There was a consensus on the need for increased promotion, especially with the approach of summer and the upcoming council application period. The Youth Council hopes to engage with students by visiting high schools and discussing their concerns.

Councilwoman Cari Sharmat proposed a community service project to screen social action movies, which could address various issues and raise awareness. Although the idea was well-received, moving forward without a liaison remains a challenge.

In terms of fundraising, the council discussed organizing a car wash, but without a liaison, they are unable to finalize details such as date and security arrangements. Concerns were raised about insurance for the event and the possibility of partnering with a council member to cover costs.

The council also debated the creation of a newsletter to raise awareness for city initiatives and the Youth Council’s activities. However, due to the absence of updates and the inability to schedule meetings, progress on this front has been limited.
