##VIDEO ID:VUs2MJ6yLS8## e e e e e e e just it okay um let's call this need water [Music] Elsa anybody else wants to volunteer to be the secretary [Laughter] today we're all run yes okay okay so order Ro please okay oh she's Jus are we fing each other's name the Elman Charles James C Lea is our present okay any public comments n on any deferrals additions dels to the [Music] agenda review and approval of the minutes of November 13 2024 see anything any changes any changes a motion minutes you did yeah I second any comments okay all in favor against okay okay uh share person report I put it in the old business so as as we go you know we discussing um holiday book reading Charles with a quick synopsis of holiday book reading went very well want to thank all the people that came and volunteered one thing we've been able to do we already have a template so it's very easy to continue even if it's a new person we just follow what we've done before for all of our events I think that's one of our one thing that that really helps us is that we we already know what to do or we can just to grab and even like the event before for Hispanic heritage they got it embell it but they with the basic thank you for that I think we had about I'll bring a for next about 60 about 60 something we about 50 52 53 sign but we always grabb people there was some people outside that had and we brought them brought them in M CL was user Mrs PA yeah she wonderful some trick work but the kids know about anyway I want no she she was very nice very nice baby they on time we started on time we registered everybody SE inducation committee uh gave us some books and we have a little refreshment there with some water and some juice another thing for the kids and went pretty well we started 8 I would say a couple minutes 12 and we finished that's thank all the people that came and help it's a good event and the people really like the theater for some we' had it for don't know we used we had it to bit off but here they like it because it's real intimate it's real close and the kids was sitting on the floor they were sitting right in front of it's like a show right it was a real touchy feel that kind very thanks everybody and I would have a next oh the form tells yeah I I think what helps doing this form and following the instruction it's like you said it keeps whoever takes it over knows what to do so it's very easy on the rest of the members who participate want to thank Esther too Esther Supply good the the goodie bags for each uh each chop matter of fact we have some left and I think she left at the theater the theater is doing a a Christmas camp and they're gonna give them out during Christmas time but it was more than enough everybody right Esther always says that yeah okay next item um okay is you again the concert in the park concerning the park uh oh yeah I'm looking uh as you can see there it's a January 11 please uh go back and and contact those individuals that you didn't contact before or that you contact before telling us back on and telling us on January 11 as you know this is a reschedule from my original time about a couple months ago young lady is very talented she had the kind of music that during the night everybody will hear something that they like and she's multifaceted her group is multifaced so so I think it would be a very good concert we might not meet before I don't know if we have a meeting before then but again most of our things that we do already u in play I'll let Al if she wants to speak on the other part that we have about everything we have to do in order to get the U performer there but uh again we've been down this road before it's not that much new to what we'll be facing in order to um have a nice the weather hope the weather would be really good not too hot not too cold and uh we're hoping for a good crowd so please help us to uh help us to advertiseing as you know we have a brand new mayor and some some new council members and we want to show them from cultural Affair that we know what we're doing and I talked to him at least twice and it appears that we're going to have good support from the town and we hope that uh hope that continues and if we show and bring our friends in I think we have a good what time is that at uh it's at uh 7 o' 7 o' so we would be there like yeah 6 be at least an hour yeah for for the going back to to the holiday book reading they told us to be there like what is it 11 started at 11:30 to be there by 11: we need to be there at least enough because we have to sit at the tables and hold everybody that's coming fact the Val is too small for yeah I we're going to give any food to the to the band or no yeah so per the band um we'll have to she hasn't sent me the agreement just yet um I do have the invoice from her but with any band we we kind of have if we're booking them we have to follow whatever request they have okay and the food is usually always a part of it so whatever she sends me a request I have through yeah the invoice is already confirmed but the agreement which is what we didn't have last time I'm still ping and do we have a fire for that already I will share with you guys by end of week perect need to start and how can we advertise more you know this event can we do anything with the town that I know that the town has uh uh their their emails of people that have register in the town can something like that be bled to we have a monthly newsl that's what we do with the emails we send out a monthly newsletter of what's going on in the town um so the Jaz in the park will definitely be a part of that January newsletter um it'll come out like the first few days of the year so about a week before the event that will go out to everybody um but that happen with all events so J in the park is definitely included in that this is not an event right in other words everybody's invited to attend um we can do a event bre but for a concert I don't really think it makes sense what we'll do is put it on our website with our calendar of events okay um and obviously we'll promote it on social media with the band uh with the flyer the flyer goes on Facebook I believe they also post it on Twitter and on Instagram they'll do something else they'll find a video or something to do promo and to promote the band coming up okay but that's just standard of what we do if there's anything else I always committees if you guys want to put money towards ads that's something you guys would have to Motion in both I'd like to add that um the past few months um Willams Andrea specifically um requested if she could post our events in the website and I said yes please so um as soon as that poster is ready please send it to me so I can goord it to her so they can put it in merch Association yeah similar to Fel if you guys have any Partners or any you know any from your personal lives any businesses that would like to support I think getting the word out is really what's important here so any contacts you have that are you know happy to share with their contacts is kind of what's going to help us you know stud work because now that you mentioned that I thought of Fred sendra and the and the Miami L chamber of they have a way of blasting also to all their yeah they've helped us with events before and putting it in their newsletters and stuff and then who can send it to to them to I can send the flyer to the contacts but again if you guys want to follow up with that I would encourage you guys to connect with them directly and let them know are you the chamber also Miami Le yeah they're connected all right I see it cuz I know when I have my EV they did blast and they blast to all their memb like Partners yeah okay so we could do that and who's going to contact the Laker the Laker is on all of our Outlook events so they are aware of all of our events like we I have to put everything on Outlook for sth to know um and the Lakers is kind of it's part of it's part of my list so they're aware of all events they've been aware of the generator how come if you want to follow sorry if you want to follow up with them in terms to see if they're going to do a story that I can't tell you only they can confirm we'd like to contact maybe they could do an interview with Valerie or either at least put a picture in the paper we what uh we will we have a meeting uh I don't know the calendar in January before that the oh they good okay so we can get an update on the public and if you have person emails or Facebook if you could put it on your own Facebook to your friends and send it out to them as well lot of people the town say said on my Instagram I have it on the Instagram then I forward to all my people too I do that because to me it look like a good time people are back on vacation not to much go on in the month of January so to me it will be a good time to to have something that it doesn't come with any kind of holiday or anything AG I think um is there a way for us to get linked onto the outlet calendar so that stuff pops up for us too for members of the committee what I can what you guys guys can do but this you would have to do on your own is um you'd have to go to your meeting you'd have to go to our website calendar where all our events are you can add it to your personal okay what's the what's the website uh Miami Lakes fl.gov so on our calendar you can add there's a button that lets you add to calendar I'm I can't add committee members because then there's then I open yeah the communication in sunshine and I but can we have our own calendar for ourselves I did this on my own I know she's gonna get 7 because I did it we created a calendar on our last meeting and this is what I did I created it on paper yeah and been sharing it with people and everything there so if you want it digital what's already been approved and posted on the town on our calendar is there that and that goes the same for meetings by the way so if you guys want to add the meetings to your calendar like the button lets you do it electronic tell me again it's Miami Lakes dl. if you guys want I can share from here so you can see it yeah the same way as we but I wanted to show you this like if you guys are want to make sure what because I know sometimes we discuss things but they haven't been finalized per se like whatever so this by end of week this will be refreshed and it will show the the jazz in the park but for example right this event is this right when I click it I can add it to my calendar okay so that wouldn't let you add to the calendar directly okay and same thing goes for committee meetings or Council meetings right right right good good good good what's this Friday uh you activities has a winter oh okay I once we're registered onto your one once we add this calendar to our own personal does it automatically pop the stuff that comes up here to our own calendar or do we have to physically go in there and add it uh I don't I think