uh first we'll take a rooll call okay chairperson Colton is here member Gordon not here is here turnheim here is not here right now and it turns out that we no longer have a vacancy for alternate number two but Mr Jean Armstrong was foolish enough yes and the moment if Mr Jordon doesn't answer and we're going to take any votes Mr Le is not the first Al take any votes have vot well I'll try not to spend any money because we want you to get too slow ahead okay okay so uh that being said the notice requirements of the open public meeting La for this meeting have been satisfied account the annual no was sent to the a Park Press and the poster posted in town home F in the office of the Township Clerk on June 30th 2023 this meeting will be recorded and available on the Township's YouTube channel okay so we have minutes uh for approval but I haven't had a chance to tce you want to hold them off so [Music] uh let take take a couple minutes just quickly quickly look through the thing the people who were at that meeting were Gordon de currents and last this is two meetings ago oh why was that the December 7th not the January we haven't gotten Jan licenses have a higher priority well that'll change as we do more action things instead of talking things doubt change when theg I don't know trees have Mars too don't put those right there he correct uh okay I'm not sure what the date was going to be uh on on but you have November in the first paragraph on the St print yeah it says November 11th to go over Logistics that was December 7th meeting that's why no we voted on them in January excuse me we voted on November and January no no in this thing it talks about the stewardship gr says there'll be another meeting on November 11th but we but this that's that's after the meeting so it must have been December 11th it was probably typ rightly look at the minutes December [Music] 7 could have been January but it could have been January 11th to be honest with you I have to we'll have to think about that tomorrow oh yeah oh no that was right I'm sorry that should have been January because that's when it was thank you oh yeah just to take a making edent they might an H Mak that's a ger okay so got here so okay so AC all in favor can vote Steve Steve you can vote even if you haven't but you haven't seen the minutes you mailed them out though too right Don did you get a chance to read the minutes Steve I got yeah here Steve yo all right well I voted all right so we all approve the minutes everyone V to approve them minutes approved okay let's start the top somebody's a quick that's what I put him at the time core training New Jersey Urban and Community forry core training which has been around for a long time and uh the thing about the core training first of all other the fact it's an educational thing about community and all that right um one of the requirements for proper accreditation with New Jersey Community Park through a town is there has to be at least two people who are accredit who done the core training one of those people has to be a Township employee and one of those people has to I mean they don't trally anyone else in town okay so right now I mean have you had the core training yeah a long time ago but I don't know that I qualify well as a could employ but you're but as it turns out right now we have two two two employees of the town okay one was named works for Carlos Carlos yes okay he's one and Dave R's the other one Mark Theus was credited I mean had done the training but he uh he not here anymore okay so but Steve Higgins I may suggest that Steve Higgins do it okay and Pat and Jack may have sign I thought he didn't do it last year but he might have been signed up and paid for it's a $30 thing no be anyway okay but uh and they're going to be doing it again I sent out an email and I think you it right yeah basically basically the way this the the training works is here it is so basically you sign up it's going to you can do it online okay and you can do it at your visure for a bunch of things that are going on but there are two mandatory sessions that you have to attend live you know which is kind of the zoom time okay so the thing I sent out which I sort of summize here I the key points on copy over here is that the training effectively you do the train for example there's one thing uh if you're going to take the live TR course opens on the ru campus so you can do that sort of stuff but also there a list of Zoom classes and so so and uh most of those videos you can watch and there's some quizzes that show you to and so on and so forth uh online but I would suggest every we just look at what this is you know you get you get crit well no there's no cus there's no C for the core training okay but people have to have that no one else who's just not an employ as far as that's concerned just that it is informative [Music] I mean this goes back so far that when we took it they were just going to put out the license okay which was funded by those by those projects so so anyway so you can take a look at it and start what you want to do in the meantime I still I want to send this to Steve Higgins I did already you know suggest that he do it anyway if he can uh and someone now people people can work for a town and they can live in another town but they only get be on one person's credit doing this so ours is more important for people who work for the town that we don't soly don't have one which actually happened to us because we only had one guy who was Hank clim and he you know he retired that oh yeah right yeah if you're already been used by Red B that's fine we yes no we're good