The student representative provided an update on various activities and preparations across schools, including the Yale’s readiness for ELA MCAS testing, the JCS’s successful attempt at setting a national record for puzzles completed, and upcoming events at the high school such as a STEAM community event, prom, spring musical, and an opportunity fair.

Further into the meeting, the committee addressed the appointment of Robert Kimble to the Permanent Building Committee. The Board of Selectmen had already approved Mr. Kimble, and the school committee followed suit without dissent.

The Superintendent Evaluation process was another point of discussion. The committee outlined the methodology and timeline for evaluating the superintendent’s performance.

Additionally, the committee reviewed and voted on the new Reeds Collaborative agreement, which was updated solely to include the two new school districts into the collaborative.