it lets you because it's saying add and it lets you add it to your so I would think it takes the information every time something comes up not every time no no no this is if you want to add personally any other sorry this is nicely done po yes as soon we get approv last I created there still some stuff but it's just administrative stuff for this okay any other questions for Charles about the coun oh last thing we'll obviously have food trucks um I'm gonna invite back the two that will cancel that dat to see if they're available if they're not then we'll open it up to another two there's there's Department Market they have this gr years and sliders I said to these are very than okay so I got their name so you need a name I'll ask yeah if there's any food vendors interested we have a link online where they should be signing up so we can send them information okay any other questions on the the park okay next item is please take out your their calendar and proposed coordination list okay uh at the last meeting we try to fill out the proposed dates as you can see some of them are like pending because we don't know this one and then um basically you know the his spanic edge of month we um we wanted to I think we tabled because running out of time so but I think it's important that we get started on the hisan Heritage on the country so um I'd like to anybody wants to make a motion to which country we want to feature this coming year anybody can make a motion motion motion yeah make a motion I make a motion for Peru okay any any food is delicious I to go there okay do I hear a second yes okay he seconded any discussion I I really think it's a good idea because we have some perubian restaurants in the area and I think if we reach out to some local people the yeah and um we also have a lot of neighborhood uh neighbors and kids in schools that are ruian so you can send some of that stuff to the local activities directors they start and we want to start getting yes we want to start early because it was excited and all that so um and it's October 4th it's going to be October 4th um we have Roberto Alonso help for you guys for that event you want to do it there you want to do it on another location figure out well I just need to know because if I need to release the date I'm holding at Alonzo because if we going to get if we can get Entertain You know if we can get do you guys want to let's finalize this motion and there's any other you want okay the motion on table right now is for Peru second everyone in favor the is the place a vote no is everyone in favor of doing the country of Peru okay yeah so go [Music] byous okay good okay so the location can the location I think robberto Alonzo I think we should give it a try yeah we should go there in case we can get dances and then we don't have to go through all the expense of having to get a floor in oh the tangle was a special s yeah what right yeah and they need I don't think the kobian have Tangles well no I don't know we'll investigate you want to make that motion or one of Mak a motion I make a motion for to have the Spanish Heritage at um Roberto Alonso second who second that I'm sorry okay let's give it a try everyone in favor any names any [Music] names give it a people are gonna find us free food fre entertainment they're gonna find maybe they won't in the list here I have concert in the park 25 2025 2026 uh I know we move our concert from November to January do you want to cross this out and do our concert in January from now on yeah I think January may be a better time it is okay so I need to make a motion to remove this item from the concert and move it to Jan so um make a motion to remove the November uh concert to January like we're having does that fall into our us we're using the the budget right now you're using the 2025 budg right now we're in fiscal year 2025 I started October 1st it will end September 30th and then if you're talking about January 2026 that will be the following F week so so we cross it out so we deal with it when we get to 2026 then you I I would suggest not dealing with it until fiscal year 2026 I would just suggest as maybe 2025 is coming to an end the fiscal year just because you probably want to confirm the band in advance oh yeah no definitely but yes the money would be fiscal year 2026 for fiscal purposes it's January janary is the same year as you see in paren turn fiscal years October 1st 2024 to September 2025 30 okay uh so we have the calendar already uh set of course as we progress for the other events um okay what else uh art around town anybody I read it real quick please and see which one you want to be part of like to be a coordinator uh for black history month of February uh I have a like to see if we could get some additional funds uh if we have some funds we haven't used I think we we have U I think the fee is 3,000 and that is what U what the FL is charging so we could get 500 from somewhere else I think a 500 that will cover the food and we wouldn't have to go into uh the budget because then we' only give them 2500 so if we have something we haven't use or we have a some uh activity that's already passed that we have new then I'd like to uh like to see if we could uh take that money and have set it aside for food as for those of you new we do a little bit for Florida Memorial because they don't like to eat before they sing so we get some sandwiches for them we get some water for them we get some soda for them but we put it under the counter and then we have some food outside for those that come in uh so when they get ready to go we just give it to them on the bus they put on the bus they go back to a school open up the cafeteria and then they sit down and eat they don't like the they don't want the the director don't like for them to eat uh before they sink so if we could do that I think it may be enough we could get enough food for us and our guest and then have something to put to the side for them to take with second the motion okay I like to add that but is that a motion no we just discuss no I don't know what money well I motion to move the $1,000 from juneth to black history of P okay that's a motion so is there a second second second second by Char well second I'm trying to help second by I'm trying to help you yeah yeah yeah so the motion is to move $1,000 from Jun to uh Black History Month celebration that puts us at if we get a couple of sponsors we could probably do something nicer so that's a second by Charles and I'll for coair I think she want to goair with you want to go chare the with Charles yes okay that will be than okay Z okay um the question okay so let is everyone in favor I don't know if is we don't there discuss discussion um no we have we need a approval from the the council for the correct but I need you guys to pass it first if not it doesn't go okay okay second uh discussion the second was Charles Z make the motion okay all in favor I against okay so we do need to get approval because we're over 7 right right yeah so that will just be part of the January council meeting um if I have the minutes by them which I know your time me about the minutes um I just need the minutes the chair will sign the transfer uh fund which is what we just discussed and that's enough to add it to the council agenda packet for them to approve in January okay uh real quick just to close on this item here um I already contacted the Methodist Church and they're looking into that they is available I think it is J was very happy that we started this early on so we're trying to get um the February 22nd for the um black his street month concert with the the call and also August 16 for the symphony um Orchestra uh we're getting a different B it's the same musicians it's just that they they they split and now but we're getting my if we get the thing is they haven't submitted the invo yet no as soon as I have whether you receive it or I receive it we'll make sure to add it to your agenda you the church is already aware of those two days in February 22nd and the August 16th yeah that was the request uh put forward by Felicia for black history and for the S so they we need to follow up with them because you know and then the lady from the actually Renee laon who used to be the original contact person we did it with them is um very happy so she's working on something sent to us for approval like I said the earlier we start the more sponsor we can get if the be is a little bit hard because now we're getting um high class high class no it's funny it's funny and and I like to share this with you when I spoke to Renee she said that um the Maestro Lorenzo Luigi what he's Italian and he needs to he needs that day because he he needs to go to Italy because they're doing a movie are a maestro or something like that and then the producer said oh why don't we use you as the actor so he's going to be in that movie so he's he's becoming like now it's like I a good movie I like to watch it so it's interesting so we're gonna get myestro which read didn't have for the past three years I think anyway so it's a little bit of U history from the background we're upgrading we're we're upgrading yeah yeah we're going to have a full Orchestra this time so I'm very happy with that so so um any any other thing anybody else that wants to join any other committee or event I I will suggest that one of you take on Fourth of July right now um um on my end in terms of organizing that is a massive event so I cannot keep waiting till very last minut everybody I always everybody well whoever wants to take lead on it I would appreciate if you could bring a ban maybe January or February that we can maybe that you guys can pre okay let me if any of you whoever has the contact can preview it get them to send us a quote so we have options that would be great I'm really going to task you guys with a deadline of by February I need to have a band in order for us to go full promo and really um you know as fisha mentioned in terms of sponsorships it really helps to have a plan and I cannot wait longer than February as you guys know we do have a concert um I mean we do have a stage sponsor so I do expect the event to be nicer and bigger this year with that extra money um so would appreciate your support and bringing out the artist okay uh real quick as part of the rest of the I think it's the next one wait wait wait question he just wants to know who the stage sponsor is it's memorial memorial okay so um when I was doing my research for performers for the Main Street Live event that were getting started with the GRS the merchants the chamber the development a a a big thing that we're doing uh I contacted a bunch of bands and one of them was um Mantra um their their price is I mean I don't think the M Street people can afford them but if you have been to the to the cars for a cure there's they're one of the feature bands and they're awesome I've