24th to start opening the beach that week okay okay thanks Angela sure okay Chris what else were you going to help us with um the only thing I was just to say is the number five on the agenda was um the storage container at pow field and that is in and it's a nice clean looking container so happy with how all that looks right now and and did they put it where they were discussing yes yep okay and that was all I had Angela's got some updates for you okay do we have any questions for Chris no no okay Angela perfect um so we do have a busy summer coming up and it's definitely coming up fast um we did recently night we're doing like a resin art class for youth kids it did fill up for the ages K through 5th so we have 13 kids in there now um seems to be really popular so I'm really happy with that that turned out and we' used the vendor before for art classes so I had a feeling it was going to be great um I did advertise to do some Beach yoga I haven't had a ton of bites for that uh that is for adults not kids but 16 and older they can go with a parent um same instructor we've had do inside at the TCP gymnasium Trixie so she's been with us a few sessions now um I didn't make a flyer yet so I'm hoping if I get that flyer out that will help spread the word a little bit more I was planning on using the the flat side because it doesn't get much use right now and anyone who has ailments or anything like that it's going to be better for their joints to do it on the flat side um because the other Beach area is obviously kind of slanted so I was planning on using that it looks pretty good right now I think they might have done a good cleanup because there's a bunch of leaves that just need to be taken out there's definitely some old picnic tables that I think should be removed as well but I did mention that to Chris I don't know how good of shape there is Chris I don't know if they went over there yet the blue ones that are Angel there's two wooden blue ones and then there's two of like the nice kind of like not plastic but nicer material those ones I definitely want to keep there but there's two like older looking picnic tables that are wood okay because I do know that we did put two newer picnic tables over there probably five years ago if that those ones still look good yeah those ones still look great I definitely want to keep those there but just to open up the space a little bit um um and also it there's a lot of leaves and stuff like that trapped in there for some reason there's like an old trash can that needs to be tossed and then like a tarp and stuff like that so just little we missed an area when we did the big toss out is there was something I I was like I went over there and I raked some of the leaves back up um but I didn't have any way to like dispose of the leaves so I I did mean to um ask chis about that but I think we're going to try to put that onto the um he wanted me to go through the system just to have the facilities take care of that so I'll have to do that as well um as far as summer goes we don't have any like actual program scheduled till after the 4th of July so we do have the game time training one which is the basketball clinic we have three kids in there right now we need about six for that to run uh the snapology program we have coming the week after and that one is either half day or full grades 1 through five we have no bites on any you know either morning or afternoon we do have four kids that are in to doe full day so that when we usually need about six to seven to run that um best soccer is coming the week after which would be ages 5 through 12 we only have two kids in the like smaller age group because that one's five to six years old um and then we have about 13 in the older age group for that um we also have the ma Sports League coming which is the following two weeks after that I believe so it's the second the first or the second week in August that one's coming so first one's ages 8 through 12 we have 15 registrations for that so that one usually maxes out at 20 so we have a little more room in that and then the lower age group we have two registrations that one's kind of normal to not have a lot but usually we have to have about eight to run that um but other than that I don't have much else besides the swim lessons happening and the beach passes um I I have I've talked to Chris about this because he's going to be going on paternity leave when summer kind of starts getting hectic so I think he may be having Dawn kind of help me uh like lock up the gym stuff like that when I have programs running but I don't know if anyone's available from like the commission to maybe help me because I think I'm going to have my hands full and obviously I'm only there three days a week and most of these programs run Monday through Friday um especially the snapology one that one runs Monday through Friday and that's I think 900 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. so I I can't be there for all of that um so I just I do have like some weeks that I think I'll need some extra hands for if it if it's weeks I'm not on vacation I can I can do that I can help with that I can help yeah if you guys want I can send you the um schedule and it has like everything we have going on if you could highlight the dates that you need help then um we can try to figure out who can help on what days okay yeah that'd be great I know like Chris said like Don can probably help me with some of the stuff but I think you know having the commission would also be helpful for me um at least in terms of somebody being there because I would really love