this conference will now be recorded % okay we can start now take a quick head count person Colman is here remember G is not here no M currence here remember CR here member board is online okay oh motion go you know what it is motion's name is not on the list yeah it is agenda member Gordon right before guette not only thing I got in front of me again are you looking at the agenda or or the meeting well that was the minutes oh yeah okay don't mind okay it took me a while to get here and I still haven't awaken so be I feel lucky to be alive you're here I got here in my sleep is that where all those cars outside blue and red lights oh and uh okay and remember alate AR here here I see see you have the minutes you have the compliance thing here saying it with the word okay same words okay the notice requirements of open public meeting for this meeting have been satisf IFI a copy of the annual notice was sent to the a par press and the coaster Post in the Town Hall in 5 the office of the toic CLK on June 30th 2023 and this meeting just remind you will be recorded and available on Ocean's YouTube channel so we have uh today we have minutes from January 4th meeting did everyone get a chance to look at that yes okay um and anyone here to make any kind of motion about approval oral cronheim move and comes second second okay all in favor of approving the minutes of January 4th I I uh Jean you can vote and U mosa I'm here if you can hear me yeah did you vote on the minutes uh I wasn't there last times okay so I will not vote on the me minut say okay very good okay so the minutes are approved okay that being said through our uh agend so the first thing I put on here was be here when was the Sher Federation uh information so have we paid those dues by the way Don did we get this we got that bill right from the sh Federation I don't know if I got that bill I will check tomorrow because I thought she said she was sending it right out I will check tomorrow okay but we've already approved have we approved the payment we already approved that we didn't down now we approved for um the classes for the core training we never voted on the um G Ru all right well okay why what we determine they were going to be because I remember I talk to basic like and then if we have that's P for five or something like that five members and we're going to pay for seven with the alternate with the two alternates M and uh all right okay so I'll make a note to we'll look into that and um let's do this let's just I'm sure the builds will be less than $150 okay so let's prove payment of up to $150 okay yes sir and then we're we're going from there okay and we want to move that we spend $150 want to make your first money move yeah say yes okay Mr Armstrong moved that we paid up to $150 and uh second seconded by kronheim and all in favor I guess we're taking money so we have to do a roll call V on so okay so say chairman Colton I m currence i cronheim i alternate Armstrong I and M Gordon oh Ken's here Ken's here Ken's here hi Ken good evening for voting purposes since it's late as always anyway yeah okay remember Gordon approved so so we'll spend it so this way we already approved the payment when it's time comes now for what it's worth so we had this thing so the shry Federation information for members there a form that they had to fill out you know name address number email and all that sort of stuff okay and if anyone and on it you also say whether you want to get a hard copy of the of the shade tree it's called the shade tree it comes out six times a year I think something like that quarterly well whatever it is it's think you're six times right I'm not sure it's one of the other anyway it's a magazine it's got some interesting stuff in it you know generally and uh it also comes at it as a um in an email you know and you can pass it around too so like maybe I'll go back and look for some older ones and consolidate them in some way and people who haven't seen them could check check them out okay so uh Donna we we'll try and I don't have I didn't bring that sheet with me but I'll you know try to get it send it out to everyone so they can put in all the pertinent information they want in it you know and then we'll consolidate it and send it out okay second one is the tree giveaways okay so historically we've given away trees the third graders which technically was always the environmental commission but from now we'll just consider them together and and we also had trees that we started giving away some number years ago when we started greenfest we got some trees we were buying them and then suddenly they had this thing called the um you know something like state of New New Jersey uh tree restoration program or something that funds were coming out of the U orbit day foundation and we were getting free trees then we then we've gotten them for about three years then we'll be getting those again this getting them again this free giveaway for um the third graders and to first of all we we bought them ourselves for a long time and then we found out that the state had free on so we started getting from the state free but this year the whole third grader program was cancelled one of the cutbacks that they've been doing in the state has definitely impacted the New Jersey State Forest Street nurse okay so between help and everything else so that program was completely cancelled but we I already spoken to Dave Brown and we're going to buy treats for the third graders I've got a nurser that has you know was having trouble getting a hold of them I'd call them and leave messages they never answered but then today I noticed yesterday I noticed that they had a way just putting a thing on the website you know and I did a guy actually responded me today so I guess they are alive somewhere in South Jersey and we'll try and make that happen comes out to it's probably a better deal