##VIDEO ID:YPSKghDTeH8## e e [Music] hi Janette he Susan thanks for agreeing to lead this meeting chair this meeting thanks for getting this agenda ready because I I went on just a little while ago like H I wonder if we have an agenda or we can kind of just for the most part we could have probably flown by the seat of our pants because it's the usual ual stuff yeah but I I think officially we need although it's it's I don't know if we've actually filed it so I guess next time we have to make sure we do that that's what it looked like it said on the ACT on the calendar did it I always go into the zoom through the calendar I don't know yeah I um well I will check what it says I filled it out and send it in the way I was supposed to oh okay so then um maybe I will double I will double check tonight to make sure I did it right okay um all right so I know like with with the different meetings I do I know this one has a little bit more um uh processed so please correct me if uh if I miss anything so it's uh 5:30 on December 11th and we should get our COA meeting started because it looks like we there's the possibility we make get bumped off by the lake wola meting which is happening at 6:30 yes I chair and said please don't come on before we will finish up by 6:29 but there are there's there's space for two meetings um okay as I understand it so let's see if we don't pumped off we're okay right right right um okay so was that okay for starting the meeting yes sure so um I I'm not the best at share screen but I I um opened up the uh nine uh September minutes and the November minutes so maybe I'll get lucky wait a sec you need to call the rooll oh there we go see already um so um what what what's the verbage for that just gu I guess I'm the first okay yeah so gray here and then uh I think it was be Susan or would it be if we go alphabetically it's Jessica next okay sorry I had to unmute I didn't realize it was muting make peace here millinger here and Stockton here okay and now I am now going to open up the minutes hopefully for oh I did it okay so this is the uh Council on Aging minutes for oh wait this is November I'm supposed to be doing uh September well you've shown us September did I yep okay yeah I I struggle with this um so um oh there we go so September uh 11th so um do we just kind of give a quick peek at these well theoretically everybody looked at them ahead of time okay so take quick peek and see if people will ask if people want to take a look okay so um if anybody had noticed something after after the fact although we're not supposed to change anything um at that point um so I'm just scrolling through um and it looks like if no one has any um problems with it we can um vote to um approve these minutes so motion to approve the minutes of September 11th COA meeting and going through a roll call again I think we need a second for the RO for the motion sorry that's okay I second or someone else has to Second yeah I'll second all right and now comes the roll call which Janice will start with Ray I make peace I millinger I and Stockton I um and then I'm going to close this one um and open up the November ones so again you had sent them out uh I think a couple weeks ago um and asked for any thoughts so theoretically we've all taken a look at this um and any changes have been made uh if necessary um but I am swiftly scrolling through that was gray here there was a question that Susan had asked that wasn't answered was that in the red on this page that I've just put up I'm trying to I'm trying to see which minutes I'm supposed to be looking at right now uh well I have them up can you not see them on the screen tiny are they yeah can you enlarge them were beautiful in terms of visib readability I there is Big they're they're like eight and a half by 11 size for me are they not for you no huh um well I'll see if I can zoom in did that change anything they set at 25 and a quarter and a half percent under Zoom so if you can go up to their left hand and increase the zoom to 100% we could see them wait wait this is still a September minutes um no I I oh you know what I might might have needed to share them okay so uh again apologies here we go this is hopefully going to do it okay it's all there we go how about those beautiful all right in fact I made them really big so now I can make them a little smaller all right so that was just a matter of sharing the second one good all right so uh I will um start at the beginning again then on this draft um and I would imagine that any question that had come up is probably in Red so when I get to the I believe third page we will see this information so it was about the public health nurse I believe and the it says the information will be in the next Village neighbors letter gray can answer that okay terrific is it is on the website now I finally got information um and uh the public health nurse has the information as well um and Susan put it in the town announce okay so should we correct these minutes or um before we approve them or can can we just assume that that will happen after the fact I remember this coming up a couple months ago yeah I will just say um that it was posted on Town announce and the information was given to the public health nurse and not bother to say who did it okay no okay you app if you approve that change and the other one we can just approve the minutes as amended when we get around to approving okay so one paragraph down from there we have a question about Communications um and Martha fa will ensure we all have access to the email account did this happen um I remember her saying that I think she was trying to actually do some finalize some COA business and I don't think she's even able to get on there anymore so I so I'll just strike that sentence okay it and I'll add in unanticipated business that I'm working with bred Steinberg and he's going to put us all on oh okay great great great great so um motion to accept the minutes of um November 13th I