In celebration of Highlands’ incorporation in 1900, the council issued a proclamation to honor its history and contributions from residents, businesses, and community organizations. The proclamation recognized the borough’s historical milestones, including its role during the American Revolution, the establishment of the Twin Lights Lighthouse, and the resilience shown by the community following Superstorm Sandy.
