several different quotes from like other committees that have put up finished so for example at the graduation one so that one was 2747 with 50 sents it was 20 so it would install 20 single graduation banners and remove and then the delivery of the banners delivery yeah so yeah to install to remove delivery and then just like the creation guess the design that's for 20 right which is that's what we did the last time 20 and only went for being inflation and all that only went up like $150 from the original quote we got in 2021 to actually get the me so 2,540 is what was paid in 2021 so now it's about 2,700 so it's about 15 100 something I'll just say three times yeah I would say to play it safe in order to have enough right installation or I it's 20 yeah because if it would be 30 then it would of course it would go up yeah yeah no but did 20 last time that was exactly the same and here's all the details as well pretty good coverage with a 20 yeah on both sides plenty and right Express that was my favorite so then I guess we'll put a motion that you will send him the updated I guess they're going to need Pro of everything right the updated um quote with everything and that way he can send it to human directly and work on getting the fund so need a design well so we I have the the older ones perfect um if you guys are fine with those same ones well we were going to make those changes that we talked about last week I last 10 with some of the quotes and adding the logos yes so um I can make note of that I can get their and then based on that quote then we would I guess request the sponsorship yeah all H now that I have a figure hey we have this is what we're looking at money white we're trying to get the quot and we get you the sample what so to before placing the order for the banners we would need the sponsorship money to already be right which it'll take them a while like I did the last time because they have to go through their corporate headquarters you need a sponsorship you need some sponsorship application or whatever that is that they do um we didn't do it the last the we W yeah the sponsorship like agreement I guess you can say yeah yeah they have some kind of sponsorship form that yeah so I guess send that to Gary yes that's it I something yeah send it to Gary Gary will send it to them we'll discuss the the rate in the metime you'll work on the or getting the quote and then by then hopefully within the process we can come up with the actual final drops of the design we have these same ones I mean I know that you wanted to change this one I think yeah was one of them and then we just wanted to add I guess we're gonna add also the town the Task Force logo yes so it's basically the same thing maybe some of theodes would change and then to add the logo correct right yes approved that last time do we do that before the approval or so I would just need like all the details of okay this is the banner that we want we want it to look like this is and then I would get all the information toest the quote and then bring that back to well and they create the sponsorship package and all of that so they can give us can you have staff draft up the like a draft for us yes so I actually do have with the with our Task Force logo the logo yeah can you do like an updated draft for us and then what we can come up with like a different this is the one we're going to remove right the we already approved last meeting it says the banner design with the with our logo mention new phrases and remove the old phrases and present the next meeting so pretty much we approved the background yeah the logos and that do at least one with our with our mission statement so that's what they can do to at least make a draft the draft and then if you guys want we can agree on like to update this one just because we thought it was too like again goes back to the positive May something with like kindness like maybe be kind or I don't know something different another phrase and we can maybe agree on it now so that we can just yeah think we need to get it what we like to do before the quot is requested we make one different from all the because there were two items on the agenda related to mental health awareness those items were not discussed at all during the meeting so because if it would have like been like too many posts they could have just spent like one entire post so um staff actually posted I saw the video the mindfulness yes they posted it on Monday I believe all the parks and it was like about mindfulness and mental health matters and saw that CU mental health M yes it was okay I mean it's a start it's a start so that's um mindful Mi their post for awareness okay um if you have any other ideas that you guys would like a post in general well are we still allowed to do the monthly post that we had discussed because I know it started with Manny suggesting the talk Thursday then it got down to no we're going to make it into a post and then now it's kind of like is it even a thing now they we made the post and then they did their own thing so are we going to spend all the time talking about a post and then Community awareness Integrated Service they don't really use Community programs social Recreation training and brand and needs so maybe we can do obviously not special needs of Over Our whatever Community awareness Community program life whatever social recreational and then Grant and a if you guys think yeah I think I mean we got specific things we have the wathon doesn't that fall on community awareness or yeah so that's so what they do is for Community awareness that's usually all of their marketing things so fers fers and all that if it's Community programs that's more any like the like arts for autism like dance classes that they have so that's like an actual program that they brought to the town correct um and if they have like any other new programs so far us there would be social programs and Recreation like the so social Recreation yes so that would be more and maybe the workshop that we want to also well for the walk you didn't really have any expenses related to that but yeah we were going to that's for the September one yes exactly um yeah I would say so because if it was something like you all attending the NAMI Walk that would go under grandon AG let's say that you had to pay pay for something for that yeah so that's something more like something I'm not even I didn't