During the meeting, the board unanimously approved the minutes from previous meetings held on February 8th and February 22nd of 2024, with minor amendments including the correction of a board member’s name. A brief discussion ensued regarding the clarity of a statement from a previous presentation, which was clarified to better reflect the presenter’s commentary on the impact of commercial space expansion on residential areas amidst a housing crisis.

Following the approval of minutes, the acting chair read the description of the postponed public hearing and announced the new date for the continued hearing, as agreed upon by the board members, the applicant, and the chair who will preside over the next meeting. The board then moved to vote on the continuance, which carried unanimously.

In other business, it was announced that future meetings will be quite busy with several petitions anticipated for review, including a continued hearing for a solar project and another for a flag lot issue, which previously raised concerns about lighting and stormwater management.

Additionally, the board acknowledged the appointments of full and associate members, with congratulations extended to those whose roles were confirmed by the Community Resources Committee and the Town Council.
