Jessica could you please introduce sure so this is state representative Chris again and um they are joining us here today to hear about some of the things that we've been working on some of the things that we're doing for the town of Yarmouth um you were nice enough to come to our fundraiser back in December so we had talked a little bit about what the disability commission has been up to very interesting um so yes thank you so much for coming today thank you for having will and me we're we're excited to be here and uh looking forward to hearing how we can help support the great work that you're doing too so yeah so thank you for having us thank you thank you thank you introduction to everybody here correct yes and the one thing that I will add kind of a disclaimer similar to one that like w is he angry could still be angry I don't think so I hopefully we won't make you angry but I appreciate that into everything if you feel that you want to interject something just raise your hand and then we'll stop and you can you know it's going to be kind question and answering but we really do have a lot on the agenda so we're trying to do it all anyway um does anyone wish to make any changes to the agenda um I move to uh put on the agenda the web page updates Jean Bole and Gail sheret term limits the expired in 2027 ready wish to second that the second thank you remember second thank you thank you so um is that okay to dos the motion okay oh we have to do aoll no we don't we don't have to do a roll call we have all members present in person so for any voting we can we can just vote today because we're all here no one's remote it's only if you have people on remote those in favor say I close you guys have it okay the motion passes thank you I begin I would like to know has everyone had a chance to read the email Sarah and I had sent out asking because I am asking because we will be voting on a few of them today if you were not able to do so please abstain from voting today thank you tracker like to just mention that before we take a vote I wish to mention how grateful and appreciative I am for Sarah and Donna's input in producing this letter it will be filed in the YC chair person's handbook and use a template for future correspondence I'm waiting on a motion from the floor on accepting this letter as written this is the letter to Quest Diagnostics correct I know that we accept the letter as [Music] reest second thing I we need to vote that's okay those in favor say I I those oppose say n the eyes have it motion passes second thing can I just may I interject just for the purposes of the people who maybe don't come to the meetings all the time so one of the things that the um Yarmouth Commission on disability does is on our website we have the ability for members of the of the town to um submit a form you know a typical kind of contact us form and if they have a concern they can submit it through the website and it comes to the chair and myself and um sometimes they're things that are like um not really like a they're not out of compliance you know what I mean because the building maybe was built a long time ago and so they're not necessarily out of compliance so our Building Commissioner wouldn't site them with a code violation but um but they may be not set up in the best possible way for someone who has a disability so um Quest kind of falls into that category we've had a couple people um you know come to us with some concerns one of which was a building code violation which they have fixed um however there are you know there's still some concerns about people's ability to kind of get into the building easily if they have a disability so um this board is not an enforcement board or anything so we try to educate the community and the businesses about ways that they can better serve people with disabilities so that kind of the tone you'll see the letter in the packet but that's kind of the tone of the letter and kind of the the basis of how this all kind of came about I just think it's helpful to have a little background as to you do have that letter correct um on the track we also have the Mr Shields are there any updates on that I do not have updates on that apologize okay okay in the air TR do we have to wait though for the building inspector because I saw yellow tape up there just the other day I'm sorry I will I promise I will follow up with the building yellow why is there yellow tape I didn't see the yellow tape when I went by so I by like a couple of days ago all right let me I'll follow up with the building department I I apologize that thank you and then the last one is the um Sharkies and I thought at the last meeting it was left that um we were going to look at who the property owner was through the assessor's office so I didn't know that was on me was that on me well that was on whoever had the U business addresses that when they were sending out you information yeah and again I remember right that address as an LLC so I don't know if I was supposed to do something with that would you like me to ask the Building Commissioner if they know yeah I can do that too yeah that' be good you know somebody that yeah because we don't know right they a lot of times they know right off the top of their head it's not yeah I can ask them no problem so we're going to be moving on to the initiatives and the um Community Access moning and that's Cam and um Jean and Drew have been very busy and I've been very productive and we have to say thank you very much for all the hard work that you've done and Chris NE cam yes uh cam is Community Access monitoring okay which means that um we go out and we will assess a building to see if it is Ada compli any problems with it uh they write them down and then they send a report in to Sarah who in turns gives it to the uh Town Administrator and right now we're just doing public buildings okay we're assessing um quite a few of them and have all the reports on what we're doing one question I have is uh does the town have an updated um accessibility report they we that's something we need um yeah it is something that we're it's on our radar we actually