forgot about the N I'm talking about the suicide one that we're planning that no but I mean because that would fall special needs they do have like their G play so then or their G that's something that that go there or for any other organization okay Mak so we are going to be adding these line items to our budget yes if we don't add it then we add it and leave it blank or every line item has to have an specific what I'm thinking is in the future let's say we want to add that one we have to wait and make a whole another so is it better to just add item line items in the future and leave them blank for now can um you don't have to well you would have to I guess like come up with some type of name so it has to everything like this all has to be approved like by the council and by our finance department so that's what I'm saying so in the future the numi walk we don't care about that now but maybe in the future we will since we're creating a budget thinking like in two years maybe we will need that light item but this year will be completely empty yes so you can request like with them they used to have the you see it here Community programs used to be life and job skills but they didn't like that name so they requested it to be Community programs not every request will be approved right but you can make the request that makes sense I think just from my experience dealing with veterans committee and it's budget um she's right the more line I put the better um and also the more specific to it it being tied to a certain event like I can tell you community programs life jobs and skills it's not tied to an event it is not going to get the traction from the council to be funded like they want to yeah our Memorial Day thing our 5K run our uh 911 program our Veterans Day stuff they can point to that and they can say I know how that money is being spent it's not this kind of general fund that kind of go wishy-washy you know it's throw on the wall super you know you know they're able to it's specific and I think the more specific it is to a program the better chance it's going to be funded because they can say I've been to it I know what it's doing and I feel good about you know what I mean so let's start so let's start coming down with the with the line items right so that we can start getting that so which ones we have our WKA on September that's our big one we have our May Farmers Market um we may do the m so when we said Community awareness you said that that is printing posters oh yeah like marketing so there why don't we make it marketing or to make it more specific to what we are doing SL Market or marketing you can just say marketing because when they went up a year ago to council and they explained everything well what is community that's what I'm saying material material I'll tell you that's problematic you have to explain they don't know what it is if you say may Farmers Market awareness uh whatever we want to call it awareness what EV event they know what it is they can go to it and in there we have our marketing you know what I mean oh you say to put the marketing inside each event not okay exactly I get it because that is when when budgets become self-explanatory they get easily approved okay if you make it difficult if you make the finance person have to work and guess you're not going to get approv right if you make it easy and they go this you're going to get approved okay you know so if we put Farmers Market event that would include the material everything you would have a small like a sub line right no it be all in that it will includ one ludes everything exactly okay so so far we have two two lines then the wakon and the fers market event and then Nami we have to have one for the banners too change those out I'm hopefully we'll keep those and then we just have to put them up and take them down you know we should you know we should be able to keep it but putting it up and taking it down cost money see there's always possibility when we need it that we can get money work so we will not use that money we can move it around you got to have the line item you got have the line example our banners just in case our veterans banners um in M Lakes Al Mall Fred and takes care of helps making it Etc but we have the line item budget for it and it always goes back to the town you know but if we have it in there as a chair you're allowed to move 700 bucks around your your budget if need be oh without without going to counsel so then first so let's go over the line items we have so far so we're going to do you have I have Farmers Market event banners and I was about to propose a workshop with police department and then the NAMI Walk don't forget that all I don't know if you just want to put workshops yes make it more because next year we might want to do a different kind of Workshop so which is like educational educational so that's what training is for special needs that's all their workshops okay training do Workshop workshop and then my other my only other thing is that I don't know if they have well they they don't because they don't break it down like that but if so they have Community awareness so if they have they're having an event a workshop and they're having water bottles that they're going to put their logo on that money would come out of the community awareness because those like stickers they can use like any other time yeah so that's why I mean they also don't have everything broken down into their events but that would come out of community awareness which again the marketing material so we should have even if they sponsor more more marketing for that specific event they still have let's say we want to do another tablecloth or something extra so I would say because if it's something that you could constantly be using special has a workshop and it's something that you would all like to participate in and you have the stickers that we got something oh my goodness don't have it on the them but we're going to donate water Bo and it's it's not like if it was like the stickers that we were saying for like the part of the sponsorship package like okay well you will provide the water bottles and we will put the stickers with your logo on them or something like that that would be more maybe for that specific event because they are sponsoring that event got it that's like the letterhead marketing Supply kind of stuff of the office you got your things for