evening just a a brief one I had submitted a letter to the township committee I did it through the website which kind of hard to read then also with Miss Brown I dropped off a copy just want to I'm just here just to make sure you have it so if you don't I can have another copy but if you do then that's yeah yes we're in receipt of it and we will be responding yeah yeah no I just that I just want to make sure you have it that was only thing y we have it all right thank you thank you we we up it's you please state your name um my name is Mariana emo and I live at 475 Mir Avenue um so I first want to say um thank you for recognizing me uh I am really proud very proud um to serve whiteoff on the board of education um for rampo Indian Hills um this is my third year on the board um and uh currently I'm um the vice president and also Lily aison um to the town and um chair of finance and facilities and also on the education and Personnel committee um and I I just want to go ahead and and say um congratulations first and foremost to um Pete mikon um becoming mayor I've gotten to know you over the years and and it's well deserved really happy for you um and then also congratulations to Roger Lane also have gotten to knowing you very well over the last few years and definitely welld deserved um as well um and I'm sure you'll do great things on the Town Council uh and um and I wish you all success in the new year um I must say I've lived in wof now for I think it's about 11 years and um I just I I love living here um it's been great I've I have nothing but great things to say about the town and kudos to kudos to all of you um for you know everything that you do um it's just really well-run and one of the reasons why I um I moved here um and my family is very happy and hopefully we'll be here for uh you know much longer um I uh as a a resident I also want to thank um the the fire department and the police department and EM EMS um I live next door I live next door to the house on Mir Avenue that burnt down um and um I must say I actually walked up to the fire chief earlier um in you know tonight um because I never officially like introduced myself to him just to say thank you so much for everything that you do because the response um to that fire was absolutely incredible um I never seen anything like it and I like it was for me as much as it was a devastating day it was a proud you know moment to like to be a white cofan because really if anything should happen to any of our homes here in whiteoff like the response was just amazing um even from the neighboring town so that says a lot um and and so I I thank you I thank all of them too um and um I just joted I I I jotted down some of the comments that you made and I'll take it back to the Board of Education um as far as you know um ideas or things that you said earlier um and then um as a resident um I'm don't know if you had anything to do with this but uh on 208 the fence um near my house like on 208 that's something new uh this past year and I'm grateful for that because for security reasons uh I think that that fence was very much needed uh because someone could pull up on the side of the road on 208 and jump out and come rob my house and then go back into his car and pull away so I think the fence is great and then also the fact that it's so close to the Middle School um for the kids you know it's they could before they could just walk right up onto the highway if they wanted to and you know that's bad too um and so that's a great thing and uh I've seen like some new signs around town for um speed limit signs like the ones that are battery operated or electric whatever um our street is a is a cut through to Eisenhower and people speed very much down my street and it's dangerous to all the kids that walk to school so I don't know if there's a way to get one on near Avenue but I think for the safety of the kids that bike or walk to school would be a great idea because we don't have any speed limit signs on our street um and there should be because like people drive really fast on my street um and it's a problem um um and I've always been really really happy with the snow plowing all these years but at one of the most recent um uh snowstorms was the first time that my front lawn got pretty beat up so I don't know what happened but um but thank you for all the years that it was awesome you probably had of practice CU of last year they lot of practice I don't know but like I like when the snow melted I was like o like that's looks pretty bad so I don't know what happened but now we put up those uh glow-in-the-dark like stick things that come out of the ground so thank you for doing that because lot of sheets don't have the curbing so it's hard sometimes to I know they don't I know so like I said everything's been awesome um but I don't know what happened it must have just been a fluke uh so uh appreciate all the work that you do thank you thank you for your comments seeing and hearing no one else I move to close public comment second Mr boa yes Mr Lane I Mr Madigan yes Mr Shanley yes and mayor melon yes with an affirmative vote the