believe it was um I need a second on that back all right so all in favor uh Janice if you would start gray I make PE I oh sorry Milling or I and Stockton I so the minutes have been approved all right so those two things are done I'm going to now hopefully close these um and get back to my normal screen um without losing anybody stop share and yay here you are all back all right so that was number one number two um moving on to financial um Jessica do you have uh anything to report for us yes I do so I have a couple things um first of all um I I actually had mentioned it to um Susan when I sent over the minutes the form that I was given to do the financial reports is not working very well now that we have money coming in with the donations money going out we have um the fiscal year 25 account we have the donation account for the foot care and we have the grant account so when I'm removing when I'm deducting all the money you can't really tell what I'm doing unless you're me because I know where it's coming from so what I was hoping that I could get done is to make an easier form that shows the money that we take in every month for the Foot Care and shows clearly where the money is removed from for each thing that gets paid and I don't know what I need from the committee to do that if I'm able to do that or we have to approve something for that I'm not sure all right well I'm gonna have to throw that out then to people who might know better than I well if you want a formal approval I think we would be happy to you a formal approval but I think you go ahead and make a new form just I just like you can't understand it a person looking at it two months down the road won't be able to understand it right so go ahead and make right so if I can clarify where everything is going in and out and just make it easier overall because the form is really kind of um that makes perfect sense and and Common Sense is something we should we should certainly go with so I would say yes unless there's some kind of uh process we have to that well I didn't want to overstep anything that's been done for so many years and you know you're doing you're doing it now and and you're seeing that it would be more clear for everybody um can I just ask a question while we are talking about money um have we gotten our our state grant for we get it twice a year yes we got the first installment of um 3,000 actually it was $4 4,282 in which we had to take a th000 right off the top for our back debt um for the foot clinics for the last couple of months um this month we started out with $3,280 um available to spend and um with the library Fitness classes the pamphlet print printing for the birthday um the the Massachusetts Council on Aging dues and the townwide um birthday donation we now have $2,412 58 um we also brought in $100 only for the Foot Care Clinic o for the month of November and the bill came to $440 all right well we're going to be talking about the Foot Clinic in about two so thank you for that information as we move into that okay so the the donation account had $424 into it from the month before and November totaling together so only $16 of that came out of the grant fund this month we have zero balance in the donation amount now and I had taken the um the pamphlet the $75 pamphlet um printing for the birthday party and I took that out of the the town budget Martha said that that's used for like supplies and and stuff like that that you know we can use that for that so I did take I did use that for from the the budget that we get from the town okay how how much is in that budget from the town total for the it's $200 and right now it's at 125 okay um so there was know that we were getting it until um she had told us when we met with the accountant and um she had taken the year before and just rolled it into our our debt that we were recurring um back in June so we had we had it but they just used it for you know so we'll be getting that every year with the town um with the town budget we get that a lotted amount okay okay oh that's good to know um so um do we you just had wanted to tell us about that but is there anything else to approve or or move on no no I just wanted to explain where what we spent where we spent it was a lot of spending last month but we were we were playing catchup right right of course there was Susan Janice had her hands up a hand up a little while ago and then I have something to add sorry I totally missed that yeah so just this is gray here and I just want to assure Jessica I joined the Council on Aging in uh I guess end of May 2019 I always had trouble following the good I'm glad I'm not the only one I think you'll improve it yeah okay okay that's terrific thank you for sharing that Susan Okay well first of all Jessica are you gonna send me um this information because it went by so fast that I didn't get it all down I did send it to you oh okay I did look to see if you'd send it to me sorry I sent it to you yesterday with the email saying I hope I attached it oh okay I'm sry yeah with with the email saying that um I would like to see if I could um um re revise the the form okay for all these numbers that you've been giving us because I did write them down if you need them all right guys I didn't double check thanks okay I just on the safe side why don't I make a motion that the treasurer is free to make a new new form to record our financial updates I that so let's vote second I second that so the vote is gray I oh make ey millinger ey and Stockton eye all right terrific um moving on now since we were just speaking about it it happens to be right here the Foot Clinic which um if it keeps going the way it's going um really eats up a lot of our budget um and you know I I I don't know if we want to discuss that or if we just want to keep letting it slide but I know that I just had a meeting with the uh I might have even mentioned this with the coas um from New Salem and Leverett and um I sort of represented and then um