specific event but you have this in general to that's what I okay don't forget the L the one like special needs Advisory Board we need our line you already have your it's already there first one so I have marketing material guaton Farmers Market event banners workshop and Nami walks Perfect shirts shirts would that be in marketing material no I'll put it it's only because I I know they already have approved that for other committees and you know I mean and it's easy for the finance folks to say yeah okay and there nothing to lose it doesn't matter we're not going to give away we're not going away I'm talking about the E shirts for members we're not going to give away the eirt not marke and if this doesn't get approved then we take the money from the marketing so yeah I bet you that marketing materials budget is going to beow to zero because it's not you can't tell them what's going to be used to I know I know how to do we have to put now numbers you should yes unless you say we just want line items because we can handle everything with sponsorships which would be great but don't we just ask for a th bucks down the line just I mean no we still we did about that was the committee report committee report which there was no motion made by the council regarding the committee report which you're going back in July but I don't understand what's the difference that with this if the other one gets approved then what happen with this so this is just like for the budget in general just preparing for next fiscal year was he that we've never had a budget to set up on our account just you opened up our account now we didn't even have an account I thought what we were Comm that was overlooked was for them to give us that amount of money so it was to say this is this is our committee these are our events this we have been doing and technically yes they could have approved that money but there was no motion it was think like it was deferred now we to bring it up again now we're going to do this and the other one we can ask for whatever well so right now you're doing this is going to it yeah this be more Det so next time we presented July we're even more I was just thinking it should match what we already asked yeah that's what I'm saying because I remember in that paper we asked for the wathon I don't know it was 12,000 I don't remember so it chewed match what we already asked have the NAMI Walk on there we didn't have the banners on there we didn't have the workshop yet we didn't have the marketing material but we should helping the finance this is the bureaucracy part we're having the finance department create line numbers and then the budgetary approval part is with the council okay but you're right P I think we should put the only one that we asked for at that time I think was the suicide prevention that was I think 12,000 right because you had given us a budget what you maybe 12,500 if I'm not misten find yeah I'm find I think we had the farmers Market cuz we wanted banners yeah and we wanted stuff and then we said about th000 it was like 1,000 or500 or something like that and then that was it and then the NAMI Walk I'm not sure what our participation there was nothing there we didn't even know we were going to participate in that what what does that involve nothing there was a zero to just to walk but if you ever want to get a table it's $2,000 for sponsorship that ain't gonna exact this year's taable work crazy it was very hectic all right and I mean as a provider I never I never sponsor overwhelming yeah I go every year okay here I have it it was inary and maybe maybe what we could do is we could like pass out stuff you know with our logo M likes liar be there take pictures and honestly justst that's all every is about you know a lot of people yeah it was very hot I mean I think at 8 in the morning and I was melting already signicantly it was crazy it was it was really crazy last year they had 1,500 participants they had over 3,000 people register and it was family it was a lot it was good it was a great event people show up yeah but they had to start late because the entry into so was at the zoo so the entry in was super delayed because it was one way in it's a little entry and it off 154 what 152 you have to like everybody there's only two lanes and so everybody's on the left lane to turn yeah it was they had to start late they scratched some of the things that they were going to do it was just a lot great I'm so happy that there were so many people that went but where the tables were was so jam-packed I was waiting for Marshal area it's a little area and it was like um picnic tables is where they put everybody this year last year was more was better I it was more open space the providers were on the on the side I think it was a little but it was a great idea yeah I think so tooo got a lot of people I mean we stayed there till like 1 o' in the afternoon we did not I was like I can't I can't so we did wait into the full one I did halfway through because it was just so hot the you know we were just like I can't it was it was really bad okay for the won it was 12,000 and for the farmers market we ask for 2500 and for the workshop we ask for 500 which honestly I would invert those numbers because realistically for the farmers market I don't 500 I mean or the workshop is going to be so much more all right I think we have to increase at least the workshop if we want to make it nice you want to get water bottles food for the people you know something nice and then for the farmers market we really didn't those banners banners yeah that we will put in that we're going use constantly at all our events or anything put put it in the farmers one yeah put it in the don't put it in marketing material we can put it to a specific event that they can see it it always so why don't we include in the Farmers Market the ban standing Banner the table cloth and the water bottles give out water so that would be cuz those standing banners it's like $300 so I also like I had put it on for the next point on some of the stuff that I noticed that we needed for these events of observations for the farmers market that's Fe was that we need like somewhere to place the Flyers because they were flying everywhere so that could be in consideration in in those flyer holders like a flyer holder was you know we were using the pens and the blinds and the donuts hold on flyer so flyer holders I