The retirement of Fire Chief Luigi Tramontana was the focal point of the meeting. Chief Tramontana was honored for his decades-long service with a commemorative resolution and a Thin Red Line flag.

In other significant business, the Council approved an amendment to the collective bargaining agreement with the Fireman’s Mutual Benevolent Association Local 49, covering the period from January 2022 through December 2029. This amendment reflects ongoing efforts to support the city’s firefighters and ensure their welfare.

The Council also appointed William McCaffery as the new municipal tax collector through an ordinance. This appointment is part of Vineland’s strategy to ensure effective financial oversight and municipal operations.

Several resolutions were addressed, including one supporting a water quality management plan amendment submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