to be there for all the programs all the days but it's just not possible um and other than that we're doing okay on the on the beach passes right now um we we did not have the ability to open up the Saturday swim lessons which I think I touched on last meeting uh just because we don't have anyone water safety instructor certified to be there every single Saturday and that is a requirement for the redcross to run swim lessons um so we have two sessions of swim lessons that's going to be running right now I'm thinking about adding a third as well uh we did have a lot of people interested in the Saturday ones but unfortunately the beach director can't commit to being there every single Saturday so thats us yeah could we consider so part of the reason why um Saturdays was popular is for working parents I'm wondering if you consider that second session or the third SE if you do do a third session maybe doing either a two- week um night session instead of just doing during the day doing it you know later in at night um or um you know one the way that Saturdays were run but do them you know one day a week at night I think that's a great idea actually I don't know I just want to make sure we're staffed for that we we are doing pretty well now on the Staffing just so everyone knows I have an interview on Friday with um a girl who's coming home from colle she's already has her certifications in place everything like that um so once I talk to her on Friday I will you know have her talk to Julie and then I'll give you guys all that information as well um I think she should probably the last hire we need uh Jared Bowser actually is coming back um he just yeah he will just kind of be doing like a per DM I believe um but I just gave that information to Julie and so he hasn't been appointed yet um so he would be more of like a fill-in type of situation but we love to have him back on board so I think it's great okay and I think that's really all I have okay any other questions for Angel um I have a quick question I know you've mentioned a couple times um renting chairs for different programs I'm assuming programs at TC DP yep um what kind of chairs are you renting and are there not chairs I may have chairs for you if it's not a storage issue it's not really a storage issue for us so typically depending on the program like I ran the books with Bunny's program we had about almost 60 kids in that so I rented 60 chairs um folding chairs yeah they're just like brown folding chairs I go to All-Star rentals and they usually just invoice me for it um but Chris was talking about possibly seeing if it's in the budget for us to purchase chaires if we need to just because I have I can give you um a whole bunch like I could probably give you 60 folding chairs that have been were used at Andrews Hall like down the street um if you have somewhere to store them like we might need to I mean I guess we could walk them down the street but we might need to figure out just getting them from the United Parish building it's not the United Parish build anymore but 39 Main Street to TCP but okay we definitely have chairs that we can donate that's a that's a huge help because every time I have to rent them it's it's they will deliver them but then they deliver them leave them I set them all out um and then I have to stack them back for them to pick them up the next day and I'm usually not there the f day so it is just a little bit of a hassle to rent them but that's that would be great yeah I think we have um I'm pretty sure there's like the rolling racks too for for them so they would be easy for you to just move around somewhere like I'll I'll get like a solid number and whatever I just wanted to make sure I was talking about like I knew what I was talking about um yeah so yeah I'll I'll get I'll figure that out and get in touch yeah that would be if that's the case we will facilitate moving them any way you need yes so do you have like a number that you would if you were buying them how many would you buy it depends on how much we had left in the budget at the end of the season okay okay so I'll tell you what I'll tell you I'll find out how many are available and I'll let you know yeah so the next time I would need them we have um a science Heroes program coming which it's it's kind of like a stem program but it's more like a volunteer through the audience kind they'll do a bunch of experiments with the kids um so that one's on June 12th I want to say um and that one I would need um chairs for so that's the next program I really need chairs for is that okay I will get back to you guys um this week with many there are and whatever perfect that' be great okay cool anything else okay Chris and Angela what I'd like to do is to try to reach out to you both and try to find a time that I can meet with each of you individually just to get caught up on things that I need to know as chair and um you know things that you feel that would be important uh for me to stay on top of over the next month or so so um is it better for me to call you or reach out via text text or email uh if you just want to email me that's probably best because I'm only there three days a week but I do check my email more frequently okay and whatever is easier for you I I will make myself available although I did mention earlier I'm off next week so y okay very good thank you both I'll try to um get in touch with you um before the end of the week sounds good you guys need you guys need us for anything else are we all set all set okay thank you both appreciate it thank you good night have a good night good night okay so we've