but of course Red Banks usually if you're the only you're not an employee there so anyone else though in town though they only require one member of the shade tree commission committee and red has been through the four course along with about a half public but other people must have taken the course other than you that that are citizens right we have three people in public works the Public Works superintendent no think different and and all we're down one member all six members of Comm have been through yeah but you only you only really have to have one person who's not an employee and one who's an employee that Maks the minimum requirement everybody the cus is another issue okay all right so anyway so for people who might be interested in this okay here's the thing this thing supposedly starts in March right and this is our February meeting okay it's $30 ahead okay so let's assume that as many as five people wanted to go on our nipple okay so we keep moving things Al I'm going to move that we allocate up to up to $150 to pay for core training for those people who want to get core training second okay so I what will vote I here and Steve with us yes nor yes you voted yes yes okay Norm you have to do each individual okay right so Colton yes uh go that yes Steve Say Yes here muting or raise your hand I did that too okay okay Cur just cronheim yes LS yes okay I suspect now Jack's thing of course you weren't doing it you couldn't part of reason you didn't do it you had trouble getting in and everything which means we must have paid for you from last year so we got to try and figure that out I don't know I'm just saying try I'll try and figure that they don't have any records PR again okay that's the court train okay the tree giveaway so there's two there's two kind of tree giveaways actually that I get involved with okay one is the giveaway where we get the free trees we gave out a greenfest last year and that was kind of convenient except that they've moved greenfest into the middle of May May and the lady she can get the free trees is April 24th or 5th or something like that okay so I started looking at dates and so and so forth I spoke with Dian Sur yes of the Garden Club we help give them out okay and I'm assuming we did it a few years ago we gave it out gave out by the senior center we do that again I think so between them and us I think that'll work out I'm looking at a calendar and when I would get them okay uh it turns out that the um somewhere around the uh wa what I wrri this is ridiculous okay I sent in my thing and I put a date on it that's impossible I don't know what I was thinking about I put June 21st but it's really okay so he he he got my thing but uh he didn't read all the details so Alec mcart guy who runs this stuff April 2 the forest April it's a Sunday April 21st I think we through it it's right it turns out Easter is like a month before that okay and then Passover is actually starts uh like the day or so after this the first Sor night is like the next night okay and uh Orthodox is the week after so anyway uh I got to get that corrected but meantime so we're going to try and get so we I sign up for 20 500 free trees you don't know what kind of trees you're going to get until they happen and someone is over okay now another thing I got at the same time last year and coordinated with all the schools and everything was we got free trees for the third graders but they're not doing that program this year no free trees for the third graders I think they don't have enough people to run the forestry Nursery the state Nursery what the only problem is like right so uh but they are going to be doing Tu blings okay but they're going to CH the TU Lings and I haven't been able to figure out they haven't got they're still W to figure out which tool Lings are going to be survivable enough that they can give them out okay because I spoke to someone at the nursery this week and that would cost us about $3 a thing okay but I also found a nursery in um South Jersey that does seedlings like we used to get from proch okay the advantage of the tubings or the ones we got from the nursery was the nurse ones even the barro ones were sort of dipped in the gel okay it kept them this this other nurser I spoke to them they've got a bunch of things and I was looking at their list which won't address right now okay but they uh would be less like less than two bucks or a buck and a half or so for for a decent saving and an assortment of things you know the Pines they only had um Japanese Black Pines was the only Pine they had it at Le but they had the eastern red cedar Jun those I think be something like that L but they had an assortment of Oaks and other things you [Music] know things anyway anyway the idea is didn't have good thing time so anyway uh so we'll have to work that part out me want I'm going to send anything to Dave Brown and ask about what he wants to fund if we spend it say up to th000 there are a little over 3003 graders in Ocean C and before the state was giving away pre trees I think the shade tree commission and the environmental commission us to split the costs when we actually had to buy the treat I think I think that no in the beginning there was only an environmental commission that's right so it turns out the environmental commission the environmental commission uh um report those trees and the shade tree commission was buying the ones we were given out at greenfest and stuff before they started this free tree people program on that side so it turned out first one years you know and then you didn't have to pay anything for we didn't have to either you know