first I was told by forestry people that they still would be having trees like maybe even though they're not having the free program they still should have some trees in their catalog but it turns out the catalog has been canceled too and uh and that still might have course as three $3 or so a tree in this place has got the trees for less than $2 for seeings various sizes and things I'll talk the bill a little bit about what particular trees we should ask for do we have what do we have a budget for this and do we need to vote on this no because I think Dave Brown will'll handle through Dave Brown and the shade Tre fund type of thing putting a thing to Dave you know i' already spoken to him about it it could cost about $1,000 that that was my guess that was when the trees that was going be $3 a tree and we had 300 kids okay but now the trees but then going have to have the tree shipped in because no one's going to drive to uh right you know I just thought even if Brown because coming from sh I would I just would think because it's coming from the shade tree fund the shade tree commission will still have to vote on it that was I I for process that was well I'm not sure we actually have an official process but I think Dave just said that we should come up with what we'd like to do and send it to him and he'll be it or something like in any case I've got to get the if they're going to them up we got to get the trees the week of um the 21st or whatever the week is but the April April two weeks out yeah it's like yeah two and a half or something about three weeks till we would get the trees 17 days yeah so I'd have them shipped in directly to the school system you know and go from there now the one school that we given to is the hillo school they're not even be open at weeks and they were talking about maybe not even doing it this year so I have to work out something with them maybe but we've got about three we've got about 200 and some OD kids in town and the sh school and the search day usually gets a dozen trees a piece or something where's the stru It's s or so it's way down I forget what town it's called AG G AC all right let me look at something because if I have to judge that Surf Contest in ldi I might be able to shoot r down ear okay I'll know tomorrow defect with these things is if we get them too soon the defect with these trees the trees we used to get from the the state Nursery yeah were all dipped in an in one of those U polymeric gels okay and they they would hold that moisture yes under reasonable bit this guy though they're just going to be be ceilings what newspaper stick on a bucket of water they'll fill us long yeah no I'm just saying just say well let's see because if I if I had to go down there I just go down a day early say over at my buddy's house overnight and then judge I'll keep you post it once I figure I'll call him tomorrow and see when we're to run I have no problem POS okay all right in any case that's that's where we stand with the U the treatment that's one said a giveway see problem so what happen I get the most important part of the giveaway in a second okay so it turns out that um the giveaway was with greenfest the last couple years but greenfest now because no one was showing up at that time either they moved them themselves out into the middle of May or late May whatever they are so meanwhile the trees you would get from the nursery you know which we're going to get for the give away the ones he's talking about Bill's talking about the third grade ones you know but the other ones that we're going to have to give away independently from the schools processing those kind of things themselves okay is coming from the nursery but turn they're not going to be real seedings this year probably going to be tuings and who knows what else and what varieties are we going to get they say well you have to see what lives kind of a thing whatever they did right y so these things are going to be bulkier you know than the other ones were but they'll probably be easier to do what we're going to do with okay so so my plan is to get them uh to have the 21st I think that's Sunday is the dat we fixed for the away and uh we're going to have it at the senior center after Rec coordinating with mik troo again but he's he's only on that okay and um according toan surmont okay she's got people from the garden c a couple of shifts okay so we should be pretty good but I'm hoping that sh tree uh commission people show 21st right yeah be we're scheduling from 10: to 2 okay and Don is going to put on social media and I'll tell Diane asked about it so she'll put on social media and we as it turns out these free trees that getting is what is even though it's like an Ocean Township thing but anyone from comes from any town is entitled to these trees because it's coming you know from the state so I'm just saying so someone comes in that just okay so maybe when you do it how many res well I'm going to have I'm going to have a sign in set sheets they want to see that they want to see that also anyway you know and a few other things like that so so that's where we stand on that okay so let me know if we'll figure out who's coming get the names from Diane also and then we'll come up with who should beware when you know we probably need the main giveaway is from 10: to 2: right we probably need someone let's say from 9 to 10: would be a good time to show up about that I'll need some help course we've got to set up things and get all this stuff out and everything else okay and you'll send around just you know address time email with the address of where you're going to be well we're going to be at the senior center near the approval rightest West Park been there never been to the Senor Center yeah I know park there but I'm not so anyway yeah so we'll so we'll see depending on when I find out what we're getting okay um but I'm G