also know it's kind of like bleeding in but with the Flyers that we get we would have to make them double-sided because they're not in Spanish now we need to get to the they were only in English and that was an observation that was like yeah so the front should be English and the back should be Spanish so we would have to reprint the Flyers and you can actually have them printed of course once there's funding exactly on the printed get with our V and all yeah if you want um like the like page or if you want like aers Market I mean the thing is the initial one is going to be the most costly one because we're going to be and then we can reduce the budget yeah you know then we'll have the stand up Banner we don't need that again because i500 for uh and also that gives us a t a Target to get sponsorship okay so we have wakon 12,500 Farmers market500 banners 3,000 workshops 2500 and we need Nami walks so to register it's zero there's no fee to become a team unless again you ever want to sponsor a table and sit out there and provide resources it's $2,000 minimum just to get a table so put $2,000 so let's put CU we don't need it we the worst thing say be want to put under like GRS and an eight so then we'll do that so that's going to be a hard sale unless it's happening in my ulates makes sense but we'll put it in there we put it in there they can say no yeah well they move around like the first year they did it out by bis Kane second year yes was right and then the second year was where at the stadium the Marlin stadium which is the one that was more organized than than the zoo right now exactly they move was the people get that's what I figured you know I mean you had to have to hook you you're not going to say there but but we definitely think that it's either the pelitas or the donuts but the kids are the the I said I'm sorry next time of bringing in more like little sensory gifts for the children and the gives a lot of children and that brings the parents to come over and try to get them what I use is those little sensory bands and you just and they're super cheap on Amazon or whatever yeah no they're like the so they love that and they can put it onid the puppets why don't we have like a little game too like you know a little like and Sack thing that you throw in my son love you when the wheel and then tells you what to pick from the table like giveaways yes yes so we get that wheel get the and and then they could win like the little which we will give any anyways but essentially to have something fun to do ex they so yeah we should have some that's why the $1,500 budget is probably going to be us every time and free food sure and food yeah so when are we doing this again next May right I think we should do that for mental health awareness month we should be out here in our community and if something changes throughout and we can always vote on doing another event go B The Farmer Market is not there or something else comes in town anybody thought about sponsored for the farmers market event I mean because we can do that whenever we want the farmers market I talked to said whatever you need you'll do it so I mean we could do it again and then um if we can get a sponsorship so we can buy those games and fund those giveaways and put our logos on and stuff like that you I'm all down for that maybe like next year we'll plan it for more months because we're just starting off and like we're not completely prepared yet we got something yeah having it done twice a year twice a year later we can do it and then eventually as we get more organized and More in routine we can do it even more consistently well yeah you know we can have certain people quarter maybe once a quarter you weren't there it's hot hot we were melting okay so so those are just some observations that we can make note of that do we make that into like a motion of like the updating of the Flyers the flyer put us a motion okay second it obviously I guess and then um okay so now item C which is the workshop that we have off been here for Haven changed we were just talking that the last time we saw here was like over a year ago no I I I belong here you belong here he's like I found my home so the workshop with the with the police department so we spoke about it briefly at the last meeting kind of doing something with like responding with compassion kind of educating the community on what the trainings that the police department are taking because a lot of people don't don't know how much training you guys are doing to respond to mental health calls and and getting that and then with that notion I was like well what if we get the crisis support team to come here as well West thriving mind so that they can also provide that added resource to the community and that way there could be a dialogue so if there's a family member a mom who has a child with who has crisis as often they have a better understanding of what options they have I know that now if they call the police department and they and they say that it's a CIT case something like that then they'll send a specified police officer that is trained like educating the community that they can do this because I know that I didn't know that that was that that's an option right and so that's kind of where it came about we were brainstorming names and we like something like responding with compassion as the name of the workshop love that right sounds really good so kind of education right there like an education like a training for Community we wanted to do it towards the end of the year because now in the summer months everybody's out on vacation it'll always give us more time to prepare prepare and um and it's very hot but I was thinking May doing it in like inside in like in a panel kind of way I don't know so what ideas you um the um special needs we had a workshop in the beginning of the year okay and it was here at the council chambers they had a bunch of I mean the good thing about the coun chambers is that everything's kind of already prepared the layout has been there was food in the back on the side there was a when you walk in on the the first door there was a Podium up to the left all the seats were facing that way the TVs are in the back so if you have a power point or anything like that you can you can do it so basically the layout is done already so you guys don't even have to worry about any of that just you know whatever the food's going