covered the beachs upgrades storage [Music] container and Beach hiring that's good okay so um number four repurposing t-ball field as the dog park I had a um uh meeting with Anna the other day just to review things that she had on her list of things for us to work on and uh she was explaining to me that you know the intent is to try to reuse the t-ball field as a dog park now that the t-ball field has moved over over to this location um so um one of the things that I've put on my to-do list is to um you know check with the town manager to see what we need to put in place for insurances you know for the dog purposes versus you know recreational purposes so I'll do that and um uh we'll put this back on the agenda for the next meeting I'm trying to send you an email right now and I'll include you on it as well Colleen um it's our um dog policy for the parks so you guys have that just while I'm was thinking of it hopefully you can access it the way I sent it um but that's if we do go in with a dog park there officially we need to put we need to update some of the verbiage there yeah okay because we currently say no dogs anywhere right yeah it's like on it's no we don't say no dogs everywhere um like no dogs on the it's like Fields like but they can be over at Northfield Park um so there's just there's a CLE there's it's a onepage document that was reviewed by um legal before we put it out there so um we just need to update that okay in previous discussions about this had there been any time frame that we set for ourselves trying to get this done no okay all right good just a quick comment if I may I ask the Board of Health who has jurisdiction over a do part it's the Animal control officer okay perfect that's one of the things I was going to be discussing with the chief of police as well so okay thank you all right um status of the skate park so on Monday um the town manager had a meeting uh with Town Council and the um insurance provider for the town um representation from the skate park organization and um an urer that they they work with that's my understanding anyways so um seems like we've reached an agreement in terms of what the insurance requirements should be for the skate park to have during the construction phase um so skate park representatives are going to be working to um clarify that any contractors coming on board will have the necessary insurances um there uh will be language in there in terms of how we deal with it if they do not have you know the full insurance um town Council will be uh revising the um license agreement uh to reflect any language that needs to be changed based on that and um it was suggested by the town's insurer that even though the town has no role in funding or overseeing the building of the park he did recommend that we put dog park insurance on the property for now so that at least we have that basic coverage in place it doesn't imply that we're the ones you know putting the dog park in place but he said it would make sense to have that so skate park or dog park oh excuse me skate park did I say dog park you did thank you okay y so skate park so um so just as there as a extra layer so that sounds like it's moving ahead um um Heather will be letting me know when the license agreement is ready to be signed um at this point they don't know what their start date will be we're still telling them that you know we intend to be starting our project officially anyways um July 1st um if we have any revised date we'll let them know what that is but you know that's seems like everything's going to move ahead on that one so they seem to think they would have everything in place by the end of the month so that'll be good okay I wanted to do some Grant updates just so I could kind of get a better handle on where these things stand then I know Karen you've been working on y so I'll start at the beginning so the first one that we applied for was our Park grant that we were awarded um $500,000 um that does have um the beginning of that Grant is July 1 which is where the July 1 date came from for that um the second Grant we applied for was the land and water conservation fund we were notified that we were selected for that one um that's one million doll Grant however it hasn't officially been awarded and nothing's been signed yet they did come back to us um in the last week or so requesting some more information including [Music] um um the engineers what's it um civil engineering no it's the um americore oh Army Corp Army Corp of Engineers thank you um with a question on whether or not we had gone to the Army Corps of engine for determination on whether or not we needed a a permit because we were going to be within a wetlands area um I advis them that we had not that that was something that we were going to be tasking our OPM with when they came on board um and she promptly replied that um until that's done they may not officially award us that Grant um we need to have those pieces in order in order to um have them finalize the Grant on their end for us um so that will be one thing that we need to have the OPM do um the next grant that we applied for was the trails Grant we have not heard on that um and off the top of my head I can't even remember what we put down for a money figure on that one um but we have not heard anything from them um and then the fourth one that I've been working on the past couple of weeks is an ADA Grant um that Grant um is very different from the first two that we did um in terms of information that they're requiring um we do need to pick a specific we can't just say Marshall Park as a whole we need