picked them up I think on the um the the Tuesday before that but they're supposed to be more viable the used to I would stick them in a big refrigerator in the Senor Center there yeah but these I don't think going to be seedings May whips not no no I mean these are going to be they're going to be in tub I think oh they may be some some I don't know exactly what the mix is going to be so we'll be winging it a little bit there okay now the next one bill can start talking about these we have four applications for trees free removals in the right of way okay and I don't know who's had a chance to go look at any of them but I did send out uh pictures to everybody of of all four tree situations printed out the latest one so let's start with the one on brosel 900 brosel on the cor BR anybody have a chance to look at it I look at the I looked at I get the result not they um two relatively decent sized sweet gums and they both have co-dominant leaders and I'm sorry they have co-dominant leaders in other words they have two leaders that are like this all right right right okay and inherently by structure this is a weak Junction I don't care what kind of tra is Bradford paars those horrible things this is all they have cous that's why they blow apart in the wind the rain load or anything like that the one that is the eastern most tree the point of bifurcation where it splits is right at breed so you have the entire uh lever arm the head of that size working on a less than desirable like I I just fed a less than desirable structural piece the other one the point of bifurcation is higher in the tree but you still have the same thing U the resident is saying he's afraid of the house well if they split on the angles of bifurcation they not I don't think so it looks to me like they're going to go parallel to the road and but you still have have a risk there don't get me wrong but my opinion is the Easter one you could probably get away with taking the eastern most leader off of it now is that desirable at this age of the tree no because we're going to open that flush cut up the weather and it will begin to run but it's probably you know you're still looking at another 30 35 years before that tree becomes yeah what's the health of them what that PR good yeah because they didn't look like they were close the road they didn't look like they were leaning on the house no they were but the the measurement that Mrs per had sold me to use for right away is 10t they're yeah they're there all right but they didn't look like they were no they're not Hazard or blocking view no they the the the terminal growth end is consistent for four or five years you look at the ground first then you look up you look for the terminal growth so they they're functioning I'm sure the president is tired ofing up after swe and I get it but I my opinion is you could remove that one leader off the Eastern one if that had been done when the tree was young it would already have calloused over wouldn't be an issue now eventually it's going to be an issue but not for a long time and then just prune them lighten them up and that reduce that you know reduce the sail area up there and minimize the RIS of the house you still have co-dominant leaders but the trees are in good health they have a structural issue but they are in the right way I'm inclin I I remember that that picture I looked at I was incl looking at that one my only question is are the trees is healthy and you know I a lot of trees have new work for me codominant well the problem but I I I would say no we they can't take them down I I think that's a we're trying to preserve trees not take them down you said they might have 30 40 30 35 years well what I said is if we take the leader off the eastern most Tree in 35 years we're going to have some rot and that it's going to get into the other side can't be avoided but if you don't take that off you leave them as it well you you have a much greater risk in my professional opinion of that one failing because the codominant the other part of is with included bark which means there's nothing holding these two pieces together whereas if you have a crotch that looks like the jum that's strong the other ones are not has nothing to do with the species of the tree it's just structurally what it is I think they could be pruned they are changing the entrance from Rosel to side street so the front porch is going to be over there they're put addition going up on the the house on that end I hav I hav't say plans or anything but this is what was relayed to me by the resident he's concerned well reduce the sale area in the top of the tree another professional right here well what do you think about the one where they they're starting it it splits at Ground have you seen the pictures I didn't see the one I think I sent them to you I did I mean I the IT department oh boy you know I mean that one's I mean bifurcated right there that's kind of you never know I mean but if we take it out the other side's going to be on the what yeah because there's probably my guess is that that that leader is probably 50 ft W working on that CR that's a lot and if you top it take that lead around right then I that's really wrong I'm just curious maybe nor in this situation you can say no you can't take it down right the town can say no you can't take it down but town can the town say but you have to do this instead I mean can you sell someone we give them options now they also have the right to appeal right this decision and present their case bring an expert if they have one or whatever right uh so that this is the process this has to go through is delineated I mean they could get a certified Trier yeah say differently and then you would probably have to go with that who decides I would say just ER would take would go to the town manager and then he forms a committee to to hear he well he formed he got