applied for a grant last year and we unfortunately didn't get it so because of that reason or um no for to actually to have one read you know a new one done our our um you should let me know when you apply for Grants okay the state yes it was yeah it was um it was a report through or I mean a grant through the state to have an updated um transition plan created you know to to hire someone to do that our transition plan interestingly enough is not whenever it was done which I'm sure was a long time ago it was it was like incorporated into other documents for each um Department versus having an all-inclusive transition plan that was townwide so it's a little cumbersome to kind of like find all the information because it's like embedded in the recreation department and this department into documents that they have so it's not that we didn't have one it's just that it's now it's years later and it's um you know kind of difficult to pull all the information together and sort of know where we stand because of the way it was done before so yeah transition reporting so it's actually very similar to what um Jean and Drew have been working on um it's it's basically assessing where we are as it relates to ADA compliance and then coming up with a plan to get us fully compliant okay just for 10wn parts that this what we're referring to is for the town yeah yeah so what this is what what um so I don't know if you know that mass ett's Commission on disability they offer a lot of training and one of the trainings they do is called Community Access monitoring Y and um people can go through this training and Jean we're fortunate Jean um has been really involved with commissions on disability in previous to Yarmouth in Barnstable for many years and so she has experienced with this and has been through this training as um so what we decided was um we're really trying to focus on on education as a committee we don't want to um alienate our businesses in any way but we want to make sure that we're giving them information to allow them to be more compliant um so we walk a little bit of a line there because we're not really an enforcement organization but we do want to you know Assist them so what we decided to do is this is something in barible that they did um and they actually created a booklet that show showed which um uh restaurants as an example were um fully you know up to Snuff I guess you know because I don't want to use ADA Compliant because you can be um ADA Compliant based on when you were built you know what I mean um and so but in in discussing this what we decided to do was to if we were going to go and ask businesses if they wanted um us to do this for them that we would start with Town building and just get a you know like practice what we're preaching a little bit in terms of making sure that we know where our weaknesses are and we are creating plans to you know um deal with those you know weaknesses and so um Jean and Drew have done four so far at you know the two libraries the senior center and I believe are the four you've done so far um where the Chamber of Commerce is located in the recreation department right oh that's right thank you um so it's great because um I was able to provide the information to our facili person and Our Town Administrator and our um Public Works um assistant director so that they can be aware of you know where some of the needs are and you know with the intent that um they would plan for that in their capital budget planning to to be able and you know potentially apply for Grants or what have you that would um resolve some of these issues um and the good news is so far so good there's nothing like terrible that we we've got going on so that's that's the good news but we do have some places that we can we can work on so yeah and please do uh let me know when you apply for Grants particularly for state grants okay because you know we'll I'll write a letter of support but I'll also call them to tell them you know why it's important so so okay um you know feel free don't be shy about reaching out if we can that can be helpful or I could be helpful in anyway great thank you I have a question uh Sarah uh the transition plan towards adx compliance is that like a state mandate that each town has to kind of I mean you need you you need to really have something in place because you need to be able to a lot of Grants require it you know so you you need to have there's certain requirements in Grants that you have that's one of them and um you know having um housing production plan and um like a conservation plan open space it's that level of thing there to your point it's a many different plans and I for I feel like it's like a comprehensive I think the actual term of it where it compasses all of it is like a comprehensive Town something yeah yeah but the accessibility or transition plan is going to be important because I think part of undergoing that process is it actually spells out in dollars like what the town would need to invest in in order to U make buildings more accessible okay yeah and by by having this at least this part of the project that's helping it along because that's giving an eye opener and then when we apply to our grant we now have some kind of meat to give them that's right that's why and they know you're serious right that's right that's right that's why important so Drew and I have been visiting a town building once a week and we plan to be ready in the summer I don't know if we'll do it maybe some of our might the par the beaches Recreation get so that's where it's all at thank you very much G and thank you very much Drew yeah Drew's been great he has little thing to measure the pressure on the door do interesting yeah it is it's good so as we move along uh the chamber and the um YC and initiative updates I know they're probably on any right now but at least you can fill G you can fill Chris in on what we've done that would be kind of useful go ahead and share what we talked about yeah well we talked this morning and we thought the second phase would be this fall where we would reach out again tell them what you plan to do marry to the