safe Thanksgiving um we have one presentation this evening and I will pass it over to superintendent choka to welcome our guest thank you I'd like to invite um our music supervisor Miss Danielle nlman and one of our high school music instrumental teachers uh Cooper Ford up to make a presentation um I don't know if you want me to play this first or play this after okay so fingers crossed it worked an hour [Music] ago F join us on Thursday December 12th at 7 p.m the just Performing Art Center you don't want to miss it all righty hi everyone uh well said um I guess for the adoring fans out there I'm Cooper Ford um one of the HML teachers at the high school as along with uh my supervisor Miss Danielle nman here on behalf of the students and staff of the high school U first of all I start out by thank you all for um your support over the years for everything uh to make these wonderful things happen and our students are able to do things that are not possible in other districts because it starts here it starts with uh you know parents and school leadership getting behind the music program and saying yes it is is important for well-rounded education for our students and through that we are able to provide wonderful wonderful special opportunities they don't get elsewhere so there are a lot of things that are going on um and things that are happening I know some of you have had even your children as a part of it and you've witnessed it throughout the year so uh we're here because we are thrilled to share about a new wonderful thing that is coming up which I will turn it over to miss doodleman and she will tell you some more so um it's winter concert season so we have about 11 concerts that will be coming up between the elementary schools the Middle School Lynwood and uh now the high school so we're kind of changing up how we do the high school concert this year um we're not even calling it a concert anymore we're calling it The Holiday pops show uh we're we're spicing it up a little bit putting on more of with theatrical holiday performance uh think along the lines of trans cyberian Orchestra Manheim stee roller and the classic the Glen Burt Chris stravaganza that used to take place at the State Theater that our students used to take we would be a part of it I was in it when I student you know Mr rean my old supervisor used to bring us all along we all play the State Theater um and it was wonderful so we had this great idea years ago they wanted to turn our Winter concert into something very similar and this is the first year um that we're doing it so our holiday pops show is going to feature our honors music students who are in the choir the band The Orchestra and the drum line uh plus some nbths alone are going to be coming back to be part of the show and some very special guests maybe some singing High School administration that you may have never seen before I want to way too much but it'll be worth it I promise um as always our concerts are free there is no cost or anything to enter our concerts um but this year we've partnered with the north Fric food bank with the help of uh Laura Kinski so we do ask that if you're able to bring a non- perishable item uh for a donation uh the um Minal Alliance is going to be collecting at the right in the lobby so we're going to have a food drive which going to be a part of it um and basically we're we're here uh because we wanted to extend basically a formal invitation to central office to the Board of Education Town Council to anybody watching probably just my mom she thought the band was playing I'm going to come to the meeting no one support no one's your number one fan like your mom so anybody watching the um Alum fames friends music enthusiasts anybody who wants to come out and join us 7 o'clock uh December 12th in the north brunic T High School Performing Art Center which is a fancy name for our Auditorium um the students are all which has brand new lights it has brand new lights uh thank you all so much that it was it's wonderful the project was done it is beautiful we have essentially the same lighting system that the NJ PAC does now um obviously on a small scale because we we don't host you know 10,000 um audience members but it is wonderful so you will see all of our brand new lights um in uh in use we figured out how to to create presets now um one of them says general use but really it's flashing blue and orange when the Mets were still in the playoffs so don't click on the general use when unless you look in New York met thr party having stage um but the students are all working incredibly hard both in and out of the school day to put on a great show um so we really hope that you're able to join us um also in the lobby we're going to have vendors will be out there um so they'll be selling holiday themed goods and the B parents Association as well we always are so thankful for their support they selling hot chocolate and other winter treats um so 7 o00 December 12th at the high school um there also might be a special DJ out in the front another uh High School administrator just DJing in the lobby um we're trying to get as many people involved this we're doing on a pretty small scale this time but as we we hope that this works out and we were able to incorporate you know more Township like the the women's group The Women's choir that's say we're Hing to try to just incorporate as many Township things as possible um so come check it out and it's free so you we would happily pay by the way uh we the kids are they're great they're going to put on like a professional worthy performance we're we're all very excited so uh thank you so much for letting us present here tonight and we hope to see you guys on December thank you so I don't know if any of you been I'm sure many of you have been to the holiday concerts but you know the music team just puts on incredible concerts and they have a special concert they do for all the elementary school students um where they take them in buses and it's it's one of the last few days before the holiday break and and everybody just it's just a lot of fun for the kids to to spend the morning at the high school they get to be in the big Auditorium and and see all the music and then you make a lot of fun so um we're looking forward to that season as well um but thank you for for coming and making the video and thank you to um Mr Swain I guess for helping make the commercial so that was that was a student production from our new TV studio as well I think so so thanks again great thank you for being here we look forward to hopefully some of us will be attending all right we will move to item number six our meeting minutes uh Mr Lori would you please take that item are reaching out to parents of students who may have had high absence numbers again this time of year and continuing to be here to support parents and families with the challenges they may be facing that is it for my report this evening mam president thank you we'll move to our student reports good evening Miss Keefe and Miss Montero hello good evening um so sgo hels holds two blood drives every single year one in the fall and one in the spring so November 12th we held our first fall blood drive and the New Jersey blood center was able to collect 81 pints of blood with the help of mbts students and staff and this will help about 250 people that are in hospitals also on November 13th we had a busy week um we held our annual powder football game and the first game was the seniors versus the freshman and Mr Z said that the seniors most likely broke the record for the most amount of points scored in a game following the seniors and the Freshman the sophomores beat the Juniors with like 26 to six so in our final championship game it was the seniors against the sophomores I think we were all hoping the seniors would win but the sophomores beat them and the class of 27 are champions for the second time so who knows they might win all four years and then ending that very busy week on November 15th and 16th The Alchemist Theater Company performed their fall play Hamlet thr likeed in everyone involved did an amazing job in bringing this play to life and that's all we have thank you great thank you for being here we'll move to our committee reports Mr Lori business