so we can figure that quite out a little bit later but um I think it'll be a good thing to keep the thing going you know give the thr great the thing I've already spoken to the school systems that was my question there and they'll make it incorporate into an educational yeah they've been doing that for several years the ocean stat schools and H school also participates and I also give a bunch to the play they only don't want too many to what sh school and the search day SM something I put that okay okay now cus okay so so far we've already miraculously gotten two cus Patty and I took something and even though there's no stuff we just can tell it when it is however as it turns out Diane surmont is is like or a go-to person she's taking some other thing that is not quite the same and she may not take all of it or so but I sent the curriculum that she shared with me with the person who worries about these things at D and she said well when she finally does her thing you know so she should we should give up her eight we've already got two we have eight cus in a year excuse me I get a lot yeah I have to get 32 every yeah those they may not be certified NJ uh you know UCF they might not be Community forestry qualified but we can find out they probably are some of I bet some of proba are certain ones have to be yeah so that would be good those are those are by the way I had trouble I didn't one and I was want to do more and I I emailed them I couldn't find the link it was and I'm pretty good with link I wasn't in emails the link was dead I email I emailed directly to the people offering it no response it was cricket wait what was this the course you me yeah to continue with the course to continue to do more of it I kept getting like just which course was this the first one I took and continue there were more available and I couldn't you mean you mean the one you took live so to speak yeah only the live ones count yeah I know I took a live one and I wanted to take there were more live on schedules and I wanted to take more and they were like I think you'll get another you should get another email from them now no I mean they haven't happened yet I don't think they happened once every whatever for example there's another one I saw but it wasn't from them it was from someone else I saw one that had to do with um anyway I'll pass that out to everyone okay did you ever find out about whether or not the that program identifying trees in the winter counts yeah yeah you took that too yeah but I well that would have been three of us then there was no way to usually some of these ones have a thing in that particular one in that particular one in that particular one when I signed up for it when I registered for it it asked me what you want to for NJ UCF cus and what town are you in and what county okay when I the girl to ask her about this at D she said well I don't think we've quite got that figured out yet but no but if we tell her we took it she'll take our word for it okay so I watched it yes so so got three so it would be three you know I watch you watched it too I saw things a few last year or the year before the same guy who works for asan did did some stuff you know and it's funny he went to go all these various trees he going when we got to the Oaks he got bogged down so I went to the second show he didn't finish the Oaks in the second show he's rambling on and on on yeah I thought he rambl like me was just like me got weed anyways but cus I think will be in very good shape without having to in De I mean this is like a miracle here we are it's January and we already nowhere finished the see years as opposed to December 15th I wonder if we're going to make it was always there you go that was always so I'll take this as a win year okay uh so free removal applications and so on so forth Bill tell us the story about how we're doing and what's going on if you have any thoughts on that I've been working with Kim to try and streamline a method where we can pull out the numbers and reconcile them the problem is the program that they use jungle lasers gives you a quantitative number but it doesn't break it out so for example in the month of January we had um 18 single trade removals and then there were four more that were two or three there were two that are associated with a subdivision on larwood one property has 18 trees on it the other one is 47 now they will come under the Community Development guidelines in terms of uh payment to the tree fund and replacement and that's delineated as one for one replacement maybe two two and one2 inch trees or one 4 in tree for a payment of $350 into the tree front at this point in time I've been trying to schedule a meeting with this individual for almost a month to tell me exactly what he's proposing we know what has to come out it's broken up into two lots one is the retention Basin the other is the first home which would be on the North West corner of the property closest to L uh um keeps postponing the meeting I don't know what's going these were these planning board or this is planning board this is a subdivision so that's why it's that um my personal opinion is I think the fee for the tree is too low I think we know that we're but but it it I believe I said last month it is legal uh Mr Brown the mayor myself and the planning board attorney he researched it came back said guess doesn't sound equable the courts recognized it's legal so that's that doesn't say you can't change it we know that so the question is but would would it retroactively apply to that no it would not because it it is only um has to be in place when the thing is