The council debated the generator’s long-term utility and considered the potential cost of installing a solar generator, which was deemed prohibitively expensive.

Following the discussion on the grant, the council moved on to Resolution G2, concerning a variance request for a pool on Northeast 85th Street. Adam Simon, the applicant, sought approval for the pool to be closer to the front yard than typically allowed by Miami-Dade County regulations.