Nancy spittle from um from Wendell and um no one seems to have as much of a empty basket as we have um so I don't know it's something we want to discuss as to how we can uh be a little more firm in our in our asking or if we just let it slide I okay millinger here I do not think we should let it slide I think we should okay good science that we cannot afford to keep up the the Foot Clinic unless people start contributing more that we're sorry to have to ask them but um people are pay giving us less than they did uh before right right and the bills are larger and the bills are larger um what we could do is let people know that and this could simply be a way of uh framing the problem but say that I know that New Salem had switched to a much less expensive service without the medical specialty of um you know a food care nurse but rather just someone who kind of just does a little bit of uh what do they call it almost clipping clipping nails and a quick look and we're going to be moving to that because it's it's like $15 a pop unless people also you know maybe maybe and and maybe people won't care they'll just be like fine whatever but uh just to um sort of compare how they since I know how the four different coas Do It um Leverett is is pretty strong with their people and they say it's it's please the bill is is $55 we would like people to give between 35 and 55 if you have some real financial concern that it's difficult then you should talk to the woman who is running the the clinic and and I think they would be open to that but to have people putting $2 in a basket when the service is $55 um just seems like it's it's limiting what we can do as as a group if anyone else would like to put in their two cents so I I definitely agree with that um I don't know that um I don't know how we would do it because I know that Sue gomberg has already said she wants no part of that okay and and you know she's just volunteering to do just you know to be there to to do the appointments and everything and you know to ask her to do that and she knowing she doesn't feel uncomfortable so I don't know how we would have finagle something I don't know so she doesn't want a strong arm um but perhaps we could put it in some kind of discreet letter that we hand to each person that's coming through and just say this is the reality if you want us to be able to keep performing this more professional service you need to anti up a little bit and you know if it helps two or three people to feel uh a slight bit of uh remorse um I don't want to go so far as guilt that would certainly help matters what do we think about that Susan so Jessica did you have the impression that Sue is opposed to it being done or just that she does no that she just doesn't want to be the one to implement that okay so that that's um then I think something me I think your suggestion is good one Janette that we give everybody a a a little a letter and it says we can't afford we can't keep it up as it is and here are the two options we go to a pedicurist everybody contributes more the what you suggested I mean I I could ask Fay who's the person who does that in lever and say how did you sort of Institute that expectation being being um uh sort of that people were like okay we're going to give $35 because we've been sort of it's been suggested very strong strongly and then perhaps do you know when the next Foot Clinic is anybody yeah it's next Wednesday next Wednesday um and do we know if it if there's a full uh a full um listing of people mberg does that yeah but you could tells she all right um all right so I'm going to suggest then unless anyone has trouble with it that we we should have be em motion that we draft a letter that would encourage people a little more strongly and but not only suggest it a little more strong but let them know why I mean we can give them how much is our annual budget and over half of it is going to uh toes so if you want your toes taken care of very well in the future um you need to throw a little more in the basket and even if a few people um anti up it'll be better than what we're getting now so we draft a letter I don't think it can be done by this month but perhaps by next month well I would suggest um is is this a motion that you just made well I was thinking should it be a motion yeah I think oh definitely it needs to be a motion okay okay so I make a motion then that by the January um meeting of the COA we have a letter to look at to approve that suggests that we need a little more help from clients at the Foot Clinic I think I think it needs to be more detailed than that I think it needs to say more what you were suggesting in the motion yeah um or in the letter itself I think it needs to be a little more directive to the person who's writing up the letter okay who who's going to be writing the letter because I was GNA I I I would be happy to do it um I think I'm hoping you will I will I will so I don't think we need to then go into detail yeah you you have you have more knowledge of what the other towns have have said to their to their um people I think that that yeah if they had a sample letter to share with you or something you know all right so um I make a motion then to have um a letter written um that details our concerns as a COA um to to encourage people to support financially um their role as clients how second all right uh roll call right I make pie I millinger I and Stockton I all right anything else about the Foot Clinic we want to talk about I mean it was the first topic chosen for this joint meeting of the four coas and Village neighbors it was a big burning topic for everybody um followed by lunch which is our next um so it's not like we're the only people with the problem Susan so what other what problems were other people having well New Salem um as you know we had that one person from New Salem who wasn't happy with the fact that she was just getting you know a little bit of pedicuring rather than a full um I mean