adopted now the one it might apply to is the proposed Church property on and on the end of Asbury Avenue Asbury there's over 300 trees in there that won't take out now admittedly a lot of them are scrub Pine and things like that but it's still the number it doesn't there's no differentiation or value assigned to the tree if it's over the threshold 3 but the ordinance for them also says it still say it still says 6 in trees it all will depend it was carried at the last zoning meeting this is the Zoning Board of adjustment thing not plann yeah I think that but if it's when they I think the date they apply is I would guess if they go to court probably the date that that that is it change the rules after that would be once they put in their application I think they br but but the whole thing with that try to get but I me it's hard to get an A Change see what's going on right the life so it's not good but I mean a year ago I said why they why can't we just go in because they the regular homeowner ordinance is [Music] $750 right whatever for your incremental steps 750 per increment right or uh two trees three trees four trees five trees okay so that so because that's if you you know because it was ridiculous you know when they were doing the toall brothers and everything else they were taking out so many you know even a three was a joke and then they gave him a different kind of break I W even going to discuss right now there's two ways of looking at trees right in the Ordinance one says how much have you taken them out the other one says if the properties like the Sahara Desert there's a minimum you have to put in and that was sort of what they charged them the equivalent of the minimum even though they really took out 10 times as many trees okay that one kind of upset me but the point but it was still only 350 which still was ridiculous then and this is how many years later they built all those homes already right they still we haven't done anything course everyone said well it's hard to change in ordinance but just changing the dollar value is something that I don't think it even it wouldn't even be Kickback from the normal people was we're not changing anything else and then at least when the 100 Crees go down okay we would have another say 400 time 100 is $440,000 so what are you proposing I think I think we should make that number match what's in the regular ordinance in the commercial well we're still waiting for the state guidelines so that we can have one and only one ordinance that covers everything yeah but by the time we get to by the time we get that finished off because as I understand from everything I'm hearing towns that already have their own ordinances no one's going to neag them about anything longer much long a period of time even though you want to get there the people they're going to be trying to get on the state people who have no ordinances about anything that's really why they're trying to do this or the main function they claim at least okay probably some alterior motive somewhere but we'll get to that later you know but in the meantime uh our our ordinance we've got an ordinance that's functional you know you just want to change dollar values assigned I think that's something that can be done very quickly of course if you want there's other things we want they might want to change but at least that one is just one little one this much ink and but meanwhile people just still paying $350 every time they take down a tree 100 trees you know how many you say you take them down 80 some more trees so if they say they want to pay for all of them course there's no say they're doing enough there's no room to put them whatever it is blah blah blah doing then have to pay the difference they're going to pay 350 and if we done this 6 months ago they'd be paying 750 so you want to bring the developer price from the 350 to 750 yeah as a a simple amendment to an existing ordinance right and do that regardless of how long the state thing takes for their piece to come out yeah because even though the numbers are going to be up to the towns anyway this is far this is like a functionality kind of thing well it's not exactly 750 it's as as Bill said it's there's a there's a table like this in the in the St ordinates no and it's one in the St and it's just a matter of taking this I'm saying is this table what I'm saying is if we try to do that to begin with okay it's going to be it's not going to be like that at the very minimum you can change it to something that's just sounds like a reasonable number period you know I agree with you're saying that complicates it but we'll talk to you later we'll keep moving I don't think it complicates it and it's going to be discussed environmental commission is discussing this on the agenda tonight well right of conversation right okay so let's let's move along here now what does it take to move to put this in place and get it moving well we'll find out let's try let's we'll come back to this at least have some more time okay so um so by the way so all those trees you know so can we when you we can't pull out whether that tree that was taken down Single Tree was taken down whether it was a dead tree or a life tree from the not without physically going and pulling the permit opening the permit up and read the per okay so why can't we figure out a way theoretically to have a spreadsheet of some kind get super straightforward that send we'll figure we'll come up with a commed maybe on the Shader commission or something you a copy of every permit yeah I mean the permit it has de Dam right so a matter datab data it's a matter yeah your