Councilwoman Judy Cusick introduced an ordinance proposing a 3.91% increase in water rates and a 3.96% increase in sewer rates for the year 2024. The Public and Governmental Relations report featured announcements of events and meetings, including submissions for the Ramsey Journal, the Ramsey Chamber of Commerce networking event, and the Ramsey Municipal Alliance meeting. Likewise, the Pool Commission’s meeting on member rates and the Board of Health’s Wellness speaker series, including a presentation on tickborne illnesses, were announced.

The Health, Education, and Social Services report highlighted recreational and cultural events like the Valentine’s Day Dance and basketball programs, as well as an art night at the Ramsey Community Center. The Environmental Commission’s report on the food scrap pilot and compost program showed the borough’s initiative in sustainable waste management.

The Borough Administrator discussed various resolutions, such as the authorization of a driveway permit, the appointment of a full-time Department of Public Works employee, and emergency repair works. A professional service contract for design and construction document services for Municipal Aid projects was also mentioned. Moreover, the council addressed the upcoming property tax revaluation and the 2024 Municipal budget planning, key financial issues that have a direct impact on residents.