we're still giving a full Medical workup I mean it's it's it's a beautiful thing but it's also bankrupting us so they're hearing a little bit from their people that oh it's not good enough um Leverett they have a full house I mean she has a waiting list and they are giving between 35 and $55 each of those people um each client so we just handle things different ways I can't quite remember uh Wendell you know they they've been running their foot clinic for a long time now and I think that they have um a more of a full service if I remember correctly okay did I answer your question Susan yeah thank you yeah okay I I I think jica was saying and if not I will say that it it's would be helpful to refer to what the other towns are doing okay both the the cheapest pedicure option to see if that appeals to people or the 35 to 55 bucks that lever Leverett no Leverett has the same um person doing it that we have and I'm not sure about Lind I just can't remember so I'll just fact check those um and I've got a at least a month to do that so um I I think I should be able to handle that all right um we just had another one of those group topic uh topic group between the four coas Martha came um because she had you know been kind of active in getting our lunch started again um and we had the four towns uh coas talk about how they all do their lunches and it was it was fascinating I mean they're really happy that these topic groups are happening because everybody's getting different ideas and ways how to handle things and we're even going to have Jason Maloney who is the new um age friendly uh life path Guru he came to the Village neighbors board meeting yesterday and he'll be coming to that uh on I think it's uh January 3rd he'll be coming to talk about their the the grant that they have available um which we could even look into but I'm not touching that personally um so it's it's been it's it's I think it's a step in a good direction having that little sort of that mini pod um and great to see what topics everyone is considering important that lunch came up pretty much second Transportation was first and I was just like I I I can't go there yet I have to get warmed up so um lunch how did lunch go yesterday I wasn't able to make it okay I I have a request for you this is a request for me as somebody who's 81 and so it's a request for somebody who's T functioning as a secretary could slow down a little bit J you're delivery is really Speedy I have heard that before and I will attempt to do that my apologies oh than all right so um so lunch tomorrow yesterday I'm sorry lunch Tuesday was J Janice what would you say you're muted muted you're muted I was trying to not be Noy with my phone um we had um a fair number of town folks Town Hall people but we had h a couple of um Outsiders I'm not sure what Tim uh Tom cult cult's uh role is we have one guy um who brought bread and um we we had one table that was full which was good we didn't have other conversations happening at the other tables so it wasn't a big turnout um I don't know what to say I think we had eight people as Janice said it was on one table full and a couple of people two people well uh sort of from town hall came and food and left had to leave yes yeah one one was uh Grace and another was her assistant I think her name is Janette yeah yeah well that wasn't bad for um and I was thinking that the next time it would be a good idea to announce it on Town and now that sound okay to folks I think that's a terrific idea it is a really busy time and it was snowing and the zero fell off the 10 um well the zero was not on the 10 because because um until the day before because um Sally has the letters and numbers for the sandwich board took me a to figure that out and then took me a while to get contact Sally and it took Sally a while to come up and add the number so now I think I'm going to see if she'll let me have the numbers it's easier for me to run down than for her to come up the hill okay and I heard they're a little short on the letter C the letter c and maybe they're we're a little short on zero so at some point we could maybe I could probably whip one or two of them up from some plastic I have in my house that might match if you would want me to that's sure the nice thing about a zero though is you can use an O if you have a spare o this is true yeah in the C's you don't have another replacement m so those are my thoughts about Sally um you remember I took on helping Sally to um organized that set everything up and Janna stayed to help afterwards and Sally and I are going to get together when the weather is warmer because the kitchen chilly an inventory and clean up the kitchen okay sounds good um shall we move on in the agenda sure all right so the next up is transportation um and I know there was just something that came from the COA an email [Music] um from some higher up somewhere um well we sent out is that what you're thinking of yeah was that town announce yes that okay wrote it okay wrote what took it I took it from the most of from the we website which Janice had written okay and and can I just ask what website did it come from it came from now you're going to have to I'm GNA have to look for the guy um a guy from Franklin Regional transfer Authority Michael Michael peralt yes okay he sent it to me apparently he sent it over the summer but he didn't send it to us thought he was but now if you sent to the COA at sch.org doeses not go to all of us um which we're just discovered and so he had sent it to Rita and he had sent it to Becky but we did we never saw it okay sent the whole thing to me thought I send it to you guys at sta.org but apparently I didn't I can sent it out again um so I adapted it for the website I put it on the little tab part and then Susan took what was on the website and put it into a town announce okay that's great um I mean we we keep publishing things too about Transportation but I've I've I found it I have found the whole process a