program and everything database is useless right I wouldn't say the database is useless I would say the database lacks detail it doesn't maybe lack the appropriate detail and as of now I have not been able to get a concrete answer from Folks at jungle lasers as to how they could do that but don't forget these are not trees that are presently under the shade trees review they're not on public land these are all private residential trees correct so when this ordinance gets changed depending on how the state delineates the uh Administration and enforcement of it they may require some things but as of today we don't have any indication of what that's going to be no but what I'm saying for right now our own ordinance you know we've got we've taking down trees we've got an ordinance we're taking down trees and we want to know some stuff about the trees that are coming down when I say we I don't mean just the sh commission I mean the environmental commission too I think other people in town if we talk about it we'd want to know are these all dead trees that are coming down are these live trees coming down so if you exported the jungle laser report could you supplement that even though that means manually somebody going into the permits and pulling and supplementing that data in an Excel sheet yeah well the point is what I'm saying is Bill Bill has no time to go to the bathroom theoretically okay okay me told me and I blew the point is the point is but if we just this we the Shater commission could take that Ru on run a million permits a week or someone else could right now we're run could very very low volume from say mid April to Mid October it is anywhere from a real busy week might be 25 28 permits but it runs say 15 to 25 permits in a week and that makes sense because the population is increased almost doubles in the S and also construction and everything the construction end of it most of the time when you see the the single number one tree it's usually a dead tree when you see the four trees it's usually three dead ones and a live one because that's what they're permitting now if you get up near say 6 S8 that's when you start to get a little suspicious okay are there three live ones in there and X number of dead disease Decay dying which is a permitted activity they can have 20 trees if they dead that's correct there is no limit on the dead trees and it's still $100 fee because it's a permit processing fee it's an application fee much like if you want to put in a generator you got the filing fee is X instruction official will tell you what we'll tell you what difference but but the issue is just that we would like to know for example I don't know that it's physic the methodology exists right now them they can only take down three live trees in three years so they come in with a permit for five trees they five dead trees or they two dread trees and three live trees in which case the guy can't take another tree down it's alive for three more years three more years and you need a medium to determine that he already did three so you don't right that's what you're asking address well if you take a year ago and we had a meeting uh the manager's office I said look here's an Excel spreadsheet where you you can keep track of all of this and sort by lot block number and then um the township engineer Greg blash says oh we can do that right so he said he would create a system for that and now all of a sudden it's in Jungle laser so I don't know something fell through the cracks they very shortly to m starting last February they had shifted they went from Jungle lasers to another system and back to Jungle lasers and the other system just proved to be way too unwieldy for everything that was going on in the Construction office it just did not work on a number of levels forget the trees but everything else was a big problem um yeah Bill b we can't do I don't want to spend the night on this what I'm saying well you're asking questions I'm trying to answer I'm saying is there has to be a way Ken already had a spreadsheet who's going to do it I'll find someone to do it the Boy Scouts will do it let's say no you're not giv then you'd have to open request every single one of those time you can't just give it to them why can't I give them the information to do it because you're going to give them a physical permit that's a Township document that's logged in you I don't know that you can do that that's a that's I will take all that humongous amount of data off every permit personally okay and put down that on this address there were five trees and two of them were dead that I'm just saying was that form that you talked about can consistent with what the conversation is now of course and why can't we go back to that for nobody do it the man there's the answer right there no first of all Greg BL said that they would do it and obviously they would do it for a fee and he said it shouldn't cost much that's right that's his words you said that shouldn't cost too much what happened to all of that because no one's ever talked to him again well seems like a good starting point the conversation and how was that conversation weird he just had to walk into the room at the time we were talking about it it's freaky and you were in his backyard he said that's my stuff I'll do it right and then he didn't no no one no one followed up with him hey he made a commitment no he didn't make a commitment he said he could do it but no one asked him to do it oh and who's going to ask him and when well we're going to try and find it out why can't we decide now who's going to do it I'll do it Jack you do it I'll do