heard them before and they're a very good band uh we can we can look it up and maybe we can I mean we can approve it now and she gave me a quote I spoke to her about changing them instead of doing the Main Street Live to do the Fourth of July I think it's a good band they they they play all kinds of music so um I mean she may change the numbers but I mean I I spoke to car I think Carmen is their manager Carmen Quintana and what's the name of the band it's called man trap a man trap Man Trap M so um we going excuse me what was that quote well the quote that they gave us for Main Street was 1800 without the sound so um pass the performance 1800 a total of seven band members equipment included uh not included just for the performance s lighting not included so so is 1,800 is I'll I'll I'll talk to to Carmen tomorrow and tell her that of course you guys have to approve it uh or you know but I think the cost is is I mean it's too much for the Main Street Live but I think for us is it's good I think how much do we have for five for Jackson bun it well we had five for Nicole Henry I think Jackson bun did about 25003 2500 and that was not including sound so so I'm assuming it will be like maybe from 2500 to 3,000 this is for the 4th of July is not bad depends there but we can discuss this in more detail but I need to have her to give us the official one because this is this is for okay this is a band that you heard that you're recommending for the fourth of jly yes can find a video and have them you know they play no I mean I would I would task you guys with homework to be efficient with your time and your meeting yeah Felicia has an option there so you guys can look up their name and you know see if you guys like it and if you do or you don't if you want to bring any other options like please come prepared with that quote so it would be nice for you guys to have options to this is one option I mean I have tons of other options Man Trap m a n t Man Trap all together okay so the C was like three hours 1800 without views without without music they better play music I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm just reading this quick so B that's one op so you know at least we can start with you know getting our heads together yeah okay so you just spoke about Main Street Live from the agenda right yeah no I we're still on this oh oh so you're not still which is attachment page eight okay so basically we're covered with events um I think the key here is to have the date so we can move on to get the sponsorship packages together and so for I think dates is what you guys went through last yes meeting and then if you want to join as a coordinator we can have you it what I'm missing is two things the sponsorship and Grant subcommittee I didn't put you in the it is because I don't know if you had the time or to do it I know there there's workshops coming up for Grants um or grand uh person from the town send or something but we need to move on that really fast can you forward to can you forward the information to her so she can I think I shared it with all of you but let me jum so I can put you at the participate in the work I participated in one of them from the county yes I did one too it was a v okay I put you in there you put her in ask what what is a coordin here you're mentioning a subcommittee is that what you have her be the the chairperson well I mean at this point there's nothing I just want to be here there's nothing on my end there was instruction shared with the committee if this is something you guys wish to go through with you have to follow so I think this the best person but I'm just making you guys aware on my end I want to make sure you guys all is on your court I would need you guys report of whatever you find and the way that they they you explained to me the that day that we were talking is I do the research I get the information from the county the and then we forward to this the committee here the gr person and they take care of writing the down because it's it's we don't conflict it's part of their job yeah but from my I understand when we submit the application for the work for the for the grant someone has to be in that it's not via Zoom you have to be there in person in person yeah I can go to the so we I mean I work I can't go as you know if we have to all go but I think you will be on the gr because retired and hope and hopefully you won't be traveling so uh no okay I'll put you in there um so the next one is calendar of events and publicity coordinate that's the key to you know promote I mean I've been doing it sorry I'll take the opportunity before you move on that in terms of look because I want to make sure this email was shared with all of you so I want to make sure you guys all review the information if it's something that no no I'll refor it I want but I want to make sure you guys know this is what we're talking about so the grants uh manager reached out to me said hey I know the cultural affair has talked about applying for this grant program if you guys are interested in the next cycle then you do have to the she'll have to apply by February 13th next there is bullet points of what needs to be done on your end before staff can even go in and apply um and I only mentioned that because February 13th is about two months away and we're going into holidays so there are two meetings that would be required before the application Max funding you can request is 7,500 but you have to do a dollar per dooll match so if you're requesting $7,000 you guys need to put up $7,000 this is a very important component because if you're planning for events as you were doing just right now that's something to take into consideration if you're not willing to put up the money then they they're not going to match you at it and then the funding has to be for an event next summer so between July and September 2025 but you would have to have it planned and budgeted out by February and there are reporting requirements so you guys would have to keep track of everything you spend the money on and how many people attend the event ET ET um there were links provided so again if it's something you guys really want to go after kind so if the if the match that we have to put up is 7500 and they're giving us 7500 it's dollar per dollar so that was the 7,000 was an example okay so then does that mean that we have to spend all of it in a particular event yeah like you have there is no oh we'll see 3,000 here no you guys need to Dollar you need to tell them exactly where it's going you're going to have to have vendor Source like you know this is pretty legit that we have to share with them yeah I think this is great for the 4th of July if we can get it done so pretty much you're putting a proposal a very detailed proposal together very detailed and there's a lot of accountability to that too they [Music] gotx so and then reconcile all the expenses but I think what my concern When I See This is if you guys are planning your events already as you just were going through that calendar you need to be aware of okay we're saying I'm going to give you 5,000 for this grant then you need to have those 5,000 ready available and you have to make sure you're not spending it on another rent so it's just a matter of managing it that's all okay any questions I guess we can person is knowledgeable all this so okay we'll talk more about it next to move on on that okay um again the finishing up this list is the calendar of events uh publicity coordinator anybody wants [Music] to I'm to to Linda and so forth so what exactly is well the event coordinator is is making sure the publicity goes out and you know everything is you know put out the calendar you know to to share with the the different entities like the publicity and all that so it's part of the because I know we the T stuff to the to the Laker and they have the calendar and each mon they each issue they do show what event is coming up yeah so um if anybody wants to take on that one I appreciate it because my want to do it I will help you you know it's like just I can help Justin too I just don't want to commit in case I'm not here yeah okay so you need a okay good I think we are um this doesn't need to be approved you guys motions for whatever we all the dates to year and then of course the book talk is Elsa will figure out you know what day will be no in September right September yeah 2025 okay that's the only one the only date that is pending okay so any other questions on this okay now let's move on um next item is [Music] 7D 7D is the main street festival life we were invited um by the GRS and and it was our first time ever doing it and we had a blast Dustin Geraldine and I and then Jackie also um participated we had a great spot I when I spoke to to Andrea I said I want that same spot next year if we do it because we were right in front of the stage everything was we had plenty of space unless they open that restaurant uh we would not be in the way but it was the kids love it we had the spinning wheel we had gifts we had stuff I mean I put it out of my own pocket but but it was fine um so um when they enir next year if we we have the energy to do it it's a lot of fun and it's beautiful it was it was I mean it was whoever was able to attend I mean it was a very very nice event and um it starts like the beginning I mean you can see how beautiful it lit up the street um it's the beginning of the holiday season so it's was a very it was actually the 39 9 anniversary so do for a long time okay next item is the Main Street Live that's another item that I've been working with the grams and economic development and so forth and I've been Gathering ahead last we Ed with phone so we need to get together with the merchants because they give not nothing comes out of our budget so this is they're putting out the money so um we're picking actually they want to do it I guess I want to do a test because in the calendar we show it from from January to June which is when the weather is nice on Friday nights uh it's going to be done probably the third Friday of the month so uh and then I've been checking the the calendar for the schools and and other we need to check with with the other town events so right now they're considering doing it on the thir on the third Wednesday third Friday of the month from 7:30 to 9:30 I was timing it um this is this is a short list that I recommended and um actually I contacted um Jackson bond to be our first opening performers but they're not available they'll be available May May 16th this not I'm I'm I'm doing the whole you know from from January to June because if they get money we can have the whole you know but we need to we've been behind on this because they taken their time to to uh to meet and um but basically you can look at up there the B that we you know we're recommending to do and U now we we can have a DJ uh one thing that