bit confusing and I and I loved how succinct that was it was like you can get a ond demand ride on from this time to this time you just have to call it was a very well done I wish they all looked like that so thank you um I will say that when I first read it it was not clear to me that this was a curb to curb service um and no one had explained that to us and so I I talked to this guy about it and he said yeah we'll go we can't help you help you into the car but you can you know go to your house which wasn't clear at all on their own website they just talked about these buses that trans travel from through lever up to Greenfield and that's not what we're trying to do so this is different and this is why the deeping thing is why I had my audio off um so I think that's been taken care of um it does make me wonder even though I kind of shudder at the idea of a gizette that we need to get this out in a different format to more people um yes Susan we you and I chatted about this in yeah well I was wondering whether I is somewhere a list of the seniors who do not have who aren't online if we could send out a letter to them they are the people that might be most interested in the program you have a list of the people in town that are not on that are not getting when we when we did the the life path survey I think it was and Joanne had a list of the people who didn't have access to the web to broadband and sent it to them okay from our senior list I'm assuming oh well well okay and and then there there's the idea of repetition that it wouldn't hurt to send this out again and send it out again um and I know that I'll probably put it in our next Village neighbors mailing because as we know not everyone in town um is on Village neighbors um so um we want those people to realize that there are rides out there um and and it will be free or they'll just free until the end of June okay 2025 and what I think happened is this just happened in like mid November and I don't know what that is um and so Becky had probably just left so the packet was on her desk probably hadn't yet had um gab start and and the select board were occupied with other things so we just fell through the cracks okay um but again I think it would be great to uh put that on Town announce a couple times and if at some point we have the opportunity to mail it out that information out um to that select of that select list of people who are not who are mail only um that would be a service that we probably should uh aim to provide it would limit the expense of a mailing right do you then to ask Linda and Joanne where that list is or yeah who has that list um I can do that I'm sort of in touch a little bit with Joanne okay um if you want me to all right so I'm making a to-do list for myself as I offer these things um all right um uh the other thing is we should use this we should use this because if we don't use it we're going to lose it that's what the people in lever are really concern because they were having a little bit of trouble with that their bus route that people you know were having a little bit of trouble finding it and such and you know I'm on lever connects now at this point and um that's what people are concerned about that you know we we finally got the bus we made noise we got the bus now we have to make sure we take the bus so I think the TRU same would be true of us yeah and I think that's millinger here that's going to be an issue because you know remember when we did the survey we um what we found is that most people think uh want the idea of what the heck is that sorry I do not know okay um like the idea of having services available eventually but don't or available but don't feel they're in the need they need to use them right away and we did not get many people responding to the survey the life path survey who were 80 or older which is the group that's going to be most likely to use the service and frankly that is a group that includes me and I'm still using my car but I have thought that maybe just to be on the safe side I should get approval and then you know I can I can tell people I can attest to how easy it is but do um there's a question do you need to um apply to you have fill out an application cend in evidence of your age okay all right um so anything else about Transportation at this time I I I'll just chime in that um the guy from F RTA want to make sure we knew that the access program which is different has not started yet and three people get confused so we only have the demand response okay um well I I would stay tuned for your next um village neighbors email if you are indeed um you know members because I know that we had a whole huge paragraph hopefully outlining some of this stuff um so that might be helpful for some all right moving on to free digital resources I don't know anything about this I don't know uh what this means uh I don't either and this is the problem um we were meeting a day early so tomorrow I'm on a zoom call with Michael deira and um two other people gr what Graham by any chance Graham no uh uh Diane from base State Health with you Michael me Janice Michael deara and Kathy and Kathy is um the director of The Alliance for digital equity and we're meeting on Zoom tomorrow the three of us and I had filled out a questionnaire that I couldn't really fill out because it's meant for large towns that have senior centers with offices and staff but I filled it out as best I could and I sent it in just to get things going and so we'll see what happens tomorrow um Michael said and he wrote this on Saturday there was a meeting yesterday of a few Franklin City count towns that were interested in implementing cyber seniors piggybacking on what GCC has put in place the alliance and burog have been part of these discussions not sure if you or someone else some shy made that meeting and I have not been part of this at all I've completely been out of the loop so I'm going to have to ask tomorrow what is this uh cyber seniors