the if they I would provide them with the appropriate paperwork that we do have they can file the appeal if they wish and then it goes through the process and they're um the members of the committee one person is from the environmental commission one person I believe is from Community Development one from it might be public works and then it doign need by the township manager and they they plead their case and based on what those folks see and decide they either grant them relief right let's talk about these trees first first there two trees the one that starts right at ground level is the southern most eastern it's on the side street that well all right if you face the house one the left right good call okay so that one now that one you're both agreed should come out no I think you take that leader off and then burn the head if you want to but that's the right around over and that's why I said oh in amount of time there is what about the other one I thought you had you kind of confused what the other tree the other tree the point of bifurcation is higher in the tree right so the lever arm is commensurately less I mean look I put a lot of things like that together but folks don't want to you can put cables and rods in these things they never move the right hand one the other one I don't think you can stabilize it so that's why I said you could take that leader off per the tree and probably buy yourself another 25 years at least before the tree would need to be ass that's the one on the left correct and what about the well I mean you do have a co-dominant leader in the tree and it is recognized as a structural deficiency in the industry it's there so so you would cut that one off too I wouldn't no I wouldn't cut that one off I'd reduce the size of the crown of the tree do a crown reduction on the tree take the leverage off it it's obviously if you want to keep the trees if you don't want to keep them then let them take them down but those are your options it's the reduce the sail area on a weak point see I'm looking at this one picture now Granton I know where I'm standing but it looks like on on the one to the right that the one is leaning toward the house to the light there's nothing there's nothing it it it is it has more of an angle toward the house than the other one I know I've been there three times but yeah you're right that one does it's that tree's also been there a good long while you know they're probably 50 75 or seen a lot of women and they've never been pred there's no evidence of buring cuts in them at all well they've been elevated up quite a bit they've been elevated but they have they've never had any Crown work done no so if you reduce the sail area in the ground you you help to reduce the the load level on that weak point can I guarantee it'll stay there nope you can't guarantee anything that's going to stay there but but I think also you know might be good I I think what you're suggesting it's found the one that's got the the um ground level recommend they cut off you know recommend those are those are their options my gut feeling is they'll appeal and then I would also put in that suggestion maybe we could there's a way to put in and you know you can sterilize these so you don't have I I wanted I asked ask me about that do it myself okay first they it's not it's not necessarily guaranteed and it costs a lot of money yeah it's very expensive all the time and it also J just said it all revolves around the timing of when you do it and it's annual right so that means it gets expensive in a hurry this lasted 3 or four five years yet it's probably worth it it doesn't you'll get one maybe you'll get a reduction on the second year but then year three you're certainly go back and this is the SI I don't know if you noticed but I have noticed more gumballs this year I have noticed stress anywhere any other time no but trees do that they have what they call a mast I don't know where they Nam Mast their Mast came from M year every so often depending on how ofer is what type of tree and all this kind of stuff is when it just goes just if you you see wasps everywhere that's it's their survival it's how they species you'll see that a lot if we have a super drought next year all the flowering trees are magnificent because it's going to bear fruit which does same thing with the Aces and those are the ones that are really PR what you're talking about right right all righty all right so so let's back see this thing over here what do you think this see this look right there and for that going to the left the right hand piece looks like something happening it's a w this is part of this Shadow close the Shadows that that's what that thing is but yeah it looks like a b yeah yeah we can wear know see the Shadow from the one to the all the way to the left one in the middle yeah the one in the middle bad joint yeah well it's either a joint that half of it's come off I can't tell from this I bet you that's a red maple was a co-dominant leader right there one of them came off you know how they do this well anyway that's that's your reference on that well that's mine there three of these four of these yeah yeah I would say let's let's suggest the the premier yes sir and um and see what they want to do I'll give I'll give them all their options because I think if it was mine I would be inclined to take off have Tre be a little l have taken half out of the right hand the motion no I mean I mean one Trum of that because I mean it's I just from experience that's an awful lot if it's high hard you're going to unbalance what's left the one that were taken off I don't think you're going to do as much unbalancing as you would to that thing I'd rather see them PR the whole tree all right so that's where we stand with that one okay so that was that was item a so I'm denying the removal request and giving them suggestions as they okay