I I haven't when to meet with them because the economic development committee has not the economic development committee has is now meeting in December so what I'm proposing in instead of just having the bands is to have also you know also dancers I'm contacting different dance studios um and then oh actually the theater um Danny Nez from the theater um if you want to come uh I don't know we have to play or not I'm sure we have to they have an impr impr group doing a Christmas show at the Main Street on Sunday at 7:30 so we can because we we used to have them a long time ago um when we used to have the main stre live and it's an improv their comedians they you know they have to keep it clean I told him just make sure they keep it clean and um then we were thinking me thinking outside the box maybe we can have the boutiques on Main stre to have like a fashion show and then we can have a DJ playing music and you know I mean this is just throwing ideas to them to to keep you know make Main Street Life to bring people in that's a good idea a fashion show a fashion show I think it would be fun that's a big attraction a big attraction we can have um I know different fashion schools I think there's one in the Design District but if we have one or I think uh the church did one right I don't know I should be quality I I I did the the Children's Fashion Show for 16 years okay so we can you know think think having the boutiques themselves because that would bring probably I mean we're meting soon I don't know but I'm going to throw they don't know about this P yes so and then um also um I contacted couple of artists is to have a handson or maybe have an artist just doing paintings and so people see how art comes together uh painting someone doing sculpture Ceramics textile all kinds of Art but it hands on so people can see how how the artist works so those are ideas that I'm throwing out to them and U and that's basically is you know where's that in Main Street where would that take place you said I'm thinking of doing it you know where the simit is 100 mon that used to be our stage right I I try to I haven't talked to the manager yet I don't think they will give but that's what for the um car for a cure that's what men TR TR sets their stage so where they have the seats right there on the yeah well we can get seats uh I'm trying to get in touch with actually Andrea told me that they use this stage guy that they use for the the ls so she gave me the name so I need to get just a low platform for the the people that they spor right when you say we is that us no there's no I mean I'm poting my time on this but who's doing this is the merchants the is their money the Miami Lake chamber of commerce all a different group that got together to play they as as us to collaborate with them they love the idea of having the the Main Street li like we used to have it long time ago it was a test if you I don't know a copy of it so you know you weren here the last time we discusted it so I presented this to them in the meeting s her so she can the history of is about and that's basically you know I'm excited I think it's going to bring Main Street yeah yeah and they all want I mean I I presented it in one of our meetings for the chair meeting and Matthew from the economic development idea as a kid maybe they could do maybe they could do some special the merchants could do some specials on that day you know yeah two for one 101 10% off 5% off5 I tell you how long ago we did but it was U we had Judy outwood who was a musician expert who uh he was was the one going and picking the bands and all that for events so um you know do the CH I don't know um cuz I actually sang at Main Street when I was a kid through radio Disney and iore they don't anymore Andrea told me that one time they had the contract ready and they they said to her I'm sorry we cannot do it anymore wow so they didn't have interesting yeah that's why I thought of it right now like still do that no for but this is this is what I'm proposing doesn't mean Disney okay just that's basically it no also the new business uh I think any questions on this Main Street Live I think uh I'm excited I think it's F yeah y are they getting paid to perform the people that are getting paid there's so many I mean we're try I mean this the guy from the theater um Danny n said that the may do it for free they should because what they do is they promote that and then they go to the theater and see the whole thing so uh and then we can get the schools to we make like small donation and the fashion show you know maybe the boutiques will pay for yeah so it it you know as far as money nothing comes out of the contractors it's there what we're doing is the logistics and helping them out to put it together um I have one more idea for that too there's I know that a lot of times when you bring kids involved you get a lot of people to come out right so maybe we did like a star of Tomorrow kind of competition for Miami Lake like the star of Miami Lake oh yes perfect I put it in there a children's talent show like a children's talent show that will bring obviously one kid brings you know 10 family members Oh They'll Come Oh this this is great of the children dress shops yes to do a a fashion show well we used to have pikab we don't anymore we can get I think we got some stores there to do some do some fashion one theater I think any now I haven't seen merant because I know sh does something every weekend Friday night so this is be on a Friday night H actually Carlos from Shas wants to meet with us actually with her I think Vanessa she's her his um publicity person and because she has ideas too so I have to find out what she wants to do so then we combine them and see so I need to meet with with Vanessa and and Carlos from shal because it's also part of the the thing is that they the same issue because Carlos is part of the economic development committee and Andrea is also we they cannot meet because in the sunshine but I can meet with Carlos and Vanessa to find out what you know they they have in mind so they do have ideas too so we'll the next meeting I'll up you again on going on can we ask some of the the people that have already entertainment in their restaurants now to maybe come and do it for like less money so they can promote and then at the end they can say okay well Mariachi is going to be at like canun Grill come see us there come whatever D because I mean they're always there so we can maybe do like a mariachi night and then I know that um the Cuban place right there by me also has a really good little band that plays and they have music on the weekends really it didn't give me a chance to go she's talking about the one over at where the Latin American Yeah by Latin americ that one they have they have I'm going to let Carlos handle the Latin he has a lot of Latin connections so I'm I'm you know between the two of us I think yeah we're GNA have I mean this is I mean it's we may have more than oh yeah one Friday a month you will you will because it gets expensive according to Andrea we may spend like maybe 5,000 per performance per month but if we have the demand and we have people that want to participate it may be more like every Friday like caros has it yeah yeah so we'll see I gu has alcohol huh CH has alcohol oh I know I I I was a sh that they have this video of all the They there's there's one one person CL on this one person that um that reached out to me and he has bands uh it's called flamco Jazz then they have Mediterranean musician and then he has he's a DJ but he has like a live show I said if we get him I it will put Main Street on the that because I mean I have a video here I can share it with you is his wife and he he plays the drums or something but the Vans are very good the Vans have been contacting us but of course it's the their budget is limited too so they can for a while so the idea is to get SP sponsors and to get everybody to do it and Diego Diego from the farmers market we can have a farmers market like for the festival light they have the farmers market all the way till 9 o00 at night so we can have the farm market you know helping each other out that's yeah okay new business okay new business art around town um I um Marcy she's an artist that she's done um I she did a poster for many years ago she's interested in um redoing the the cow for the library and she'll do it for free and the thing is that um the director of the library um they have a they want to incorporate the the library logo so I said well then we need to get together with the you know the three of them the the that because I have to move the the sculpture existing one there to her studio so I I weot to them they haven't responded back so it's a matter of you know to get that done of course by the time they they're doing a big addition at the library here and um but uh I need to know the status when can they move it so they don't get damaged because contracts with the story everything especially the little cow there is very and then the Garden Club takes care of the garden so they're saying be careful with the garden don't worry we'll f it out somehow but that's the status so we we we have to like see what the director of the library wants what she's going to provide us and then when the artwork is done we'll share it and then of course we have a criteria of you know that the art cannot be off I think we have it in the I want to mention there is no current criteria though because we've talked about it as a committee um I I shared with you guys the steps that you guys need to take to kind of re to that's the old contract right but I'm saying as of right now there is nothing in place so like somebody were to come out and reach out to staff like hey what is the process like I don't have anything in place because I've asked you guys to to you know come up with these guidelines and I don't think anybody has taken the initiative too so I need to know if you guys you know if this is something you guys want to do again or not I know we went over it um I gave you guys instructions that you know we needed to know from beginning to end and I'm happy to resend that email to you guys but I would encourage you to take the time to go through it because if not as of right now we don't have anything in case anybody asks I think you guys said that there was some businesses that were interested in doing it there's nothing I can give them on behalf of what do we need I'll resend it to you guys because there was a couple of steps that we and we've discussed this like two times so I want to know if you guys are interested in doing it or not um and I'll I'll look for the email and I'll return it there was a couple of steps so the key here is to get the the revised guidelines there's no guidelines in place come you guys can look at the old ones for the sake of you know right seeing what are the guidelines