Further, the Board approved a reserve fund transfer of $686.76 to tackle the septic and plumbing issues at the Council on Aging building, an unexpected but necessary expenditure due to the system’s lack of maintenance over five years. The negative balance in the related account necessitated this immediate action.

The fiscal year 2025 budget review was another focus, with the approval of budgets for Inspectional Services and Recreation, alongside an amendment to the library budget due to a clerical error. Additionally, several articles were fine-tuned for the upcoming town meeting, including funding for various town projects and a senior community service program that compensates elder residents for services with vouchers to offset property taxes.
