topics um but we talked about ways to maybe help increase the attendance of it so keep an eye out for principles PTO PFA reminders and things like that when these Zoom sections will be um scheduled electronic computer-based learning platforms that we use in the district um you know not only the benefits that some of those platforms bring to us but the concept that we we need some balance um between the computer-based learning and opportunities to kind of bring us back to more pencil and paper and books and things like that um so excited about trying to implement that wherever we can increase those opportunities um also on the horizon for this year is going to be um a revamp of the k to5 math program and uh we're excited to talk about that it seems like there's consensus in our committee and the administration's working on um finding a program that brings sort of a return to the basics math facts being at the Forefront of it um so excited to see where that goes as the year's curriculum development um gets moving so thank you have got thank you Mr T moving on to Student Services Mrs Wright yes so we also met on Thursday January 23rd um what I thought was really great is it was our first opportunity to really sit down with Mrs Granger the new uh director of special education uh so we got to talk about not only her background but some of the things and and goals that she has for the year so I was really impressed with what we were able to discuss um keeping along those lines just want to remind everybody that there is a meet and greet scheduled for February 11th here at High School North media center from 6:00 to 7: to be able to meet with Mrs Granger so I just you know would ask that if people really are interested in talking to her uh about the special education program here and wanted to meet her so please com on Tuesday February 11th um some more highlights just along the lines of special ed uh there was a Crisis Prevention training for administrators teachers and Par professionals that happened on January 14th and 15th njcie came to do a consultation with in-class resource teachers at Thorne and Thompson uh to be able to give them some instructive feedback about strategies to most effectively maximize the co- teing model within those classrooms uh scheduling and projections for 2025 and 2026 uh as with reported for is underway and also Mrs day originally this was scheduled for June 3 and has since been changed to D June 10th that's not something that's in our control um because our students and 10-month employees are off on this day due change is on the agenda at both high school students and the Freshman Frontiers had the opportunity to experience a presentation on academic Pathways and also to visit the AP dual enrollment fairs