for huh what are the guidelines Pro years ago we started that program that was one of our first you know art programs with the cows okay because our first chair said um we need to you know even if the cow disappear from Mi Lakes this is the legacy of what Mi Lakes used to be which was a very farm so we as to see all the cows that we have we don't have too many but but they had artwork and I think one of this D was red done is beautiful and they want to do the one in the library which is like getting so basically the guidelines are on the design of the cow the the artwork so here are the steps that we're shared okay the committee needs to motion second discuss vote on whether they want to take this initiative on it's been many years since the program so we need a vote from CS CAC that this is something that you guys are going to spearhead as of right now there is no program in place if committee agrees to take this on CAC needs to come up with upto-date guidelines on what the steps are and how a business would go about this from inquiry to installation what are the steps and processes and once the committee finalizes this then we're going to tap Our Town attorney to do one last look at the form and for him to give a legal opinion on what needs to be changed or removed from the form after that we can go live with advertising that campaign on your okay and that's if you guys want to have that structure where it comes to the cultural you know if it's something you guys want to put out there as a cultural Affairs committee initiative as of right now there is nothing I can tell you that there's a business that will grab a cow and you know uh will paint it themselves and really they can do that but this is I guess you guys kind of trying to tie in with the cultural Affairs board yeah it was our project ago so any I encourage you guys to take a look at this because this is like the third time that we've talked about this but nobody has brought forward these guidelines okay anybody wants to make a motion that we uh continue with this program as as we can I mean it's it's just the matter because the the I motion to discontinue the cow program well right now it's not even no there isn't a program I motion not to continue or even initiate the cow program I motion to continue Well's either you second it or or nobody is there second for discussion I have a question about the cow I educ a motion on the floor motion can you repeat your motion please you need to I motion not to get involved with the cow program that's the motion and now I'm trying to see if there's a second if there's no second the you second okay so now discuss okay discussion okay so my question was this is for like to create new cows or to to adjust the cows that are already in place it's a library cow that is like needs to be repaired or or anybody that has a new business and the cow's there the business moved and the cow's there and they want to take it on do we have real real estate company we want a cow so here's the procedure A B C D and here's how much it's going to cost right to get a cow to put in front of your place do we have someone who manufactures the C yes okay that's the question it was about two years ago you guys had requested a qu and it was like $9,000 for just the mold right they you and that was two years ago that's what we need to discuss what is the what what is it that you guys would want in place if it's something you want to do that's what's not clear right now cuz who pays for the cow basically a business is going order whatever you want but they want once upon a time they used to be spearheaded through cultural Affairs so they would come through cultural Affairs they would order power with you guys you guys would help with the artist and it would come together and that would keep I guess a uniform you know everybody was using the same mold or whatever yeah because otherwise and the cows look all different the idea at the beginning was to create a old and then the artist we will recommend the owner the owner when they when he pays it that's his C but he needs to keep the same move so there's consisten yeah like the one at Bank United they sponsor that c there ma are like yeah there's three of them right CL Bank United there's two on Commerce Way there's the one in the library there's the the one in Publix all look the same is there a benefit to us being involved it's art but what does it have to do with us particularly I understand it's art Felicia yes I get it but how does that benefit us as the cultural Affairs Community it doesn't say anything about us it says somebody has money they went and they wanted a cow they put it in front of them it doesn't it doesn't necess when you look at those cows you don't just like oh because some of them are in front of businesses that decorate them any they they have a plaque that goes with it uhuh and the plaque says who wants it and it's you know it's describe who you know that is if you go to the one the library you can see that there's several one that does it say cultural Affairs committee on the plan I think it does but we're not tied monetarily to this right we sell the the mold to the person the person buys it and then do we make money off of it you promote it you promote it so we basically make a lot of effort for no profit is that is that the consensus get we we can get you know like I said public wanted it like for a long time they PID for it they got their artist they have it's just it's just because it shows Miami L like you go and you see the roosters you know it's kind of like so when you at the you think Mi you don't think oh cult Affairs commit yeah yeah but it's it's it's helping the community bringing I mean we could have uh other pieces of art you know doesn't have to to have around town which is what part of our you know calendar is Art around town right that's basically the cows fall into right but if they've been doing it themselves this whole time why do they have not been doing it on themselves well business have without going through cultural Affair yeah because and and they haven't installed they have installed some new ones behind the park that the mold does look different it's a complete see that that's that's that's my worry that people going to start doing different things well as of right now that's what I wanted to care about there is no program in place that's why and then what's going to happen we're going to have tons of cows that look totally different and we have in like I said I like to emphasize we did this this was a project from our committee to to have some kind of uh and I repeat it again is is we started this program back in 2001 people okay where in discussion but there's different there's discussions going okay was this discussion I okay whoever wants to say something was this a Graham other words gr grah were not involv in this no I'm not to involving but originally this something Miami Lakes was this was Dairy country all right and then the the graes got involved and then they decided to make a whole development here yes so in other words what I'm trying to understand so the cows and Miami lates and the grains somehow yes they represent the they don't represent the yeah there's still some cows right chair proposed it back then and we agreed on it that now agree with it is there any other discussion any other discussion may I speak as a guest as a resent that's a committee thing if you guys want to open public comments you can that's a committee decision to make that Mone as a resident am I tax money I'll she a member no so that's I'm saying you guys would have to open public comments public somebody would have to make a there is a motion on the table public go ahead all real quick this committee has a decision regarding what you're going to do about the cows if you're going to do make any more or whatever the bottom line is that the cows represent the gram companies and original Dairy that owned all this land out here uh before you get away with the cows or any involvement um I think to some degree checking in with the cows and say look you know you need to put in some money here because technically advertising for them comp I'm sorry the check in with a GL whatever whatever process you have to go through before you totally do away with it because it is part of our culture our history exactly so to do away with it all together I would give them the option of knowing that hey you know it's expensive $99,000 whatever it is it's expensive and you know do you want to get on board and help us with your trademark or not but you know give them the opportunity to say yeah I will help you out or whatever I mean because represent comments are not closed there is a motion on the table are we done with that discussion and Jackie has yeah she she's eating her C okay in the minutes so is there any more discussion before we go for a vote secretary you want to take it to a vote okay so we can repeat the a motion not to get involved with the c program a motion not to have the CAC the cultureal Affairs committee right get involved with the c okay so if you say yes recing now right correct um and Charles seconded we had this question okay all in favor or doing away with the to program raise your hand we got two in favor yeah two Z and Char okay against I'm abstaining okay so five so you have to write all you have to write all I thought I write down the one against we'll get the yeah again I would encourage you guys because I think being brought up but nobody's actually bringing up now now we're goad to I'll re you guys that email because I know it's a little bit okay we done are we done with this item yes let's move on to any announcements before we ad announcement okay our next meeting is going to be January 8th so if there's anything oh uh just to let you know uh we're having elections and the January meeting right yes so most of you could be here that would be great when are we voting on January all committe have to all the Committees have to vot for all officers chair Vice chair secretary any other questions gos okay so what time is it [Music] okay thank [Music] you and if anyone is here --------- ##VIDEO ID:9dVyLiQC4WM## all right so addition corre and did anybody have a chance to look at this than you oh my goodness what a great oh my good thank you thank you all right everything looks good to everybody we don't have Dory no he should have been marked his accent last time but she not even here right but she wasn't here last time either thank you and then anything else was anybody else last no we need to take off LS but he he still shows up no he's still many that's what has he resigned no he has not resigned nobody's taking him up saw it with ro yeah but he he I I spoke with him personally and he says no that he's coming back that was like three months ago so I'm going to now that Josh is in the mayor because he was appointed by