thank you give all options including yes no I got it okay okay next one is 808 bendir you look at him okay tell what you saw oh it's pretty much like they're all that whole street was Norway Naples most of them are going at this pointment I think you ought to put that street on your replanting list with the the problem is I don't think it's not benir it's the side street no you want to plant in uh in that space you know so that see one of the problem we have we have to I think eventually we're going to come up with a way to do this is the plant on people's actual Pro that would be IDE so so remind me just I'm just this is there are three Norway Maples on this street there's a stump of one that failed that grade catastrophic failure grade um I spoke to the resident today they called before I uh left um and wanted to know the status I explain to them what would occur this evening and they were very appreciative of the information I gave them um none of these remaining ones have any saving social prices they're all in serious decline they are Hazard my recommendation is remove them remove the stumps and the resident said they are amable to planning some replacement trees on their property when whenn right do we do we have any input on what kind of trees they like not a fruit tree maybe but a real tree I suggest to them but I would I think I will give them suggestions of a very a variety of trees that are more appropriate for the size of their property we do have utility lines there to be concerned about and give them some options because they're doing something that you know it sounds to me like they will be influence by what you tell well I had discussions with Tracy when Tracy was handling this kind of stuff before she went to the manager right and it turns out that whereas if there's a construction thing going on and they want to take out some trees they're required to replace the trees and all the sort of stuff like that right but these trees here are either they go or they don't go it's sort of an independent thing and you can't ask them or tell them to do they volunteer that they would like saying saying you can't we don't really have any Authority it's more it's just a question of whether these trees grow or not no I I understand Sugg's having a relationship with someone suggesting not saying in this particular case it sounds like regardless of whether they hate tree hate trees and would never plant a tree in their lives these trees should go oh these trees are sa then they got to go now here's the question they're in the public right away yeah yeah but you can't comment on this I no but right now right now the rule the law is you know what the real law is stupid here's what the law actually says I know we charged them to take the tree down we've been through this we know you know we in what the actual law says which Patty knows because she was trying to rewrite it but it hasn't gone anywhere and the rewrite we were going to take responsibility for those trees and pay for the removal on our own nickel anyway okay which is what I still think it should be but right now the law is such what it is okay so but it's everyone's Advantage right now considering how the process works would work if they're going to call someone and say take them out today you know it's their nickel which it's going to be their nickel anyway all right I will explain that to them I just want to bring it up so we all are in agreement that those trees should be removed and the stump should be removed yes you can on personal n the Shak commission appreciates their willingness oh no I know I know what to tell them but you tell said said that app I certainly will okay so now we're on 218 F yes tell us about condition of the tree I can't tell that why it's a sweet gum in a planning no it's a sweet gum and a planning strip that's roughly that yep now is the tree healthy yes is it the wrong tree for where it was yes is that anybody's fault here no never should have been planted there anyway especially a species any species of tree that's going to get to be as large as that thing might have been a volunteer I don't think so because if you look down the landing strip there's sweet gums around the corner as well as all that and would you look at the resident uh lawn on the uphill side of this thing I wouldn't want to try and walk out there in the dark because it's all surface rooted and some of them are three Ines of diameter it's an ankle breaking field and he's concerned and um wrong tree wrong place well this is the one where the guy says that when they built the thing with the AL is and nipon that suddenly there's more water everyone's got water in their basements and everything that no one ever had for 50 years till they I can't call they can't say how true it is right but that's what he said and and he says like 50 years and there's a lot of roots but there's also a lot of roots just on the lawn like there's no the lawn is almost solid wood I mean it is a hazardous situation on his property he has already on two the streets on the cross street uh two the trees on the cross street he has ramped the sidewalk because the sidewalks are lifted you know broke the sidewalk out and put it up same thing's going on here we've got sidewalk live it's really is it a hazard for the sidewalk Crossing trip tripping hasard yeah well I mean I mean our sidewalks sidewalks have to be Ada comp yada y y well also and it's a municipal tree that's creating potentially creating a trip and fall Hazard on the resident lawn you have Hazard you have the potential for fall into two spots um I realize the desire to retain trees for the streets but it's very difficult to reconcile the species of tree and the width of the planting strip and also you know obviously they're already having flooding area I'm sorry that these trees soak up a lot of water you're going to be and having recognized