to pick a project within Marshall Park so the one that makes sense is actually the playground um the [Music] playground I'm trying to do this off the top of my head so initially that playground came in um at a price tag of 106,000 and some change um and when it when they redid the estimate um in January of this year it came back in at let me pull it up because I do have that's here um it came back in at 243,000 and one of the big pieces on that um where the price difference came was the actual surface so I think they most likely when they originally put it out to bid we're probably doing a um mulch type material because it was priced at 29,400 when it came back the second time it came back at 128,000 and that's for poured that's for the poured um rubber the harder surface so I'm thinking that what it was and then there was a little bit of a difference in the equipment budget um initially they had us down for 75,00 for equipment the second one came back it actually broke it out into three different piece three different pieces of equipment and it totaled $11,700 so there's a difference there um I did talk to Anita today because I had been working on this trying to figure out what direction to take in what I should be targeting at that playground um the playground is also covered under the park Grant and we can't we can't double dip and like we can't ask for 100% of the playground for The Ada Grant because we already have part of it covered under the park Grant um so the part that's already covered under the park Grant is that initial um um 106 and change number so I'm thinking on this that we should ask for the difference between the initial estimate and the most recent estimate and specifically highlighting that the surface of the playground is will be the poured rubber with this new pricing um that we got so it's like 130,000 yeah something like that something roughly yeah I don't have the breakdown right here oh yes I do it is 136,00 and that's using the price difference that's basically taking the two numbers the first estimate and the second estimate doing the math and coming it coming up with it so there was Earth work prep had slightly increased so the question in my head is and this this has been the same thing you know we have to sell this to them in order to to be considered for this gr we have to make a good case for it the question is can I make a strong enough case to include everything including the you know 35,000 or whatever it is overage on the equipment or do I go in for just 128,000 um minus the initial 29,000 on for the surface only so it's do I go in with everything and say we we you know we had a second estimate done and this is what the second estimate came in therefore we're in order to create this universally inclusive playground this is the additional money that we need and this is what we're asking this grant to cover or do I make it a little bit smaller and go in and just ask for the surface of the playground so then sense right it totally no it totally makes sense but what the surface isn't what makes it universally accessible it would be the equipment so what I would want to know yeah both both yes but if you don't have if we can only get say 2third of the equipment because we're out of money is there something you're not going to have that may the piece of equipment that is appropriate for a certain individual so that's where I would I totally understand the sentiment of trying to figure out how much to ask for but I guess I would be curious is to what the equipment is that would be left out if we went with the original right you you know what I'm saying like I'd hate to go through this and then it's really not universally accessible because because we've had to leave out a piece the pieces that are the most usable for yes like or limit the pieces that are usable you know what I'm saying so the init the original um equipment budget was that 75,00 there is a piece of equipment in there it's some sort of tower structure for 84,00 which leaves two other pieces on the second estimate um one piece is 10,600 one piece is estimated at 17,000 flat um so I would think if we were if I went in with just the surface the things that we'd be looking to we wouldn't be able to put in would be the two pieces that were the 10,600 and the 177,000 as I'm sitting here talking about it I'm wondering if I should go into um go in on this on this grant um and ask for the two smaller pieces equipment I think it's a um Merry gound Maybe and some log structure um but that it that would be 27,700 plus the difference in the surface and I I think it's like $1,500 difference in the earthwork um going with that that would be very close to that difference minus $2,000 on the um that large piece that originally came in at75 5,000 I think it makes sense to include the those two pieces those two sets of equipment and the surface okay and you know if they for some reason have an issue with it I'm not familiar with applying for Grants through this program are they do they just say no or do they say we're willing to fund you this amount of money I believe they just say no okay so I went to the presentation on this which again these grants are so different from each other it's crazy because the first two grants super intensive I mean I am getting better at it so that's help make the process go faster um but what the first two grants were Pages upon Pages like we have folders on our one drive that I store all of the files in there's a ton of files I mean I would have to print and the packets that went out were huge this one is not like that and neither was the