Manny CID and I call Manny several times and he didn't do anything and the other guy didn't do anything so now hopefully he will make M he'll be there tomorrow with us I email he just he just got sworn May couple days will act on that right I'm if there's anything I can do for you to take care of that since I to me no worries okay we'll talk you got me okay so that's that um public comments so it's approved the minutes are approved oh yeah minutes are approved we have to do a motion to approve it motion to approve second in favor in favor discussion all in favor in N any n hearing no n motion pass motion pass now public comments any comments well I can't tell you I spoke with the mayor and I told him okay that so he said he promised me that he GNA be probably G to start with committee okay so I told her you have to you know meet with all the committee because we the one that do the events do a lot of things for the town and we you know we don't make a penny we don't work for so I think you should talk to us see what we need what we can work so he promise that you will meet with all the Committees stting with us and the vice mayor too both of them because he was with me today we were today at the meeting at the Chamber of Commerce okay and both told me we'll be there tomorrow of course go ahead I make a motion D that Pedro finish his conversation our new mayor and follow through with this request for him to meet with us I would do it at a meeting no discussion all in favor any names it passes getting what else practicing practicing and treasur report so we have so far right now um 28,749 and 25 we still have spend some credit cards yeah all right we got M yeah we got said I don't have to do the whole thing again okay comment for me um it everything seems to be rolling really well hold on I have to ask something about the dessert for the thing do I make it now or not no we can talk about it in the Bingo or in the okay so the comment for me that everything's going really well the bingo was great and the movies was excellent the people that went loved it um turn right we had a big turn but how many people went it was full it was full like 58 wow oh yeah it was good um it was wicked no more people in so we might have had like 60 some it was good the people enjoyed it the hot dogs were good the was good that's it everybody seem to be like it even here everybody every moving the Halloween thing was great that was a lot of fun too so everything was great yeah next old business that that was okay the bingo was excellent the last one we had right no problem theye went well this is the old one or the new the old one okay the health fair well we can talk about the new one this it's old business it doesn't mean it's the old thing so the old one was good and the new one's tomorrow the new one's tomorrow you have gardinos gardos and everything set for that yes dessert everything the only we have to do it's not let's go I think she doesn't um okay that's fine the only thing we have to do is put tablecloths up yes I have a question yes ma'am it says here there was a motion which passed evidently to buy four $50 cards did we do that no they will be with you for tomorrow we do have them yes no you don't have them yet she will be okay just just checking oh okay okay all right so that was good fa what okay I'm sorry um for the Bingo for tomorrow I printed up new meal tickets perfect so that we have them um I have 100 new ones again a new color and new ones so that you can um tell and I that sure she asked me about my so I so so that's we have the ticket we have the table only I'll take that opportunity as a reminder with the tickets we have to make sure that whoever I think it would be good to just signning from right now whoever's going to be passing out meals it should not be more than two people and those are the two people that should be passing out meals because then others start helping and then that's how people get double you know double meals which we have limited meals and then and we need to make sure that whoever is doing it is picking up the tiets that that's the point I wanted to make because um we are getting more and more people now coming and more more people signing you know that are showing up that did not pre-register so we are going to eventually run into the situation where we have more people showing up than we have meals so the meal tickets are going to become more important that we're not telling people who actually took the time to register oh yeah well sorry we're out of meals right so we need to make sure whoever is getting out the meals they're they're actually collecting a ticket to the meal and I know there was a problem at the last event that some of the committee members didn't even get to eat but we did notice that a couple of our guests to C more than one meal well that that one too remember that some of the people went and want it to because it was election they went and they passed on me and when that when that becomes you know they want to give more then because they want to please everybody and that's what happened me but we've been doing pretty good but if you have um uh likely you'll have an elected official or two coming to your Bangals just make sure to break them on what your process is as that day and and they'll go along with it but I don't think we had taken the time to tell them that they had to collect the ticket so we just need to communicate if there the ones that are going to do it that's fine but just make sure they know that they're following the same protocol as you guys so nobody gets confused we will we can do is have them only pass out water well they they they'll do it now but that day they want it to do no they wanted to do it right all right so that's said the health I wanted to uh clear something up with you guys before we went out with promoting it um I think there was confusion last month because I thought we had agreed on a certain time I went back to the not to the notes after the meeting and what we really agreed on was 11:00 a.m. to 2: p.m and we had talked about March 29th I do want to point something out March 29th is I don't know that it interferes too much with you guys but that is the week where spring break ends and kids are going to go back to school two days later so I I only mention that because maybe some people are out of town however I think that maybe by the Saturday they'll be back um unfortunately something to just think about we can continue with that date it's on hold for Roberto Alo just for you guys the thing with Roberto Alonzo it's that we're very limited because if they don't have kids camps and they have activities and if not they have like the fields so for you guys to hold the health care there I'm trying to make it on a day that doesn't have any and for it to not have anything it happens to fall during the breaks of but that's okay so but just something to keep in mind because I don't know if that's going to affect your attention or not well I think that most of the people that go to the healthare were either elderly right and I don't think that I think it might be even a good thing the only thing is that there will be some that travel with their grandchildren somewhere everybody I just wanted to make you guys aware um before we went out with the day I wanted you guys to be aware of that you know is okay I mean does anybody have a problem with that day I think it's okay like you say we need to take a back because we need to do it over there because of the par we'll stay with that okay what is it Mar and I do have from 11: a.m. to 2: p.m. that's fine because it's not too early that we can wake up and it's not too late so we changing the 10 to 1 to 11 29 11 11 to2 I think you're on theong is that so yeah two hours no no from 11 to 2 hours three hours you know people can always hang around I mean nobody leaves give right away usually they okay so that's I don't have to am no no I'm just the movies Wicked again we said it was great people loved it they came we have a question down here are they going to have to make reservations to go to the health there or is that that's not um usually we could just leave it open um what I do what I if anything goes up on a v would I'll let it be the sponsorship opportunities for whoever wants to respond to that um I don't know if we're going to pick it up on our b or not but regardless I'll have a package like a Pia that I can share with you guys yeah people just walk around and9 March 29 the reason I asked is because whenever we do anything from 11 to people expect to be fed and we need to make sure it's clear that this is be and there's no money we got vendors before where we can have like healthy vendors come out and sell they're interested right but we're not paying for that food if they've gone to the fair before they they should know they saying vendors would be invited vendors like healthy vendors heal vendors what she wants to make sure that people know that they're not expecting free to be fed I don't think everything is clear that we've never we town is invited it's not limited to the elderly it's limited to the only the only thing that last heare that that I did not like the there was that little card people right I would like I think that if they even if they do it for $50 they should have a right to get stamped so not fair so here no well well it is fair because the person that paid for it paid like $500 versus the person who paid $50 you get a little small it's I can share the package with you although this will be a delay um so the package had three tiers to it it was either $50 you were just a vendor you were allowed to be a part of it and then it was like let's say and Ian of number tier maybe it was $200 and then they got a little bit more benefits and whoever paid the higher tier was the one that would get the the stamp that's we did a bingo card and then if you filled out the bingo card you would turn it in and you would be entered for a raffle price so what Lord I mean what Rosario is saying is that uh certain vendors were not on that bingo card because if they didn't pay the the full the top tier then they were not included they were upset but then that but that's so nobody should be upset set because they are signing they are agreeing to that agreement in the sponsorship form that's people that just agreed and didn't read that's what it is that's why I have them fill out when any sponsorships that we do they they select the tier and the tier tells you these are the benefits you're getting that's what you chose that's what you're getting it the day of if that issue comes up no there's nothing you can do but if the issue comes up and somebody asks me well what tier my boss signed up what tier am I oh yeah we would need someone available to answer that question no we have the package and I would say hey look that's what you said we have the package and you would say