the danger of this tree we should do something about it because it would be subject to suit if we didn't bingo yeah the law this Community forry Law indemnifies us if we say in good faith we not wored about you know we we going to keep the tree and you couldn't tell that was rotten on the inside because you can't see right well there's there's a negligence Factor also so I think this one based on the sidewalk if nothing else but the trip Hazard is in his lawn not on the side side lifted as well the side but can the sidewalk be repaired and he's already repaired at once yeah this this one has been done he did two trees around on the side street that his property I think this is one of those problems and it's not just Ocean Township it's in a lot of municipalities it's an ongoing MCT the pictures I sent out on this one I specifically took one of How High that side surpris he hasn't got says you guys yeah so so are we so we all agreed that it should this tree should be removed I I can vot myself exctly right you're if you were able to what would you say no that's okay so Okay so we've got we still got mosha and Ken over there but this one's this one's this one's really a mess the roots on the lawn I never saw anything like that that tells me a couple of things there's a clay cap in the soil that's why they're up there and so the vote is they may have something to do with the water of their all experience because I bet you when they did that excavation over there they broke through the clay cap and now that water's running but it's not coming up it's going down on it's in basements I've seen that but yeah I didn't what do you want to do with us so okay so let's we've got to move on and I think this should go can we Mark the site since it's on public land we're not allowed to replant anything there are we what's that are we allowed to replant in that spot with something else well we can't there's nothing we can plant and the spaces that these things are in now with you know between the sidewalk and the curb the fact that the town has a thing that says you can only plant grass there as a as a rule I think that's food okay there's plenty of low stuff you could possibly plant that but actually possibly what is it you could put smaller ornamental it's like a foot 30 oh imagine I'm think I'm think thinking we got get through this I'm think of perennials even or something like that but that's okay go okay now we got 314 Park View that's the one we have the pictures here that's the one you have the pictures up here and this first one the black and white image if you look at the base of the image you see those little white white items at the base of the tree okay those are the fungal fruity bodies of either shoestring root rout or Amalia root rout which means means that whole root system is necrotic and that thing fail that tree can fail at great so this is a no-brainer this is yeah this one looks and there's also a vertical column of Decay and it where a branch broke off it never calcified over caled over and the water has worked its way down I wasn't climbing up that thing to see how far this one looks like it could come down well was one that failed on that street two or three weeks ago and it's a problem but this I just wanted to point out this thing actually Norm has a second photo here in color that really shows it so that's a big red flag the guys like myself when you see them it's like okay let's we're going to take this down because this is subject to failure at grade so that's a thisis you know this one this one I I agree with it's unfortunate but this is what's happening and it's happening all over and we have to address it better tree selection smaller trees and be ready for a much shorter lifespan that's thank you that's remove that's a remove okay so that one's gone okay so let's move on now okay so the um the stewardship Grant okay so we got we had the stewardship Grant they performed the survey they gave us a version of a configuration Community forestry management plan okay which actually even though in their case it's not it's not quite the same as our previous one but I think I sent both of them out to everybody so I and we haven't given an actual review comments back we want to get that over with okay so for one thing look at the emails that I sent out related to this take a look at the two plans and see what kind of thoughts you have to share you can share don't have to wait till the meeting to share you can share it in email or you can call me or something like that send me some notes I've got some comments on too as it turns out oddly enough the kind of plan that they wrote is geared more towards uh what the way the state's plan is going to be done because the new plans the new configuration Community for and management plans and we're going to have to have another one in about a year even though RS hasn't been changed in five years between the fact that they couldn't decide what they wanted so they sort of kept extending everyone's AC acceptability level but it really we didn't do anything that and um so it's that the new version is going to want to see more things like remember you have to have a survey and then talk about what things have to come out and then your plan like in their plan they actually talk about this is what they would remove in year one year two year three year four so it's almost exactly what we're going to need a new config for management plan okay okay so one of the things and G maybe you could take a look at this because some of the numbers they Ed for they made estimates as to what it would cause to take trees down based on size but that's their estimate from wherever they take their numbers you could think about what things are in our area and see if those numbers are VI or not it's not that critical but it can't hurt to take a look at that you know yeah um and overall they did