trails Grant it was different information being asked and when I went to the um initial meeting on this grant they basically said you're better off asking for multiple projects than you are for one gigantic project so if we had um say we we wanted to do um The Wallace Park say we wanted to replace a service at Wallace Park and we wanted to put in a playground at Marshall he basically said you want to submit those as two separate ones instead of trying to put them lump together as one single project because we're more at to fund smaller projects than the larger ones um but he also said last year and so this is this seems to be an ultra competitive program because last year it sounded like they gave a lot of planning grants a lot of smaller planning grants so this year my guess is that we're going to have a there's going to be a lot of competition on the actual construction great so you couldn't it since it's one project you couldn't divide that into two right you couldn't do one for the surface and one for the equipment I wonder like I wonder if you could call that to I mean I suppose even though it's the same project because the the equipment pieces is actually not a lot of money versus them just saying no then we run the so my my thought on this is that now that this second when this second estimate came in and the price tag was so much higher and it was sort of spread across the board and it wasn't just one item it was sort of spread across the board is whether or not we have the complete funding to execute the first I'll call it phase of it so if we don't we're going to need to make decisions on how we're going to execute that right and it's going to be my guess is that we may be looking at delaying the playground so if we apply for this Grant and we apply as two separate projects if they approve one and not the other now we're in a situation where in order to get that money we actually have to do the work or so we don't want to be peace mealing things on that so I don't think I would separate that out I think I would go in as I think I'd go in as a whole um could we ask for the surface and not the playground equipment sure because I think once the surface is in I mean it's a usable surface for anybody and those aren't I mean I suppose there's probably other ways to try to it's not a significant amount of money but I mean compared to you know for mpal things corre if you're talking about 30 what $27,000 I still for those two pieces of equipment I guess maybe that could be some other way we could come up without down the line to add those we could but I mean I mean in The Grandin scheme I feel like if they're not going to I don't know I don't know if there's a big enough difference between saying asking for $100,000 and asking for 100 36 to change I think that we have advantage over some of these other communities and that we you know we're we've already you know acquired a lot of the you know we've got the arpa funds we've got the you know the park Grant we've got you know the the others and um I think they're going to see that we have every intent with moving ahead with this and I think they probably would look at us as being better positioned than some of these other communities so I would say let's ask for the 1368 okay so what I'll do is um I I want to go back in and fine-tune some of the the details again this one isn't as detailed as the the last few like the input line is like literally a single line it's unlike the other ones where you could put in paragraphs um I want to make sure I can obviously put in that it will accept the amount of detail that I've put in but I will what I'll do is let me fine-tune it over the next um couple of days and by early next week who want you want it I'll send I need somebody to review it and then just review it any changes that I make I would like to get this submitted to the state um I believe it's due don't think it's June 1st I think it's June 15th I think it we had six weeks to do it so I think it's around the 15th of June um but I would like to get it submitted before then just because I I'm we're out of the country um the early part of June so like to get it completed not have to worry about it while I'm gone okay do we do you want to vote on that from us or I don't think I need to vote on it but if you want to vote on it I can make that motion it's your call let's be safe okay so I'm going to make a motion um for approval to submit the Ada grants in the amount of $136,800 second okay roll call vote I I I okay perfect by the way you don't have to roll call when there's nobody online we don't have anybody participating online good okay to proceed and and I I talked to you about this earlier and I did go back to somebody else I'm gonna try to get in touch with the town clerk's office some of the questions they're ask as asking are um the number of persons with disabilities that will or are expected to be impacted by this project I don't even know where to pull that number I can tell you that there's one kindergarten girl that's signed up and she's ready to go like she's ready to go yesterday onto an inclusive playground so I know there's at least one um I'm assuming there's going to be hundreds but I got to figure out how to get that um those spine tun disability commission I have that too I don't know how active they are but I do I had gone back to Heather to ask a whole bunch of questions on things um and she's actually the head of the disability part so um I'll include her on the email when I because I need demographics anyway from town Clark um so I will go back and include her and see if I can