These contracts included a notable cost of living increase, enhanced parental rights for new parents, and adjustments for paraprofessionals. The agreements reflect a collaborative effort between the school administration and the union, and were described as a product of extensive negotiation and compromise. The committee’s approval was met with expressions of gratitude to the union leadership and negotiating team for their dedication and cooperation over the past 13 to 14 months.

The meeting also addressed upcoming student activities, with a report from the student representative highlighting recent and planned events. November saw a successful Scholastic Book Fair, open house, and a senior class fundraiser through a powder puff football game. December events included cap and gown measurements and the commencement of a winter spirit week, featuring themed dress days designed to engage students.

In other business, the committee approved out-of-state travel for student athletes, including a ski and snowboard trip to New Hampshire and a boys volleyball trip to Rhode Island. Both trips required committee approval due to crossing state lines. Additionally, the committee designated certain equipment as surplus, allowing for its disposal or repurposing.
