agenda is approval of the minutes for the August 19th regular council meeting and wave the reading of the same so moved second I have a motion and a second any further discussion all in favor signify on the agenda this evening all right seeing no one coming forward we will move on to item number three the consent agenda this evening we are going to set the date and time for an assessment hearing to certifi some unpaid bills we're going to pay some bills and acknowledge the receipt of the commission minutes for parks and wreck from July 11th and that's it for the consent agenda not much on that today uh Mr Mayor but I move that we approve tonight's consent agenda as you listed I'll second I second all right council member so we have a motion in a second any further discussion all in favor say I I I motion carries five 5 all right reports from the council item number four council member Swanson public works thank you Mr Mayor uh the this quarters Public Works meeting which was scheduled for next Tuesday uh at 5:00 has been cancelled due to lack of agenda and that's all I have thank you council member swensson Council memb zener Public Safety commission I believe we meet this Thursday um and I think we're still looking forward new members so if anybody wants to join uh come to the next meeting at City Hall on uh this Thursday all right thank you council member zener council member Conrad planning uh they have not had their last meeting it had been cancelled the next meeting is September 9th at 7 p.m. here at City Hall thank you council member Conrad council member Whit bre hemingson parks and wreck parks and wreck our next meeting is September 12th at 5:30 um we have welcome Natasha Voss to our commission and we're still looking for a couple more um and we are getting dates down for Bunco um don't forget trunk or treat and our sliding event all right thank you council member with BR hemingson council member Conrad Heritage days um we are having a meeting September 9th to go over uh how the event went by all indications are went very well and just to make plans moving forward on what we need to look at or where we need to look for those things we need to look at and that is September 9th at 5:30 p.m. at Heritage Park all right thank you council member Conrad um on to myself and administration I guess all I have to say this evening is I want to thank our public works department and our Public Safety departments for stepping up over few days last week and going forward and all the work that needs to be done and and um put out my uh own personal uh gratitude to staff for um getting on the phone getting together um working together really good to kind of pull together and see how forward we were moving um after last week's storm event and uh to see our citizens stepping up to help each other and my heart goes out to those that were impacted and the Damage I know it's going to be a long haul um we all have do we all have electricity now St Paul Park I think so okay um if not reach out to XL if you still do not have power um remember if you do see a power line down or trees on power lines reach out to XL Energy um the the we do have a map out on our Facebook um I think all the city entities and myself on which days to pick up uh the brush and sticks and Limbs and things like that that Public Works is going out um just to let people know that we did not declare a state of emergency the county did not declare a state of emergency so it did not make much sense for us to uh also our compost is open until September 9th um I think it's pretty much open from um dawn to dusk uh so feel free to use that um we'll continue to keep that open through the 9th for people to throw their compost um if you do have any questions um feel free to reach out to city hall or try to get a hold of Public Works I know those guys are working very hard so they'll get back to you as soon as they can um and feel free to reach out to me stop down the cafe if you have any questions um and we'll see what we can do we're going to get through this our City's strong and we have some good people and it was really very heartening to me to see a