a pretty good job on that okay now the second thing is the in kind hours that we have to we can't get off the grant until we pay them and settle all our details with the state right so this was a grant that we got to $50,000 we were going to need up to $50,000 we we would need um uh 25 25% uh inine which would be 12,500 which is which is like 400 man hours right at $30 an hour give take right so uh it turns out we we spent about only 80% 80 to 85% of what it was going to be okay so so we we we less but this is meetings we talked about it anything you did is part of this type of a thing now in the meantime did anyone I don't know how many people we took you know tree keeper training people took key Pier training and this is good for anyone who lives in a town is involved with anything including Town's people work at Town Hall and all that sort of stuff it all goes into the same part of in kind except one is going to use what do you call it the the group I can remember the name that they they take estimates for things you know estimating Manpower for each state I forget what it's called but anyway but the talents can be actual salary type hours and so on so for we'll work those numbers but come up with the numbers and think what you did and didn't do and what you think you did now just as a qu the treekeeper how many people actually have been I gave everyone a um an account G I think I I don't think I missed you but I think I gave everyone an actual account on treekeeper basically you go to something the equivalent of ocean. tree keeper.com or something like that and you get into the site okay on your computer I sent I you've got an account Jack trust me me on there somewhere and it's got a password that I don't know what your password is but this when you got an email from the system inviting you to join and in that they gave you a temporary password and then you go in and the first thing you do like any of these other programs you give yourself a password okay so do that there's a mobile app too and take one two three4 I took it already you know okay so uh well as long as that's your username you have the same password but anyway in any case uh so please do that you know keep me posted on on your hours and everything else want to try and get that thing over with okay for one thing I didn't get a chance to send it out because I got too bogged down doing my some tax Oran I think but there's some new grants coming out andj has a grant and did I send you the I see that inject did I no but I sent it out I have to be recused from that since I'm On The Board of Trustees so I can't I can't touch it well it doesn't mean the town can't the town can I just I just can't be involved in it right good nice nice nice to get out of the only useful work he might be doing for us this year okay so anyway uh but that's okay so what is doing I didn't there's a grant there's some kind of a grant and you could do a tree survey for something it's a basic thing they're only it says they're only going to give out in the whole state it says they're only going to give out 15 GRS about $1,500 okay so it's not like a gigal thing like the state G but but if we can come up with something useful to do and we write up something nice so we'll have to take a look at that okay do can do you have info on that you can yeah I'm going send it out to everybody on both commissions but I just but what we can't as a shry commission we have to close this grant before we could apply for any other Okay so we've got to get it paid out and and settled up with the state and the hours that we did I did when I was doing the um Counting PR preliminary counting before the survey those all those hours it's everything it's almost anything after September August 3rd okay cool then I will 2022 maybe even 2021 to be honest with you that's how much I blew away the first year okay okay so okay so now okay so now three ordinances and webinars I put on Okay so we've got uh our the forthcoming State ordinance which we've also passed out for people to evaluate environmental commission is looking at this s this stuff too and then there's rebanar I've been attending and bill has also that relate to the new ordinance it really is under the under the purview of the water some ms4 ms4 permitting which is a water kind of a thing but but it really relates to the tree ordinance okay and I sent out to everybody I think the uh at least in our commission I sent out the links to the actual stuff that came out and the slides yes so you can look at a video and and you you have the slides too if you want okay so and there's a third one coming up in week it's next Tuesday haven't sign up for that next Tuesday I be problem make that supposed to go to don't worry because you can always just won't get the cus but right now right now you get C if you do it but we're gonna have more than enough cus because sur's doing another thing this year that gives us more Sur than we need so I don't think cus is going to be a problem that's what my next thing I was going to say at the bottom is just I think going to be covered with that but that doesn't mean that these programs when you see them they're they're pretty programs most of these things you very education you know and all that not I have been in contact with our case manager if you will and she has copies or had by Center the links to our existing pre protection ordinance as well as the section of land use ordinance right and she is reviewing them she asked me for confirmation on a couple things and I gave her that today so I believe we're going to be fine and we can watch this unfold a little bit and then pick the good parts and the you know if they have stuff that pertains to us that'll benefit us by changing and let somebody else do all the work if it's better than what we got take it yeah I think I'm get for that sounds good okay so um now the fre planning