thing that you'd be piggybacking on at G C I don't know okay I I don't believe that this is the same as the village neighbors meeting because it wasn't necessarily but we did talk about uh we had two visitors we had that the new person um U Maloney Jason Maloney and then we had Ted I'm blanking on his last name I want to say Howard and he's from furog and he talked to us for a while about you know digital what's come out planning what to do looking at the action plan that already 2019 that action plan that that left us with those eight domains of what need to be uh changed he talked at length um about um you know how can we how can we demand more for our for our population who you know wants digital literacy uh talking about affordability how can people have um you know a computer if they don't necessarily have $1,000 to spend on one and there are grants out there and he was going to give what he called a warm handoff of whoever was going to take this on at the Village neighbors meeting yesterday and I cannot for the life of me even though I scribble here um remember who to maybe um start to answer some of these requests um Elizabeth Fernandez O'Brien is very active in in pushing for for this digital literacy literacy and kind of this Alliance for digital Equity how can how can we get more the one of the positive things that I think is happening a little bit lately um is some of the libraries around are hosting tech tech time um I I can't rattle them off on the top of my head but I lever it Wendell I'm I'm not sure what's happening in in shutesbury um I think the lever Co-op even has a time is from 8:30 to 10 or something like that right right Maryann has done it in the past she's okay posted several years yeah that's what I I know I don't think there's been anything recently but I'm sure she has um was what Martha did and what did absolutely so it's a call that everyone is asking for oh Janice yes so in this form I had to fill out it didn't seem to apply to us and I'm trying to find find it here I've got too many papers um I was asking you know do you want to buy this equipment rent this equipment uh sell this equipment what and I said we don't know it's too early to ask it possible that we could get some laptops or I don't know what and people could check them out from the library it's possible but I'm speaking only for myself and that's where we left off so I don't really know anything and then in this thing from Michael he says um now that the digital Town's digital Equity plan is complete I assume Gail and others is responsible is developing the proposal to MBI for implementation funds I don't know anything about Gail never heard her say anything to me I've been kind of out of the picture so I'm not my has been out of the picture totally except that is picked up in the meetings and I don't know whether that's because everybody assumes we are have access to mail that comes from COA shoots fairy Co and we don't which is what happened with the transportation letter but there is a meeting tomorrow regarding that there's a meeting of three people on Zoom tomorrow okay so Jan now and Janice you will be there yes okay I said I be the contact person but I I I don't want to be but I don't have any choice okay so well thank you for your service there thank you this is very frustrating to have people assume I know what they're talking about when I I've been out of the well well you do always seem to look like you know what you're doing with that computer in front of you and running the gizette and the newsletter so I think it's just an assumption that if you're doing publishing that you might know a little more than some of us I don't know um anyway thank you for that and we can we just pass on this and say we look forward to there is so there it just seems like there's a lot festering and a lot coming up um that it's not like we're sweeping this under the rug and say I don't worry about those computers and don't worry about people who don't have it I I I I think that you know it's it's it's here it's out there so um I think we can certainly move past this agenda item unless anyone I think I I've told you as much as I know I'll know more tomorrow okay um membership sorry so Janice can report on what she's found next meeting and you can report on you found I think right now one part of the problem is our lack of of knowledge what the hell's going on we're sort of coming into it late but we're coming into it what that's what matters yeah I think that unless you're a big COA like Bernard's 10 which they have practically a butler walking you in the door to feed you lunch when you walk in that place um I think a lot of people are actually in the same boat as us so um let's just you know we're we're listening we're asking and and we'll hopefully know more um moving onwards on the agenda membership so at the lunch yesterday did anyone get up and twirl around and and and say how how nice it would be to have more people on the COA by any chance I think we're more interested in getting more people at the lunch okay okay all right so then this membership that was on the agenda here does that refer to getting more people on the the the COA yes okay it's been on for quite a while it's it's a repeating recurring item that we do nothing about well we're very lucky to have Jessica here um as a new member who is really really doing a lot and doesn't necessarily fall right into our demographic so I think we should feel pleased about that I I think we just have to keep asking we're doing the same thing with the village neighbors board we're we're losing a couple people in May um and um you know I'm I'm whispering people's ears as well yeah I think I think you're right I think the thing to do is we keep we keep thinking about it we keep talking about it a little bit of it and in suggestions so that it's an ongoing theme that we try to work on right it's to have Jessica it's really just one meeting a month um so um hopefully we'll