information visit [Music] uniontown.pa with that I will open up the meeting to the public and a reminder there's a f minute rule please state your name and your address and the microphone is open hi I'm Ruth slovic I'm live at 1700 Patriot Way I have a question about girls night out who sponsors that and what is the focus of it it's a Township event it's to get all the ladies out enjoying an evening so are there like uh activities just for females no no CU we will be there no it's not it's it's a focus mostly for females that's why the boy band uh things like that so uh but it's open to all um I I saw signs for it throughout town I'm not sure where the Union Center is where's the Union Center Union Center right here I mean like right here here right as as you heard my announcement registrations at 5:00 p.m. in front of town hall and you'll just put your name and the events will take place throughout Union Center which is right here right okay that's what I want to confirm um there was mention about avoiding alcohol because it's going to be very hot and that's that's detrimental but I noticed that the girls night out will be having a beer garden so I was wondering if that's something you would consider not having because it's so hot I I think it's the opposite I think some people need to quench their thirst and it's a responsible environment it's a controlled environment um all ABC rules are followed so uh no I understand that and I've mentioned in the past that I think having um beer or alcohol at public events sends a wrong message for certain groups and and especially with girls night out and the fact that it's hot it's a double D issue that I'm concerned about um also I noticed uh in different towns they had um is it National Night Out is T is Union having that as well yes we will be having nationalite out police directors it's August 6 August 6 August 6th from 5: to 9: okay I I forgot to uh announce that thank you for bringing that up okay and that's going to be that'll be at Police Headquarters okay they'll be closing that lot there'll be food music there's a dunk machine there if you feel like dunking your favorite officer um so he he or she will cool off okay um the last thing is um driving around town I've lived here for 18 months now and driving around town especially on Route 22 there's an awful lot of signs that drivers have to look for whether it's directional whether it's a store what have you and I was wondering if there ever was done a study about the amount of s signs in towns and distractions for drivers um sometimes they like I understand the names of businesses but underneath the best specialty shop specialty price for those people you and and it gets smaller and smaller print and I think people don't read that or they want to read it and therefore a distraction when they're driving so I was wondering there's any kind of study done or recommendations or ordinances regarding signs all right the that is State control that's a state highway um believe me as I age I agree with you sometimes over stimulation you know right so uh but besides 22 I mean like like Chestnut Street and Morris Avenue and what have you those we can control but Route 22 especially with the Center Island that is a very busy area it's busy uh with all of the businesses that are there um so unfortunately that's a state controlled uh environment um we can take a look at it but each business wants to have their name out there so that people can stop into their location and certainly I understand the name of the business but it's it's a smaller print you like $999 special and people under 12 this and get this it's just distraction you know probably even unnecessary people don't can't read it because they're driving you know so I was just wondering okay all right thank you very much thank you anyone else seeing n a motion to adjourn move to adjourn second all in favor I have a good evening everyone