at some point when an employee and not the person who signed up I'm trying to picture me sitting at a table somebody comes up to me and says I don't know what my boss set up for they just told me to come no I think you we're going to need your head the availability for an answer to that question we're only talking about the little cards so if somebody comes to me and I'm at that table and they say hey how come my my whatever it is my company doesn't have the sticker on the card I would say oh because you signed up for this tier right and then if anything I would have the package which then explains this tier gets this this tier gets this and this tier get that so you're going to get I think her clarification is you're going to have copies of all of the of the one the list of spons the list of and then will there at least be something at that area that I'm going to get asked that question where it says tier one oh you got tier one well what does tier one entitled me to exactly I want to be able to get an answer we will have it so there's no problems there won't be any leave it it is we have to do paperwork it's things like that well it's I what I want to be C about it's not so much you're doing paperwork it's just that's kind of what sponsorships do like depending on what you pay is what you get if not there's no enticing a sponsor we're not aware of those divisions of a b and c entitlements and who's ever working that level I was aware but I thought that still maybe we could add instead of a star check but if it can be done can be done well I just point the whole point is people go to the one that they get the star from it's the incentive because people just want that little star so that they can go to the r right so if you put a little start now everybody has that same incentive so if somebody's paying for the higher incentive they should get that star and not the other people and and you could say next year sign up for the h te there's your incentive and it sounds like a plan next a wicked it was great moving on because we have to finish by 7 o' okay it was wicked they loved it the food was great everything was great any problems with continuing that no that's movies right yeah the movie great and we don't have to pay for the bus so let's talk about that in conjunction with the other senior field triops cuz I I need some feedback from you guys on those um I attached as part of your packet the pricing on the on you guys had requested for the Jersey Boys and Coral Gables so I I looked at other ples just to you know other to see what other places we're charging and I mean that's kind of what tickets cost I guess when you're going to go see a so I'm just letting you guys know in case it seems expensive that seems very you what pricey no no that's kind of I mean I looked up like people are playing The Nutcracker whatever like all these other plays and that's kind of not they cost more so that that date and Sunday at 3 well this is a proposal right we haven't agreed to this I'm sharing it with you guys because I we didn't know prices before so I wanted you guys to see the pricing to see if it's something you still wanted to go through with and um I also wanted to tell you guys that I know you guys are used to doing things through weekdays mornings or early afternoons but they only show this weekdays during the night or on Sunday during the day so those are really your only two options i' rather go Sunday during the day I think people you know it's a lot of traveling for because we're not going to do the bus you can just meet it well no I mean I mean that's up to you guys normally you guys do the bus when you're going anywhere you know they come out I did the math they come out to $69 36 Cents a ticket okay well because I included the two PRS so I just divided 50 by the amount well it doesn't really matter oh I what did you think 53 do we necessarily have to stick with going to this particular show my my husband and I go to the Alpac the lud Hill Performing Art Center they do like a special thing on Wednesdays and Thursdays with call it uh lunch in a MAA or whatever and they have like this year they're going to have like 9 to5 and a couple of other you know popular plays coming and they give you lunch from 2js and they give you the play and it's $55 which is the same price as this i' rather do something like that we getting 3468 that's what you say total 3468 oh you do in the other one there's two oh I'm sorry I'm looking at the wrong yeah sorry there's this one but I'm doing this okay page we talking about that's where I had sorry this is I was I was referring to the Wednesday pricing for 53 but uh Lan did it for the Sunday this is Wednesday and this is so then for the Sunday pricing is yeah so for the Sunday it is because everybody was talking about Sunday it's now I lost 6 6936 for first and I know at the elpac there are community centers who are going there because when you have over a certain number of people they give you a discount on that $55 maybe you should reach out to them because this is and this is December 3rd no well this is just a proposal this is just a proposal if you guys want if you want if you can send me just a name and we we can help you guys look into it um something to think about though um obviously it's expensive you guys I mean you guys have the money however I would consider how are we going to keep track of these rsvs because as you guys know a lot of people sign up right and then they won't show up you are going to be losing that money so how do you guys want to handle reservations there there's really no way because we you guys can charge a small thing but and I'm only bringing this up because we talked about this before I think mostly you guys don't like doing that but I don't know if it changes when you're talking about a $55 ticket yeah because it's cuz you're not only paying the bus you're also paying the what that's expensive for some of no no no but maybe like $5 I would say 15 okay there you go that gives them it's really up to you make sure that they don't not come okay if they if they cancel then we only lose I think once they put money up 20 yeah why don't you make it in you got if I'm reading correctly $56 per seed am I in the right column here well now we're talking about another P it doesn't matter I'm trying to say is make it an even amount of number let's say they're charging you $56 and then you want to charge a fee make it for ny's math $4 so now you have an even number of $60 to collect and you're not sitting there with dollars and this that the other thing trying to get like maybe 15 or $20 to make sure that they that they don't back out all I'm saying use that money for the bus or for whatever use it to supplement yeah I think so I think that's what we should do but I think her idea yeah a really good idea because they give food if if they give food the win wins TJ's very rest it's it's um they give you the meal from 2js they they give you a choice have three things it's either a chicken Caesar salad or you can get um I think it was like a ham sandwich or roast beef sandwich they give them a cookie they give them a choice of drink that's excellent a and they have them go in they eat the lunch before they see the play and then after you eat lunch you go over into the into the auditorium and you see the pl okay can they pay can they I would hope pay in advance so that if they don't show up they're losing the money no that's they have to charge on they that was yeah that that was The Proposal that would be the way I would do it but you're not losing your money yeah because they take advantage of us oh I'm signing up I'm signing up for this that the other thing and then we're stuck you know with hands on our the remember the bus yes also if we're hiring a bus that CA for each of us as the committee to RSVP correct well we don't count for you guys yeah guys that would be a problem like I would only save like let's say the bus is for 55 I would save may I would only go out with like 47 tickets so we still would not have to no I would just ask you guys so in case there's I can open up more spots okay so I do a motion and how much do you think so should be de well a Saturday or a Sunday well this is right now we don't have any proposal in front of us like this is just a I suggest you go for Saturday Sundays are bad for senior they all go to church okay she said that other place doesn't do the week right during the week would be great elpac only does it on Wednesdays and what do it call elpac oh well it it's the Lauder Hill Performing Arts Center oh and the three Broadway plays that they're doing this year um are from January 16th to February 2nd they're doing 9 to5 the musical oh that's nice from February 27th to March 16th they're doing Legally Blonde and then from April 10th to April 27th they're doing South Pacific all the other times different shows but it's different days and they that one Nancy they give a meal a lunch all right so you get more for your money add it to your agenda if you're going to vote on it no we're not nobody however you guys do want to do it I do need a motion okay I motion to get the information from oh not to get the information I would suggest you make the motion that we're going to do this but like that gives me direction where we could just in case it's available okay I make the motion that we're going to go to the Lauder Hill Performing Arts Center Center Center the date we're not sure about the date we don't have to can you guys give me a month which based on the one she's saying which one do you guys want what she all good South Pacific we have 9 to5 from January 16th to February 2nd I'm sorry January what January 16th to February 2nd we have um legal we blond the musical from February 27th to March 16 and then we have South Pacific from April 10th to April 27th South Pacific I want to go in January I want to go in January we have January has on a Wednesday could be the 22nd I mean if you want to keep it on a Wednesday or people want to keep I think it's Wednesday or Thursday okay so Wednesday January be it really depends on their availability too but I just wanted to know which movie so we can go based off of that it's not a movie I mean sorry what do you all want to go see which one do you guys want to go see you got 9 to5 January 16th through February 2nd Legally Blonde 227 to 36 and South Pacific I go either 9 Pacific those are the two that I would like you want to continue your motion and see if we pass it okay I want to continue with my motion we're going to try to go see either a okay 9 to five let's say 9 to five in late January if possible is there more that I need to say oh and we want to charge and we we want a motion to charge $20 okay I second that motion who wants to go to 9 to5 that's radio well hold on we're gonna vote on it now this you say charge when you say charge $20 that's plus the the