eventually get somebody um so we talked about membership last um before other business is program planning um and I I have nothing to say about this except to say that I'm gonna be in Mexico for uh almost six weeks in January and February I do not want to take something like this on and and and this time of year it just seems as if let's just keep keep doing what we do well and hope for the best that would be what I would say but if anyone else wants to offer other other thoughts you go for it no I I think this is a time for us to regroup and really to try to reach out and get new members so they're more of us to um bear the burden yes with ideas for and maybe we see something that we we think is a good idea especially as you say when I mean I think it's fantastic that this Foot Clinic is is happening even though it's a little expensive I think it's great that we're still contributing to the exercise classes because those are events that continue to go on without you know our constant input and and lunch also I mean I think those are big big victories that we can kind of look and say Hey you know we're we are we are doing things we are running things um all right so feeling good about that decision at this time we'll certainly look at it again maybe in the spring um and get back from Mexico maybe we can talk about what might what might appear to us okay yeah yeah yeah all right so uh last but not least we have other business Susan yeah okay I maybe should have told you this ahead of time um and actually probably should have put it on the agenda but I didn't really know about it I was in talking to Grace about something and she told me we have to have a chair can we have co-chairs well okay this is my response none of us really wants to be chair but I would be willing to be chair if everybody would keep on doing what she's doing would you would you be comfortable still when you're in town chairing meetings because it's a big challenge for me to chair meetings and keep minutes yeah I mean um just so you know I bring my I continue to teach yoga while I'm in Mexico I probably continue to do my Village neighbor meeting I'll probably only have one so I shall plan to be at whatever that next meeting is what will be like February uh because I'll be here for the January oh I was going to be my question thank you yeah it'll just be the um it'll just be February and I'll uh I'll make make sure that I'm not out that evening doing something in Mexico we would meet in January on the 10th okay um okay can you say that again and then it'll be February 15th 14th February wait a second that's I need to look at next year I'm looking at 24 okay so it's January 8th and February 12 the second okay all right so I shall hope to be at the meeting on February 12th I'll um you know I'll 8th yeah and the oh for sure the eth yeah January 8th January 8th so um unless anybody has any other stuff to bring up I think we probably should officially elect me chair okay so is this a motion or uh what does this look like oh I'm not going to move I'm not going to make a motion myself okay so um we uh make a motion to put up Susan miling G it's G or jur G Milling um as our acting cea of the shutesbury COA with all of us continuing to um do as much as we possibly can um anybody want to second that second gray all right roll call Gray I make peace ey minger ey stock and I and thank you very very very very much okay and I realized I'm sorry that there's a piece of lunch in business which I got okay so we can't get out yet apparently I don't remember the details but apparently we moved to the second Tuesday for the lunch temporarily and we were going to go back to the third Tuesday or was it the first oh geez I don't think it was the first I think it was the first because we had the third week we have the fot clinic but we have lunch on the Tuesday we got bumped on the first Tuesday because of the primary election and then general election so he temporarily moved to the second Tuesday we want to go Tuesday um I I guess it would just depend upon if um people who didn't want to have too many things in one week um are if they're utilizing the Foot Clinic they might take that might be difficult for them so I mean looking at us right here um and thinking of who go who comes what would be preferable the first the third that's a good point about the Third t uh Wednesday being fot Clinic okay so the first Tuesday in January would be the 7th oh I'm sorry I'm looking at the wrong year again I actually oh might be the sixth I have a a meeting that night six I think it's the sixth yeah so the next lunch now um would you like me to put that lunch in the village neighbors newsletter yes some of the other coas are asking me to do that that would be great thank you so um I'll do that all right anything else uh we do have four minutes Grace time um were you good yeah I can't think of anything else well how about um uh wishes for a happy happy holiday whatever your holiday is certainly wishing everyone a a happy New Year um we continue our our our good work here all right so um I make a motion to end this meeting of December 11th the COA shutesbury um and I wait a second second so millinger is seconding so now let's take our roll call Gray I Mi thigh minger I Stockton I and to all a good night thank very everybody and thank you particularly Janette for being willing to chare meetings okay and to slow down the volume a little bit I do I'm not the volume but the speed please feel free to say that again I cannot tell you how many times I have heard that in my life not just [Laughter] talking noticed that in yoga class though I don't do it in yoga No although sometimes um I don't know I start to move a little bit fast I think sometimes I don't maybe not no I I find that I do slow down a bit when I'm when I'm doing yoga um uh it's like I'm a different person almost it was a good class today nice full class um so all right well thank you all thank you all thank you bye bye bye bye