pull that information in the next couple of days okay perfect all right um and then one other grant that we have applied for and haven't heard yet was the dredging Grant and um you that was what I think it was 96,000 um and that was for doing you know taking care of the weeds and and um buildup of debris at both Marshall and at um eTown Beach so the person to be notified was Heather Town manager and I'm sure she would have told us if she had heard anything but I will when I speak to her I will double check on that okay um OPM update okay so according to the town manager um uh have reached a um an agreement with scansa at least to proceed uh with a contract with a not to exceed value of 260,000 for the first year and that should get us through with the phase one work that we want to do so um now that that decision's been made um Town Council said he is reviewing it um but he hopes that it will be completed they were I think they you know on Monday they were saying this week probably more likely early next week that it'll actually be ready to go but once um I know that that's signed I need to you know um well obviously even before I gets sign I want to touch base with Chris Ruth in terms of what are the important next steps um obviously one of the things that they need to review is the um you know the issue you had with the yes trying to get that you know what do we need in terms of permit for that and then the other one would be getting them to do a review of the um designer Q document that's pretty much all completed although it will need to be tweaked because now we're just doing phase one at this point so um that's going to be really important for them those be the first two things that they start to work on with us but Chris ruz will have other understanding as well um and it from what I gathered from Heather the um it looks like the expectation will be that Chris Ruth will be um uh substituting some of the site CL for the work type um hours rather than having scans could do that all so that was one of the compromises that I think that they reached in putting that together so I think it'll work and I'll let you notice you know since that contract's been put in place okay um Chris Sullivan normally does our um the NHS project update does anybody know where any of that stands I don't think it's gotten very far he said there was one yeah one student interested but yeah um and that was for a research project I actually I think I mentioned this last meeting um I think we should entertain trying to bring on a National Honor Society student even a even after listening to Angela and saying that you know she had to do the chairs and I just wonder if having somebody available like that that she could just send an email to and say this is when I need help so maybe it's not set days or hours but it's you know when we need help this is who I can contact um because even the um I have a whole document that I had a National Honor Society student go through of all of our motions and I copy I create the document but I'm not perfect so I have them go through our minutes and then I have them cross reference what I have if I've missed anything if I didn't write down the correct thing who made the Motions the vote that sort of thing and they do that work for us and I mean that's stuff that you know they've happily done um especially since that can be done at home at their own time some of it so that we may want to consider talking to Angela and having you know her inquire and how we could get somebody to you know maybe somebody in the fall and somebody in the spring because it's they like so many hours six hours but I mean I think that's a great idea because a lot of those programs they when school's not in session it's either a after school or evening or a break or something you know and most of those kids can drive andever too so they can get themselves there to do an hour of setting up chairs or whatever you know is necessary I it makes sense yep okay well um but I speak to Angela I'll ask her about that good okay let's see update on the Lake Shirley parcels and the agreement so I did reach out to uh the chair that the selectman and Michael Ray Jeff is saying that um it's in process they are um reviewing the document sounds like there's some back and forth that's going on in on right now um so it's my understanding that there'll probably be a change of chairmanship for the board of slman soon so um I will keep reaching out until I hear where that stands um I know there had been some you know concern by us you know that if it if the selectman weren't able to pull it together was it something that we would want to take on but um it sounds like at least the selectman at this point are making it move forward so you know keep watching that and I'll keep you up to date on where that stands and their change should happen soon right since the election is Saturday I'm assuming I whenever they read next meeting yeah yeah okay um so committee updates just me since is not here um Master planning steering actually just met um just before this meeting um they're in the process of um fine-tuning a survey that's going to be going out so as soon as that's available I'll ask Angela to spread it through her um contacts and and I'll get it posted on Facebook groups um there's going to be another public forum on May 30th down at smok stack roers um that's similar to the one that um the last two that we've had um smok stack has good coffee and food and they will be serving um or their their counter will be open during that meeting for anybody who wants to get something um that's all I