it I'll find out yes see we can figure out what and I'll find out what is releasable on a endorsed permit and who can see it and who cannot okay good I'll ask for a sample of the general report also put it right the permit in general to build great credit he's pointed out how pathetic our is okay because on the permit you you can't tell a lot of things out you know you just have you know what I'm saying things like that like for example it doesn't even ask the people why are they taking this tree in you know so but you don't need to do it you don't need to explanation why I want to take this tree out no but all these other TS have that on your do they as for the one thing you're talking about it seems like we just need to a program that will do with so when he puts it in there it's in there it's broken down the way you want it so it's a matter he's not when you you don't else is actually entering this in jum so like for that number that doesn't break out live Deb that's the problem so you would have to go the hard copy permit for that break out okay I'm tracking now I got it I got so the trick is to to actually do keep track of before it goes into well this this could be exported this this definitely looks like an Excel or a database of some type this lasers I took it right out of there yeah this is probably CVS okay Terry has the ball right let's move on let's move on to you don't have by the next meeting you'll have that answer I'll to you with week so we have we have the steward stewardship plan okay so we got the stewardship plan and um B Resource Group is the name they use instead J trees whatever you know whatever but it's the same people and they've gone out and done this so there are a bunch of things we were going to get right we're going to get a survey of so many trees they're going to do I think I somewhere we had a miscommunication so they're actually doing a version of a configuration Community forry Management plan for us which I think if I was aware that we were going that far you know maybe we would have got through more treat you know we might have done something with them but that's where we stand right now and that should be done you know this coming month you but the whole project is supposed to be done in about a month okay and uh and for what it's worth everyone who can remember keep track of how many hours you sping I'm not sure I have to find out exactly to what detail they hour minutes of what day and all that talking about it every meeting you know out people G out counting trees my question this include the free time we did counting trees anything anything anything you did that somehow relates to this whole Grant you know after eight whatever it is data I'll get the data okay so anyway that has to be so that's what we stand with that okay now part of that Grant is this dav's got this treekeeper software all right now right now there's a we there's a site you can go to online it's Ocean Township nj. green. uher treekeeper you've emailed that to us I don't think I spent that that I only got that only got that information what's the link again oan what it's Ocean Township spelled out MJ wa somewhere I got that written is it TWP or Township written now okay Ocean Township NJ do treekeeper one word.com and that'll take you to a page where you can there's a place to log in and soone and so forth but if you don't even log in this is what we'll put on the website at some if you don't even log in you can look at the maps of the town and all the trees that they survey okay and you can zoom in and you can click on a tree and it'll tell you but about all you'll get you'll get a few small particulars about the tree but you won't get the whole thing with all the data like what kind of Health it's in and you know so so I forget where the partitioning for that is okay however there are other levels uh of stuff here is O Township tree.com okay so there's a question mark on the top right if you hit I think if you hit the question mark it'll take you into sort of like a training P you can look at you can sort of play around in there and see what kind of stuff you could do which you won't be able to ever get at any real data okay however I found out that like my I have a admin account on that okay and other people have been giv stuff and I'm not sure who else has an admin account right but I think there's a few people okay an admin person can go in and change data okay but there's something between just roaming the streets and looking at the data and being able to change the data for example the thing that you want to see if is that a healthy tree or not you'll be getting people here will be you'll be getting an account that I can establish I told um that's not called an admin but it's called something other than how many trees for sur give you a number yeah I think it was around 3,000 and that's what everything what so many feet off the roads well well we were using well here's what we did we we didn't get like for example I live in Wayside we did more trees in Wayside was year okay okay so and I was talking to the their the guy who's their frud man today also yeah about we want to find out what what we're going to have to do right you know and so on and so forth we want to do more okay so um but for example some of the properties the problem with the streets is you can't plant trees on in the towns right away on most of the Tre streets anyway okay so I was I want to get them because we want to know what trees that are our responsibility are unsafe and so on and so forth okay so that's a separate issue but as far as places we still can plant that's the