Resident Kate Stutzel questioned the strategy behind the budgeted decrease in legal fees and requested clarification on the borough’s spending. Another resident, Mr. Todd, inquired about the status of the borough hall project and the potential recouping of architect fees. He also sought information on legal fees related to ongoing lawsuits, emphasizing the community’s interest in the borough’s fiscal management.

The council’s discussion further delved into the contentious redevelopment project initiated by a previous administration. The current administration is considering legal action to hold the redeveloper accountable for project delays and the potential unjust enrichment at the borough’s expense.