guide that Patty came up with okay so we were talking a little bit she's so she's been part of that includes having a mini committee to address where things might go what might go there communicate with the people I think we've gotten some input back yeah we've got we we actually approve we approved it um we said that everybody was okay with our last meeting I call the sh commission was all I I don't mean I don't mean you planning thing I was going to say no we I got there was another email didn't we get something from the um maybe I'm the only who got it right and I didn't F run because I just have been too bogged down but I think I got something from the uh committee over there on a oh that's a different no that's completely different the colonial terrorist people that's a different issue yeah no they they want to know what are the trees going in because it's spring so yeah that's different that's but that's still a factor of what we yeah know but let deal with them separately because that was last year's finishing up that's not going to be addressed the well I mean we just need to figure figure out when the trees are going in how many trees are going in and that call you that I have some IDE species numbers where all but I mean I think as a as a commission we just have to do we have you give it to those folks we have to give it to dat and say this is how much money it's going to cost this is what we want to plan we have to get approval from from the township we make the recommendations they right they've has to do it and then who who takes over after that okay who's going to order the trees to tell the people who Chas we're not going to give them a check so it probably be Public Works who's going to be the lead on those projects I think it's going out for contracts I would put it down for a bit because Public Works what I mean but I mean Public Works can be the people going out for bid just like Public Works goes out the Fe to come Down's waiting to hear from us about how many trees and which Tre right what great so do we need to vote on that as a commission and approve that I don't think so because we already said we already approved to then you're good it's a Dave it's a Dave it's a Dave thing once we decide they go for so you want you want to just email the recommendations to all of us and I'll let him to that way yes I'll do that great okay core training is anyone taking any core training this year this spring so far pad I know said she couldn't then you're back up okay but but they did do it again um online so that was a good thing so did you ever do any of this did you do that qu tring a million years ago all right well we we'll talk about it another time I think I'm not sure when it is I think it may blown time for the the last round to do it basically online is stud and nor number six here over on the agenda number six on the agenda I just need to know I just want to ready up to speed that I brought our approved fre planning guide that I wrote sent it back today for him to look at a conversation with him he approved it said yes he is reaching out to certain Township folks and certain committees I'm we've divided who was going to be reaching out to whom to try to U populate this committee okay and I just need to have one more person from Sha Tre if the sh Tre commission is fine with me obviously you know being on it I think it makes sense but but we have to decide you know who's going to chare it of the shade tree and who else wants to be on it and so you know that's that's what I need to find out so if you're not sure if you want to be H think about it I can call you and Prest through you and see if you want to be on it I could but I've got a lot stuff you've got too much on your place so so uh Canon mosha over there you know think whether you want to be on look at the thing that Patty wrote up uh that now has been blessed and decide whether you want to be on the committee that's want to thinking about what we what we're going to do to populate the town with trees again I'm not if you were like if there was a tree your hands okay okay so okay so C are just going to say that um I think we're going to be covered already this this early in the year which usually is in December I'm trying to figure out how we're going to get those last couple of cus so I think we right ahead plus the things that I'm doing because I think the the part that um you know you're you're going to go your credits are going to go to Red R because I'm an employee of the township my credit because everything is being emailed to my I'm on from Bill b Brooks at Ocean township.org my credits will go to you want so we got that's many more we're going to have good for us but I think we're going to be good because you only have to get eight all right I think R is pres somewhere were 14 so we're fine yeah yeah right okay okay community outreach anything no and that's all okay so so we're sort of running out of time to say the least anyone else including uh Ken Moshe anything anyone else have anything they want to say you want to add anything anyone's going to make a comment on I did bring up including freeor in the noise ordinance to the chief work on he is the opinion that just stop just stop basically you can't work on Sunday you're okay I know you spend so much time in church on Sunday it doesn't matter um he's of the opinion that should be uh in the general uh noise ordinance regulations of the police which is section 3-33 paragraph G which is construction I'm not sure that's entirely right uh the only thing I'm going to suggest is that we include section 9- 2.12 out of our ordinance which covers emergency work just so we're and I'll work I'll continue to work with mic until we get it hammered out and it gets in there that's all I got a lot of these towns electric go go to Mama Beach well it's the least lower going seconded all in favor all