well I think what the chamber could do is as a positive um campaign with the business we do have people that are uh trained with Cam this is something that we're offering as a service some us to come in and help do this evaluation and provide you with a report and then you know I think through the chambers newsletter we could give those rights right you know let's thank let's say scall for doing such an amazing job they're not only are they compliance they go above and beyond right and it's nice to even talk to some of these businesses just U my brother works at the hospital so he deals with all of this a lot of the times you know just talking to the business how do you deal with someone who comes in that may have a a who may be blind right how do you accommodate them in the service especially during tourism season right how do you accommodate someone who's de you have anything that accommodates them you know and finding those things out about our businesses that we don't even know about right because they probably um very accommodating so we thought Jean and I thought we could come up with work on a plan and then maybe introduce that in the fall once we get through the peak season and learn more about what our business Community is actually doing I think that's great and if there was a way to um I was thinking about what jean you know was saying you did in Barnstable and now I know that was a number of years ago and now things are so much more online that I'm been wondering if in your member list online if if there was some little emblem or something that we could um include that that gave them sort of kudos for having you know certain accommodations in place or something like that me that could help us create a little like logo we um in the past I had been talking about in western Mass when we did something similar but it was with a composting program we actually branded the businesses that were composting they had a logo they put it on their door on the decal they put it on menus you know and you could do something similar with this so again it becomes something that's that's a positive positive exactly and for tourists who are looking for right you know and I can SAR to that that I always check if I can get to the steps you know if there steps I you know how many are there and stuff like that so it's really important I find it to be very very important at accessibility otherwise you know you're running around looking at in thank you very much for that update um as we move on can I sorry can I step back for a second so just like again I'm sorry you guys just bear with me but so the what this is what this is referring to as far as the the chamber yod initiative is um this fall we actually took the assessor list and every um commercial property we sent them a letter just from from this commission and gave them uh front and back you know kind of one pager on what was required to be accessible and you know just again like more of an educational but these are these are the requirements and um you know just information and we also included um some information about a grant right we included the grant thing right or we didn't okay never mind we didn't do that what we did do is on the top of the letter was I believe the town seal and the chamber's logo so it show showed us a joint effort right that we were working collaboratively and Jean and I uh had drafted a letter that was very positive you know thank you we hope you had a great season um and then just again to Sarah's Point reinforcing the education you know we put in data that there's a a certain percentage of people that live in Barnesville County that have a disability and these are your consumers so you know basically saying it's very important that this demographic of your population is considered you know I'm always um and I know this group always hears me but um and you don't know this but I have a disability so when I was younger and in a wheelchair it was um very difficult for me to get around retail stores so that's my thing when I go into a retail store can a wheelchair get through so again it's making that point and educating the business owners make the space accommodating for everyone right I think we did a really good job on the letter well in addition to the letter we also had a page with measurements according to the Ada how wide your doorway is uh a stall a handicap stall in the restroom count to a so on and then we had another page on um parking handicap parking right what's really amazing about this is that most people want to do the right thing but they don't know what the right thing is so the fact that you're giving them tools and telling them you know this is how you can be more accessible to folks I think is really impressive work thank you impressive work thank you we have a good group here are we moving on yeah sorry okay we're gonna Buzz through this one this is the age friendly um Healthcare updates um basically what we're going to do is Gan and I were there last year this is a venue that um is at the senior center and um we had a table and we had an array of different items like um a poster and then we passed out our um bookmarks that we gave them and we gave little treat and you know we just talked to everybody this year um we're going to add something special to it Jean doesn't know it yet but I put it I put it this way um it's going to be a focus on the ycd web page the concern section and the resource section it's under construction we will present it at the March meeting anyone who has any thoughts please email me or Jean and we'll be busy working on it and basically what it is is let's come up with a way that we can inform the public about you know like we need them to tell us what what's going on we want their eyes are very important to let us know so we can create initiatives to go out and do what we need to do you know like little things like for instance and I'll just give you one quick one um one of the um small businesses had um didn't have any accessible chairs You' never think of that right right when this one lady she just saw like several um people that should be sitting down but