Westampton Council Approves Settlement with Fair Share Housing Center
- Meeting Overview:
At the recent Westampton Town Council meeting, a key resolution was passed authorizing a settlement agreement with the Fair Share Housing Center. This resolution, identified as 160-25, reflects ongoing efforts by the township to address affordable housing obligations. The council unanimously approved the measure.
In addition to the settlement agreement, the council addressed several other matters. They accepted the NJFY24 hazardous material emergency preparedness grant. This grant is intended to support the township’s readiness in handling hazardous material incidents, a vital consideration for community safety.
The council also approved a resolution for a person-to-person liquor license transfer. Another resolution approved was for the payment of vouchers, which ensures that the township’s financial obligations are met.
The representative expressed gratitude for community support and highlighted the need for further assistance with the building’s roof to complete interior works. This aligns with the broader community focus on veteran support and local camaraderie.
The meeting also touched on various community events and initiatives, showing a vibrant local involvement. Reports from public services, including fire, EMS, police, public works, and construction, were acknowledged for their role in managing township affairs effectively.