ticket no that that we're going to charge the people that register on BR all right I didn't okay this is a motion to go see in late January whether it's the 29 or 22nd whatever day that is a 925 at the lot Hill performing arts and we're going to charge $20 on event that was a good you need a second did you get your second got the second now you're on discussion discussion love it no I have a question what do you mean on event right they have to go on event they have to and they would pay there oh well you know if they have any problems they can call me and I would help okay if you know anybody has any problems even at bingo we can set up one of you can help them the $20 I will iess at Bingo tomorrow we're planning to do this whoever cannot do this call me and I will help you and I'll give him my card and I will okay are we not voting on the other two or we just deci let's do this one first so it's a sign up fee your email so I can send you this yeah and then okay so we continue have now any all in favor all in favor any Nays no name motion passes motion passes yay oh so we're we're into 9 to5 we're not running the no we're not going to do it right now we're gonna focus at this work now then we will continue okay okay um senior crits and then the other one I have on here is the frost sence well that you're GNA try to get well yes I just wanted to let you guys know they told us that yeah they would they're part of the golden ticket so they will host Us for free and it but so based on this 9 to5 that's what I wanted to see this is what they I'll look at it online but just tell me the date so I can was it 9 to5 or the the one that you book we did it on the 22nd I January okay so then this would be February should be February field trip okay do I have to make that motion no we've been working out you said January 22nd no okay any new business I forgot all the we have to make sure that you are going away that we have everything we need for the Christmas thing everything I will be there but anyways everything is in that room stored for you yeah but you won't be here she's turning off her phone too oh and then we're going to get the food because we already went the and that gets paid that day well I will start processing the payment now to hopefully have a so we need to serve it we need to have servers or we serve it or something what are we getting we're getting moral the Hispanic thing because that's the only thing we can find we called the other two places nobody came nobody answered us and what place are we going with s and they're charging $7 we had to serve but you have to pick it up no I think she and I will gock yeah it I know the manager there phone is very good I know it's not roasted whatever you wanted lamb we called two people nobody I think she mine was the third choice that was the third choice oh yeah so we did that guy that remember when we did Thanksgiving or whatever it was and that food was terrible and it was cold the pamp I don't want to do it I I didn't I didn't so the only thing is that I called Vicky Bakery because we didn't have dessert so I wanted to be a Christmas seed like dessert so she gave me either we got rice pudding in a little cup or I don't know said in English they're like bitos they're like the cappuccinos that are really sweet and she gave me a price it was kind of pricey even the F she she told me I didn't want the really small little cups because what want for dessert what want for dessert and I going to give her the owner's name a chicken Cola she I know her personally I she she wasn't maybe she gave me 25% no she gave me no she gave me a good prize it's still just pricey how much hold on I didn't want the small ones how big about this big yeah with the regular one I don't want the small nice nice nice I didn't want the small okay she said which are no good are $17 $135 that's with the discount but they're like this I need five of them to little the regular size cappuccino are 225 and the regular size are 25 which are like this it's the Christmas party let's go for whatever right or we could always get from in red white and green and they put a little I said we get the cupcakes the cupcakes they put them on sale a dozen 9.99 boxes are deal so the cupcakes we rather go for the cupcake okay cupc from Fox what is the date of that event good now if you're talking about Publix or whatever and you need that stuff picked up yeah I've got my I'll pick it up I can pick it up it's stand me I've got my vehicle which would be able to handle picking that stuff up I right volunteering then you can do it let me know where and when I got to pay give them a check just we'll talk about it yeah you available that's fine and that's on the those are the cupcakes you cupcakes on the 21st at we'll remind you I want to know now public the1st which publics are you ordering it from Miami 154 I have one around yes for so going back to getting ready for the Christmas or the holiday party oh yeah um I know we have the one backdrop from you yes that for us um I was hoping that Dory would be here and that we'd be able to get a backdrop from her because she has several but I'm not quite sure what her status is right I I have a backdrop we just need we need a frame yeah well I went to I was over at um Party City and was able to get a little easy one that we can tape off it says New Year's Eve on it because everything for Christmas is already sold but we at least have something that we can put up another section foror Eve and have something like we have three there is a stand there for you stand whatever bring it and we'll give and I have a second one here okay and she has little I'm sorry she has little a d she's going to give out a little package look each Pier is going to get that and we're going to have so I have enough I have 120 we have 100 of each tomorrow and then I have 100 of each for the party in the cute little and Care Plus came in for $800 for the party oh wonderful that's actually your entire lunch very good very good and what time usual 11 11 a.m. this one's from 12: to 3 because it sounds sat right so the decorating Club should be there at 11 are going to arrive too so oh yeah we have a made oh my God arrive whatever that's what I wanted to there's nothing missing from any no questions about the the Christmas party right we're good we're good 12:21 at 10:30 to decorate yes and you are going to pick up the cupcake you said I got it already and 12 to 3 on Saturday are the hours for the event okay and I'm pick them up at the public we will remind you moving on okay moving on any announcement from anybody running time I have a oh go ahead an announcement comment whatever um I okay so let me give a little bit of a background I belong to the zanta club of Miami Lakes and last week we had the state attorney's office come and give a lecture on human trafficking so I met the um um not the I forgot her title but anyway from the state attorney when she found out that I was part of this committee she told me that they're starting a whole thing on the elderly that has to do with abuse and all sort of things that happen so they want to come in and talk to us you know they can come in and talk to us first and then they would like to set up a lecture for the elderly to you know about things that are going on so I've in contact with her and and I also knows and so I wanted to see if everybody's in agreement if I could have a motion that's all I would need motion I make a motion there you go now you have to make the motion have the state attorney's office come in and speak to us about their new elderly uh initiative that they're going to have I can't s when is this any discussion uh well they'll be coming in probably to talk to us I don't know if they'll be able to make it to our January meeting because January is uh month exactly so I'm not sure if they'll be able to that to check their schedule if not for February's meeting they will come in and talk is it this is a good question is it a small presentation like five minutes or is it an actual presentation where we host them for a forum because if it's like a a forum they're going to want to come she told me that she would come in and talk to us first to let us know what it's about and then they would like to have like an actual okay so can they come in for our January meeting to talk to us I'm going to try to get them but since January is abuse month I don't know how busy they're going to be and these are the people that came in that are part of the human trafficking unit so then it would be our February meeting for a a March seminar yes January abuse month you can abuse anybody you want [Music] go ahead leave it to you what I'm asking is someone mentioned correct me if I'm wrong that January is abuse month now we're almost on top of January what I'd like to see us do is have capitalize on that and perhaps with the permission of our liaison do a special call meeting just to discuss that event to get it in here for January that's just an idea if it can be done no she's not proposing a January event no because they're very busy State attorne office that work directly with so they can't come Nancy the state attorney's office cannot show up okay but because of I didn't mean for them to show up I meant for us to discuss how we want to do it when we want to do it we'll do that they'll come to talk to us at a meeting you can do that tonight we need come they're gonna come and then we will set up okay any speaking of abuse just so everybody knows my office collects pajamas and books for children that are victims of domestic violence um we trying they're coming to pick them up it's through Miami D public um through the domestic violence unit um for the for the Miami day County um so if anybody wants to donate any they have to be new pajamas these for kids or for kids for kids all the way up through the age of 17 or a book um they're coming to pick them up on the 15th right now as of today we have collected 321 pajamas we have 178 books at this point in time we our goal is to hit 500 this last year we hit 4 I think it was like 75 or something like that that we did last year the 15th of December of December yes and then um similar to that um so one of our staffers every year he takes uh unwrapped gifts to emali so if you guys are interested in donating an unwrapped gift he will be collect he's happy to collect them tomorrow at the bingo I know it's short notice but if any of you happen to have an unwrapped toy or want to go grab one in the morning uh he would appreciate it if you guys take it to the Bingo and he'll collect them at the front yes that's what those are at the front yes okay so we don't have to come in and ask for a person just no you can take it to the Bingo if we you just wondering who he was that you were he do it every year yeah he do we gave it to him last yearing that one motion toour it you're all good I all of you [Laughter]