they weren't sitting down she says Dear why don't you sit down and the lady says if I sit down I won't be able to get up that really stuck to all of us it was just such a minor little thing but it meant so much so that's with you know these little things that it's not not a lot of money it's not even talking about money it's just talking about just like you said putting a different pair of eyes on and seeing through the lenses so that's what we're trying to do and that was a bit that was like a success we did a letter similar to the one here just stating that this was brought to our attention and and we heard right back from them that they had bought instead of like three chairs without arms they had five with arms you know what I mean so they like took care of it and it was a place that you you know it's a place that you go and you wait in line you know soever um small things can be big things right yeah so it was good and we also follow up with the person that you know gave us that insight to go forward and also we thank the um first you know the company and like the last one I'll just give this one this one's a real good one this was the Moby chairs the Moby wheelchairs beach chairs this is a $20,000 investment and we need play side chairs and um through well doesn't matter how we got there but you know it was just like bumping into people I just have them but idea is that it was done and it was because of one individual again it only took one person that that one person made a big difference which is very unusual but you know what though it one person can make a difference and I'll share a very brief story because I know you have a meeting to go to so in Brewster which is another time I represent um a woman called me to let me know that the post office isn't that accessible there and there's only one post office in Brewster so that's a federal building so I don't have any real jurisdiction over that but I reached out to Congressman King's office to figure out how they can you know make that post office more accessible it's because of that one woman who had you know who mentioned it and I think what you're doing through um cam is great but um I mentioned that story too because it's great that you're looking at municipal buildings but if there are other public buildings like you know either State Properties or federal properties like a post office you know feel free to you know don't be shy about letting us know you know if they're inaccessible or not or not as accessible as they could be because know we can work with them to try and make the changes that need be made that is so thank you for that yeah all right so as we move along um we're getting into the uh milestone and this was a project that um Mary had done such a wonderful job on and it was um the Milestone is a news a newsletter that's put out by a senior center and Mary had um we we're in it every other every other month we write a little article and Mary was given a task and and she did a great job with it it was to um in highlight um an individual like you know a human interest story and I G to see Gretchen and I talked to her about it and gave her all my you know information and try to get her like it's a long information you know was a long story that she had a print so we knew that maybe we weren't going to get it well we didn't we're not going to get that but she did come up with something so that's even more important he has an alternative and the alternative um was very simp it said you know you can just m make the the story a mini story but then have a reference like either it's called a a QR code or a we web link for readers to access this content so you know what I did that um I come up with a little story that will you know that will take care of it I took two paragraphs of yours Mary and I just Incorporated that and then I said something about if you want to read more you know um is it going to our website it's going to go to our website and we have to figure I don't know how to do that I do okay good so you got you know you can figure that out for me and that'll be great so we we took care of that representing what it was was a story um the chamber actually hired someone in theun oh um I forgot do you know the name of the program but it's where employers hire some of um clients from Community Connection Employment Services program thank you so she's worked for us three a year she's a seasonal employee she works in the visitor center but you know people kept telling us through this program through Community connections what a great resources this program was for employers or short staff and we just had such a fantastic experience with Christina that we featured um her in the article and just talked about that there's so many people out there that are willing to be employed and work in our business community and that that particular program was something that was beneficial that others should consider so and Christina is just so proud of herself that she was going to be in that article so I hope that's I hope they can get her photo in because that would well what we're well this is the article that I I propos I was going to beet with you afterwards okay for your approval and then you can add anything you want if you want to get a picture in there this would be great so it's basically what you wrote and I just you know cut it down to two pages two paragraphs okay we can put the full thing on the website yeah yeah yeah and then just yeah nice to have the picture in the actual mileston just everything to her and I'll make sure I'll do yeah but that that's something to really try foren it's not like to continue reading this delightful interest story go to www. w yam m468 for the rest of the story thank you for looking and basically it's just to encourage them you know but we can create a QR code too oh good yeah and a link just just the link right to the article I need to have this by tomorrow morning I have to give it to them okay do you want me to give this to you then yeah it's good next thing relates to me and Jean huh on the agenda yeah the cam Artic you want us to write an article for the next