to be yeah how well how well tend work um I would say it my extremely well because there there must have been like 50 people there I think there was 40 something not including like some of like staff and all of that what time was the whole thing was full it was in the afternoon I think 6:30 would be a good time because people are out of work and they and then if you get the promotion to this is through the website I mean through the social media only yeah the town is well yes we can have a flyer created which is what is posted on social media it's on our town calendar and website and all of that you are all free to share it of course on social media and we do we can print out flyers and you can all you prefer to share them in person yeah like in person if not then of course like just share it through social media and all of that which our committee has done so so do you guys want to kind of brainstorm a possible date we know the time will be something at 6:30 so that we can start moving and getting that fly done and and I already spoke to um my Hy yeah and she was on board with connecting me with whoever we need and and any support as well on on that end she's our main person hops hopsy she's been our main um Pro Shing the event on the six the the fifth are you guys going I'm going I'm going so I think that it's important that we like use that resource right and we have as much as and she's said whatever you you guys need I explained to her that the town is trying to do this I did mention that I spoke to you she she's like of course he's my yeah you know so so I don't know what day you guys think would be a good day like after school start on would suggest right like maybe I know September we have the walk would this be something maybe in October that we want to put together you want to do a walk a walk in September mhm the reason we chose September is because it's suicide prev uh suicide awareness month is there a date date you guys set up a date I think so we do yes I believe so I I think it's a date of the G yes I think it is because we we talked about it being in the morning and the gas at night so I'll tell you something about that that's the 28th the um this is why need to be these meetings the uh youth activities task force is going to have the Bike Rodeo that morning at Veterans Park May 10 to do uh we're trying to get it here at next to Farmers Market in the in the paring L to do a joint thing with the farmers market our we before yeah the walk will be the 21st um and the reason why we push it towards the end is because we thought that also the holidays yes that brings a little bit more of Crisis situations inter so preparing the community for hey the holidays are coming in this is a way of like you know our Miami like our town is res there are options to respond with compassion like the education you know so so do we want to do something in October would that be realistic for all of us I don't know but September and then October this one or November but it's get we can't get too close to end of November then everybody goes on vacation Thanksgiving and then people are not participating you know because people get caught up with with stuff so maybe end of October I don't know and it's on a weekday um right week like I would say like a Wednesday at 6:30 the third October 30th no maybe the week before I know I don't know be October 10th is World mental health day wow perfect there we go is that what day is that a Wednesday it is it's our day I don't know they've done it on Thursdays they can do they always do week after the walk the but again so we we have everything planned that's why we starting from May to have it planned I mean for that Workshop they're going to be bringing in the presentation really we're just kind of finding the spot we're having the DAT time we're going to do the flyer and then they're going to do all the hard work because they're the ones are going to present to us what they're doing and then TR care um sorry West care is going to present what they're doing right that's it I'll send it to my alliance I'll get people to come from all the providers I'll do good on that I just you just your commo yeah and I think that's great world mental health day hello why not do something on that day as the mental health we can promote this on the walk up yes yes there you go we'll have the flyer ready and we'll promote it at the at the walk and I can have you guys go back to the open program and we can do it in August or September now that we're more organized can have more details we'll have a flyer hopefully by then that we can send to you guys as well people did join from this area did and a lot of people reached out directly I think I put them in contact with Gabby I saw one of the girls at the at the farmers market she I yeah so yeah so the event so the so are p.m and it's gonna be at the Town Council yes and we're gonna have the Miami day County Police Department yes thriving mines and West care which is the same thriving mines funds West care uh Crisis Support uh to present to the community yes so yeah we have the mental health Wellness Bureau now whole Bureau for that and then um The Crisis respon crisis response unit specifically from that Bureau are the people that hops were talking about got it it's all new um and they're having I mean their statistics because I I went to a kind of like a workshop like that last month and it was ridiculous because we used to have you come out and it's a Bak W it's a b w you have to b w the person but they're coming out and they're not baking they're getting them Services right they're calm down this and that that's what they just presented and they they're doing the same thing they're trying to go out there to do that to evade having to bakera somebody ination exactly and then they follow up and they follow up and obviously the the uh incarceration rate is almost none because it would have been it would have been an arrest or B rck mostly the B rack because right you realize it's a mental health issue or mental issue so let's get them the help they need for the bit rack but not even a b right now it's look we have something better you we don't have to go to that drama so it's it's evolving I think very much so I have um motion to approve the workshop for Thursday October 10th at 6 p.m at Town 6:30 p.m. at Town Council with the presence of Poli Miami day Police Department mental health bur