schools the par areas that are more wide open and so on and so forth okay they're kind of areas like that okay like we spoken to people in colonial Terrace they want to do something to help block the things that aren't trees anymore as Circle back up against that so so so we did we did do pretty much all the parks including Joe play Park you know the town hall and you know so on and so forth we did all those properties we did all the schools which some of which school that has the most big trees on is the Middle School lot there that build you know the gy you know those kind of properties did get surveyed okay now there's a couple of small thinkable Parks here and there you know like on a street corner there's a few things that that would be done when you you know whatever okay and and it's another thing I want to try and get a scout scout TR this is the real Scout project okay to determine the right of way on Ma Street when you know the right of way then you and you see the size of the street I can tell which treets are really in the public right away okay the access to that is through the tax map system and it basically gives you a bunch of PDF map that when you zoom in on a map for the right Street it tells you the right away of that street so big Scout project to me would be to get that take the list of all the streets and identify what the rer has on every street in town and that may VAR on some streets too it do right so do so but the point is the point is that at least that would have helped when we were doing this because we know so right now we were using a thing like about 10t off the curve was the direction that came from Mr Brown Mrs B 10 ft from curve it's pretty close you know so it's in most most cases it's close in my case like in my town in my street it's like 7 and a half but that's a wider Street than a lot of the other streets so you're kind of going into training a little bit you're going into section B here is there going to be a time you sent out an email with some dates right well I sent out a thing I sent out a thing and you'll be amazed to know that I got zero responses to this asking about what kind of times people do okay so the training session there's two problem there's a problem with the training session the problem is that once we had three us on this on board it becomes a public meeting for some reason okay which is totally annoying Beyond Comprehension okay the so we got to figure out so I was talking to the guy who's going to do the you're actually going to do the training uh also and the training is a three-hour thing it's usually does it on uh Google meets it's what he usually does it um could be like a webinar you wanted to change the you know how many people because Google meets everyone can talk walk up and so on and so forth you know it's kind of like a zoom you could make it more like that if you wanted to and only certain people could ask questions okay and it has to be 8 to 5 the training will be from 8 to 5: on a weekday kind of thing well I would suggest that that you know the people who are I mean I know that I'm going to be fine probably with just the the data RIT large you know like a little bit more access that I could have without the training I can figure that out already but there are people for instance like Ken and yourself I don't know who whoever else here would really want to dive into more of the details of this that would maybe benefit I also training if you've got an issue of how many people that's what we should consider who's going to actually use right and I didn't get a chance I didn't get a chance to ask him if they're going to record this session that we could have people could sit through it but one at a time kind of a thing you know just to see what people talked about and so on so forth right the second thing is if we're going to have a few people here maybe at Town Hall like like on the screen here I have to talk to Tracy and find what the rules of engagement are for that you know but but even then if people call in it's same three people but you have to make an announcement I think like have to make announcement till 24 hours before you know I have to figure that one out but I want but we want to get that done somewhere in the next uh you know before the last week February next two or three weeks from so uh maybe I should send another one out just ask okay you know who thinks they want to participate and not and and then maybe I'll just do it and especially if we get the recording you and we go from there and and they're going to show us how to use it and in three hours how what kind of expert are going to be anyway you know but the things but to see all the data that are actually giving us right and how we can export it and what what and basic things so when it we're we're planting some trees hey we want to put them in there right away you know and so on and soth and I'm I'm interested in the the potential of this program of what else it could be lose for to deter storm water and a lot of other things and carbon absorption there's other things this program can do it's pretty sophisticated and I that part really appeals to me to find out what the other environmental impacts are of this and I wonder if there's someone you want to invite somebody from the environmental commission since that a make a quum to also be able to access this I think it would benefit people on the environmental commission um to to also learn how to use this this data I think it's beneficial right that could work in fact that on both commissions misses that up a bit to be nice three three but that's a five Forum person