Edition is that yes um let me see that was my second P [Music] yeah I'd like to ignore it because it sounds kind of hard well it just got really easy because they want it to be really short so there you go and uh could you just remind us when the deadline is yes I'll get all the information to you when is it is itch always it's always the um let's see now one month before like you know okay so it be April 1 yeah okay and I usually it's good to have it a week before but I don't I guess it I don't excuse me I should say it does not matter because I didn't hear from her till Tuesday and I gave it to her weeks before that's got the idea so whatever yeah okay so we're all done there the conflict of interest this is very simple and Sarah can just um Breeze through it we want to make sure everybody yeah so um I think you're all familiar because we do this every couple years the state conflict of interest training um Everybody did it I believe last year um the full training which was watching some videos um and acknowledging those um so this year really it's logging in again and um you just have you're going to get a summary of the conflict of interest that you just need to read and owledge so it's not you know it the the full training takes like an hour this takes like probably 10 minutes so um easy peasy if you haven't done it yet just if you can make sure you do it you get one of these yeah put on your wall but seriously it doesn't take long but I I have to have a account of who has who has done there so far okay so there okay so just so Jessica you had a link to it correct I'll give you the link again and uh Drew I'll give you the link too so I'll send that yeah okay cool and we'll be all done we'll be all concl all right so we can move on to the next one right yep anual report Sarah you know we just finished the annual report right and and everybody has a copy of it we just want to share that with everybody so we can move on from there yeah we discussed it last meeting I think it's pretty straightforward and then the next one is the um the ycd procedures this is something that um we've been working on forever used to be called the bylaws but it is now called the procedures and basically what it is is procedures and it helps uh new members as well as me standing members and we boiled it down to basically um two four pages and it gives you all the information you need on the role of being a a commission member and what is expected of us and but the last page on page three is where I want to focus on the conflict of interest law because of it changing I'm not being um Boston changed it or I should said Mass whoever yeah theyed extra P to um sorry the change the the um complete online Pro um training program so I wanted to reference that and also I wanted to make sure that everybody knew about the read and acknowledgement summary okay before we used to have a t town clerk used to be involved not and then the last part is sections three the procedures um I want to go over this because we're going to vote on this so we can get this all done yes the commission may I please okay the commission shall thank you the commission shall maintain these procedures and review every two years the next one is um on section one notice a public meeting of the proposed amendment shall be held at y Cod business meeting section two is vote to amend number one these procedures may be amended by a 2/3 majority vote and then the final approv required from the select board and Town Administrator or just the select this town admin no these are your own this is not a townwide these are your own disability commission procedures um so you don't need anyone's approval okay as long as they're not as long as they don't go against what the board and commission you've just pulled information from other documents so no you don't need to have okay thank so should we we have to vote on that anyway right or do we have to so can I did you just send these like a day ago yeah so I'm gonna be honest I be I think you should put that to the next meeting and let only and okay keep changing so got to give people time to yeah g to be instead of the binder so I've read the binder and we were saying how that was a lot is this the binder no the binder is in addition the binder has other information this is just a condensed version of that of the blue book that the um yeah that the town gives out yeah I mean we may not even need the binder but I think that um we could talk about that later you know it's not a big deal this was good I read it okay you're making five forgetting no no no no no that's okay and you're going to Florida I'm gonna make sure you take that with you and read it okay the last one is the handbook this is a handbook as you all know I well this is my handbook this is my chairman book and what I do is I keep everything in there that um hopefully the next chairperson they can use it to their discuss and it's the templates and just organized and just it's a it's a filing system very organized you know I'm not even that organized in my own my own office but I'm organized here I don't mean to interrupt but I should probably get going um but very impressed by the work that you all are doing uh we want to support the great work that you're doing so please again don't be shy about reaching out and I think the as I was sitting here listening to the conversation you know you're helping so many people who may not feel like they have a voice and I think there's something really powerful in that thank you um so yeah you know keep up the great work and please let me know um how I can support the work that you're doing especially with GR okay great going tomorrow you'll see me there too yes ma' we're all thank you so always great to see you thank you thank you for including thank you very [Music] much okay so anyway um so like I said this was the handbook right and um suggestion sure and people may disagree with me but maybe this will help in the future if we know we're GNA want to vote on something you put on the agenda like oh that's smart vote because if I would have known M that you wanted to vote on this I would have made