The policy on the acceptance of gifts was examined, with input from the Director of Finance, Barbie Racler, who recommended no changes. Similarly, the policy regarding the distribution of materials on school district property by non-school persons was reviewed and forwarded to the school board without any modifications. The policy committee also discussed the policy pertaining to the use of school facilities and equipment. It was noted that this policy, which is unique to Faribault and not an MSBA policy, governs the use of school spaces by community or external groups. Some changes were proposed, including ensuring that sufficient notice is given for space rental requests, and specifying requirements for advance approval of flyers by the community education department.

Additionally, the board evaluated policies on extracurricular transportation, video surveillance, equal access to school facilities, waste reduction and recycling, and health and safety. Most of these policies saw minimal adjustments, primarily involving clarification of language or the removal of outdated legal references. The board decided to forward all reviewed policies to the school board for further consideration.
