Farmington Planning Commission Bids Farewell to Longtime Member LeeAnn Lehto
- Meeting Overview:
During the recent Farmington Planning Commission meeting, the withdrawal of the combined preliminary and final plat for the Aan Null development was accepted after several continuations. Additionally, the commission discussed and recommended approval of the Meadow View Preserve second edition final plat. The meeting concluded with a farewell to commissioner LeeAnn Lehto, who is stepping down after serving since 2019.
The most notable development from the meeting was the acceptance of the withdrawal application for the Aan Null combined preliminary and final plat. The applicant and city staff agreed that the withdrawal was necessary as utility decisions for the development are still pending. This decision allows the applicant to reapply once these issues are resolved.
The second major topic of discussion was the Meadow View Preserve second edition final plat, which involves the development of 75 single-family lots. The plat aligns with the preliminary plan that includes a total of 138 single-family lots over 61 acres, achieving a density of 3.12 units per acre. The planning commission recommended approval contingent upon the satisfaction of engineering comments and the execution of a development contract between the developer and the city. This phase will incorporate sidewalks and trails, contributing to the community’s infrastructure and connectivity.