it a priority to like get be helpful yeah write that down Drew because I'm forget it please I just because I Fine Mary I should do that because I have to be respectful of people that are working you know what I mean like you know people that not working I didn't even see your email till last night at 9:30 but you know because I mean you know so I I understand that you know there was so much paper to print out and I have a lousy little printer so I couldn't print it on so I didn't read everything you know well then I maybe this is not going to work out but I thought possibly that it would help Sarah instead of making all these copies if it if we all just took a little bit of our own responsibility initiative and printed our own if you can't print it it's hard because a lot of people don't have it's fine to it's it's what about if you well people that can't do that just contact Sarah and she'll take care of it that would be good right but also I just think if it was on the agenda that she knew it was a vote she would have I think that's a very smart suggestion just in and of itself to alert us what needs to be voted on because okay I don't really have that in mind have a good grasp on that okay begin with we'll do that right Sarah yep y okay thank you thanks so apparently yeah what I thought did not work out well okay try to work for me I did good it was very helpful to have it all in advance yeah okay so anyway but this one here is called the interest in becoming a ycd member now I friend here John he is he is really thinking about right you're gonna join excellent I didn't have the the in all the information I gave you something I hope it was useful did you go through what I gave you at all or did you even have a chance yet I don't think I did okay okay so I don't know how we're gonna I'm G have to next time call you but basically what it is is that it just has all the information of um how to you know what to look for where to go what you know right so I'm going to put that in um in our bookl as well see we're moving along pretty good that's good and the last one is the minutes I have anything else we're not done yet all right don't you did you have Seaside Festival in October that's right we have several other things yeah okay hold on let me see what I Seaside I'll jump in about so last year we talked about it but it was really close to October right and then um but anyways the website is up they're going to open things up as of April 1 so at that time I'll contact them if we want to get a table I'll get the information and then people can decide it's a matter fee and things like that yeah and they typically do we'll see if you know sometimes how it goes yeah nonprofit things interaction with them yeah so but I'll find out what it cost if it cost and then we talked about last year having it similar to the health fair at the senior center but then including things like if cord wanted to have a flyer capabilities or Community Connection or hat um habilitation assistance Club I did reach out to habilitation assistance cour because that's where my daughter goes and the director there is excited about it um interested in maybe attending one of our meetings at some point you repeat that agency that you talk habilitation assistance court right that has the same thing as housing assistance court right totally different it is totally different so it's process that and a trans ation compitation and their interest there they'd like to come to a meeting they you'd like to observe a meeting because I mentioned that and um they' like to come to the seaside festival or at least have their brochure and maybe their applications for employment displayed if that's something that we want to do so we have time to think about what we want my goal in my head is to really know what we want by June and then when I'm reaching out to anyone who wants to provide brochures or anything we can find out what the person wants to actually attend with us or whether the person just wants to give us literature and then for us to approve who we want involved you know like okay we know these are reputable people um we don't want to give anything El that we can't I have a question say a little bit about I have a question what who goes to this I never been to the seaside I mean Seaside Festival it's townwide yeah all over the places a lot of the tourists come just for that weekend it's a very large it's over Columbus Day weekend yeah so I I guess one qu one thing I'm just going to put out there is that I think one of the barriers to doing this in the past was that it is a I believe three or 4 day commitment so it's different than is it just two I think it's just two Saturday Sunday okay so anyway same same point holds true that it's it's a it's a you know it's we have to be mindful of what that commitment is I'm always away Columbus Day weekend so I will I can say that I will not be here I am also but this is the year that I am and last year I was too um this is the year that you're going to be I but they're open like full day you know it would be a commitment of having people so between set up breakdown you're probably talking 16 to 20 hours that somebody has to be man in that cable or that boo so I'm just putting that out there to make sure before you go through the effort of you know I just I just don't know if that we did need to be yeah okay I can tell you we work with this inside vest very closely over 12 and 13th that we would need to have the boots open and they're open it's a long day oh it's got be it goes till into the evening yeah I think it's like 9 well probably 9 either about everything open but I think they EV like to six or something I mean if you go to their website right now it's already up there I'm just putting that out there for thought because a lot of time just sit so so done tons of trade shows decades if you want people to come to your booth you can't just have brochures you have to have an activity a giveaway um like even when the chamber has done trade shows we've had like an ader on chair right so like it's a giveaway so people come they give you their name and then there's a drawing