In addition to the pavement project, the council addressed a driveway easement related to a roundabout project. Special event permits were another major topic, with the council unanimously approving a permit for the Lex Specialty Clinic’s annual Walk for Life to be held on May 17, 2025, at Bluebird Park. Additionally, the Rock Solid Foundation Fund Run and 5K/10K event, also scheduled for May 17, 2025, received approval. It is expected to draw around 100 participants, with arrangements made for alcohol sales and use of the city’s microphone system for the first time at the amphitheater. The council emphasized adherence to city protocols, particularly concerning insurance and documentation.

Finally, the council addressed a conditional use permit for upgrading telecommunications equipment at an existing cell tower, following a recommendation from the Planning Commission. With all engineering documentation in place, the permit was approved to enhance local telecommunications services.