that's five people for you you may want to before just a thought you may want not even to call it a shade tree meeting but call it a course on treee keeper youd have to run that by they there I think but if you're taking a course and there's no shade tree commission business being you know undertaken you never call a meeting to order it's not a public meeting it's of course I don't I I'm just saying it might be worth investigating loophole might have found a loophole treachery and deceit we'll get it done I mean I don't know that I know if you have a meeting where you are because it's a third party running it correct if you are if you have a a quorum of whatever it is you have to notice it but I do believe there's something and I can't put my finger on if you aren't transacting business we're all there at one time but some else yeah I I think that there is like it's a good thinking they go this league of municipalities stuff everybody has do you know there a million fors at those I I I think that that's the way around it if it's a class and they can delineate who is eligible for the class you make your own rules I think and that might be your loophole this software we're paying money we pay money to have this software one of the reasons we chos so I think everybody definely but if it they're okay just a really dumb question why not just notice it well I I no but notice with being it's it's going to be it's going to be on Google meets then they get the link to Google meets anyone can show up okay well I don't know but I don't think the the company doing it would rather just well I think that's another parameter we have how would they feel about they've obviously done this before with other municipality what have they done ask them how other towns have done it there's your answer right there I think the other towns don't worry about the stuff that we we well no that's you don't wor these guys all right another D question then the municipality has the zoom webinar feature if it's a software that we already PID for can they just use our platform to present and then the public can attend there is no requirement for this type of a meeting that the public have an opportunity to speak just that they have an opportunity to attend and so they can attend and find what the rules are that kind of stuff that's the answer right there that's how we do all our okay so all right so now we're running down to zero time here okay so we wanted to talk about the Tre ordinance combinations we sort of brushed on them okay um it's going to be discussed again I assum at the environmental commission meeting three or not the agenda we it to March on the agenda okay okay that okay so anyway uh but the fact is there's a state ordinance and we have our ordinance you know and uh see where that goes okay and um and Bill's doing a lot of work between the permit and looking at ordinances in other towns also you know mostly permits the latest thing was permits in other towns every one of those Municipal ordinances that I up I could take a look that municipality is three uh permit is attached to it some are very simple they and some have are simple but they have a lot more information than is available for ours and quite selfishly and I'll admit it if we get more descriptive stuff on what I go into the field with it's going to make my life a lot easier it may also make it easier to have a way to provide the data you're looking for in terms of you know X percentage was construction X percentage was live trees that a homeowner wanted out for whatever reason and X percentage was dead trees and there's since I've been here I haven't seen one thing from a golf course so I think that is a nonstarter Because unless something drastic happens I can't see that being a big number between the the two golf courses in town we haven't had one tree permit now they're doing some tree work on the municipal golf course it's good some Hazard trees are being taken out um so I think if we find a way to address those three the dead disease Decay dying Hazard construction which requires m you get three more than three you got to mitigate according to the schedule that's fine and then residential which is the three yeah odly enough bill now you said that I find it hard to believe that those two golf courses I've not had any trees that they took that I didn't say that I said I have not seen a permit right that's my point well I don't know but I I just saying you done any work for Hollywood or in the last couple years I don't remember don't lie me are you are you going to be in politics off now no um okay but if it is I don't think it's a big number I really don't because I haven't during the winter is when golf coures do their work obviously um and I haven't seen a whole lot of golf course construction going on and I do look few years ago they spent a lot a lot of money Keys greens you got to do a lot of work trees probably de yeah but they still have to file no no I'm just pointing out though but I mean I have not seen one come in I know that all right can I just move that the the tree planting guide get pushed up in the agenda for that's what I going to say next time but I want to request I want to request that everybody okay and and people send out in a SE remind me to put out a separate little thing to everybody that everybody would you the uh sh tree commission tree planning guide so that we can have anybody need a real a real discussion about it next all right anyone had enough I'll to okay anyone want to second that we beat we beat we at Le three said we wanted responded to the yes remember where I am and why I'm there EnV