have on that one okay good thanks chair updates I don't have anything yet other than what I've already mentioned so but obviously we'll keep all that on the agenda so then approval of minutes we have two sets of minutes January and March 20th yeah and I thought I would have the at least one more set um but she didn't get it over to me so okay I had just one note just it's my name um the spelling of my last name is it missing an S no it just the I and the E need to be reversed so it's C on both both of them yeah so that's the only correction I noted I knew that too it must have been before I um okay I'll go back and and change that okay thanks I no I didn't have anything okay all right do we want to vote to accept them or okay so I'll make a motion to accept the minutes of January 17th 2024 and March 20th 2024 pending or um with the changes to Anita's last name I'll second get that okay all in favor I I okay upcoming meeting dates um June 19th would normally be our next meeting but I checked with the town clerk because that's juneth yeah so she said we um don't normally meet on the holidays so can we see what we can look at for alternate dates for meeting what do you what do we typically do in this situation try the week before or other nights of the week either one I asked her if she knew of dates that were open she said everyone's kind of changing their y meeting dates right now so she didn't really have much to offer I told her I'd gather a few dates it looked like they were possible check back with her to see what works and then confirm with you all yeah so we you can do do it that way or we can just decide on a date and then I'll worry about finding a location if the space isn't available okay great thank you I'm not available the 12th I wouldn't have been available the 19th anyway okay um I think I am available at the 26th and then I'm not available again until the middle of July so okay what about the 20th Thursday June 20th I am around if that's the day we want to do let's choose a couple until I can check with Chris and Anna to see what their availability is too um are you available at all the week at the 10th colen [Music] um maybe the 10th but I'm not positive the rest the weekend by yeah the 10th works for me I can make the 10th back so at least we know we'd have a [Music] warm but it would be good really that's going to be you know with a lot on the agenda that night so the more we can get there the better let me just see if I can um right so with the 10th how about the 17th Monday the 17th you can make that l i okay so you're You're gone that whole week something yeah okay mostly on available from I might be available the 10th I'm not sure but I'm basically unavailable from June 6th until the 24th and then I leave again on the 28th so so Tuesday the 25th yeah I think I'm yeah I'm okay then I'm yeah sorry I'm trying to correct my last name so do you want to aim for the 25th at this point and I'll check with um Anna and Chris yeah that's fine okay all right let's plan for that and I'll confirm with everybody so you let me know as soon as you hear back from Anor and Chris and then I'll contact UM town hall and get the zoom link okay thanks and um I'll also have to let um Chris Rose and Angela let moment know that we're changing from the standard okay all right so other upcoming business um there's no correspondents that I'm aware of are there any general announcements okay are there any public comments have to see this take a couple minutes okay in passing us 56 whing Street um the discussion and study of the Marshal Park caves has kind of been on whole through the budget season um historical commission's been busy with some other stuff and I've been swamped with obviously what Finance committee's been doing um so I got back on that w again last week um so far talking with Chris Ruth unless you guys change phase one in some way that expands the construction area the cave is outside of any work area for phase one okay so there's no reason for disruption to expect disruption of that area at least through phase one and we know this how because of the you can see it on the map you can see it on it's located on the map and the only thing that would bring it close as if you roll the softball field into phase one okay and I think don't don't quote me on this but I think if you go forward with the playground you disrupt the softball field so there may be an issue there um but that's between you guys and Chris and and your people yeah our people my people know I had people all right well that's that's good news yeah um the historical commission has received their grant for the historical uh inventory of the entire town y Marshall Park in its entirety is on that list and will be handled by uh an outside professional as soon as they send out an RFP and hire them they expect the entire process to be done within a year one year okay okay and I'm hoping during that year that a few of us a will be able to start pulling some more information together we have a possibility of getting a 3D rendering of the entire underground complex um donated we hope um so those are the things that we've got floating right now and and as I say unless unless phase one or something changes to move in that over in that direction there should be no impact to it good okay thank you d y okay and any board comments I don't think I have any okay okay all right well that's it for the agenda then I will make a motion to adjourn at 7:55 p.m B second minut all in favor I okay I'm going to send these over to town court [Music] this about under an hour for your first meeting and not bad
