In a move, the board approved an employment agreement for Kieran Mian, who will take over the role of interim town administrator early next year. This agreement is pending legal review and will be signed out of session. Mian, currently serving as the Grant Housing and Grant Administrator, will receive a daily stipend of $245 for additional training duties related to the new role, effective December 19, 2025, until January 2, 2026. This stipend will not exceed $1,250.

The meeting also addressed logistical matters concerning the transition of duties. It was noted that a technical handoff, including the transfer of equipment such as a computer and phone, is scheduled for January 2, 2026. This handoff will involve the outgoing town administrator and other relevant personnel to ensure a smooth transition.

Additionally, the board made provisions to adjust Mian’s current responsibilities. A motion was passed for the vice chair to sign three employee action forms: one to finalize Mian’s appointment as interim town administrator, another to adjust his current role as Grant Housing and Grant Administrator to zero hours during his tenure, and a third to authorize the training stipend.