at L leer but otherwise it's really hard if you don't have an activity for people to even come to your booth like that's why what did we do that we had a bowl of candy and we got a lot of kids running back and forth yeah you had bought a bunch of plastic sand pills oh sand yeah so were a huge hit but it was hard getting people to sit and listen to some things but usually that's how right so maybe next month before April comes for people to think about and if there are other people such as loation assistance goer capabilities if they're willing to send a person is that okay to so that yeah eventally they would send someone to do at least part of the day or maybe they would have people on staff I know they have to do volunteer hours and Outreach um because I think it's gon totally agree and I'm just I'm just thinking that if it's going to be a yarn with commission on disability table you probably need to have someone from this committee there even if these other organizations are going to come at various times there's also a fe there also is a there's a 75 she was gonna give it to us $75 you know this is going to be the same time frame as um the awareness right October awareness correct and I think that's why it came up last year I didn't realized anyone had actually investigated what I was thinking if we don't go that route okay see I can't unfortunately I cannot help out because I cannot walk on grass it's impossible for me to walk and I don't have a scooter and I'm not GNA get one I don't want to go back come on no I don't want to be just rent one for two days just a joke but um I like the idea but then again I say to myself I can see us doing like little kind of venues like you know like maybe going into like the Library like you know a Saturday afternoon and reading a story to the children like a coloring book I had um I I had seen a lady that is that is a teacher okay at a at a Cardy okay I that's probably in okay anyway she's a teacher there and she's a reading teacher I goes really I goes other great since she told me you know prek to third grade and I goes GE you know what we have some coloring books St coloring books would you be interested in you know reading them to the children um how many F you have told I can I can give you those she said to me she says D you would not believe it she says they were so excited they were they were just like jumping out of joy and this is this is something like that we can do just small little things like this that we're getting the children we're educating the children on kindness and and acceptance and it doesn't take much time I mean and all of us can sit I can sit for sure you just read a little story and you know and I have the little you know the dolls to give them you know to show them you know do you have copies of that I certainly do oh you haven't okay I'll bring it next time you uh tell the age what are the age of those particular kids they she decided to do like um preschool not not kindergarten and that first grade right and and then she to the teachers too right and I just said you know if you want to make a copy of like we'll say you know one of the illustrations out of the book and then read the book I said let me know and I'll reach out to the GS that the you young ladies that actually had written the book because that's Cy written so you know have to get their approval so that's that's so I have some books left and I had to you guys right and and I gave some to you um but we're going to do another run on him and when we do another run on him we're changing the back that's going to say we're going to focus on that and we're going to ask the um the town for some funding to produce the books and I think that is very very powerful I know that the last time that we had SE what select how say select board the select board um we um they were very interested they were like shocked that you know this book was here so that was a good thing that they got to see it so I think that they will approve it you know so we just have to ask them and you know it doesn't so just so you know that you don't need to go through the select board that would go through me through the Town Administrator you don't have to go to the select board every time you're they don't we have a budget that the Town Administrator oversees I didn't okay yeah yeah Oh you mean he can approve yes should have been done last time then unfortunately it wasn't okay but now it's now it is done so that's good so um and then you know we have the um School in in Brewster is it Brewster yeah the uh trade school I for read oh the how how yeah they they they will produce it for us they have all the information I could just ask the girls if it's so so that's something that we can do to yeah can we keep going sorry we gotta we stalled really quickly there all right um the next one is I think we've discussed I think we're up to 14 yeah no we're on number 15 we already well s right we'll do 14 again aging the U age disability age aging disability a lot of people are going for it does everybody know where it is no the Double Tree Hil it's a I'll pick you up if you wantan offering to pick I'll pick you up okay we're gonna and we could say how many people going because I'll save it I'll save seats I can't go I think everybody said me it's reserved you can't say yeah they sold out yeah we are over capacity by like 20 people I needan taable right I mean don't we have to sit don't we have a seat they already they they have you already oh they already have we're oh yeah oh that's even better I don't know sign seting oh it doesn't matter set you'll all get it okay all right at nild table I'm I'm getting there a quarter on I think we're up to 15 now yep ccrta future speaker you're Mar uh just we have us a representative in the regional transit Authority coming in next month um we got the date right finally in the last email I gave and I agree next month so we have the contact the week before we could just reach out to okay okay that's awesome Bravo number 15 is the uh we I think we talked about the web page update that was Sarah was going to take care of that thank you 16 and then
