The most notable item on the agenda was the approval of the final plat request for the 11th edition of Willowbrook. The development, located in the northeast portion of Willowbrook, will consist of 37 single-family lots, a stormwater pond, and a trail connection. This marks the last of the single-family lots in Willowbrook, featuring some of the largest lots in the neighborhood. The developer is tasked with building out 42nd Street and Hyde Avenue as part of the project. The council approved the plat with conditions that include several regulatory and maintenance requirements, such as retaining walls being maintained by the homeowner’s association rather than the city.

In other business, the council announced the closure of all outdoor skating rinks and warming houses for the season, citing safety concerns due to warmer weather. The community was thanked for a successful skating season with more weeks of activity compared to the previous year.

Additionally, the council highlighted the two remaining Oakdale indoor markets scheduled for March and announced several employment opportunities with the city.
