The re-election and swearing-in of Mayor Sandy Henley were key highlights of the meeting. Assemblywoman Andrea Catz officiated the ceremony. Henley’s leadership was further supported by the council’s unanimous vote.

Similarly, Odise Carr was sworn in as deputy mayor, a role he will assume alongside his duties as a council member. Carr expressed gratitude for the support from both the council and the community, acknowledging the trust placed in him to serve Westampton for another term.

The meeting also addressed various appointments for the upcoming year. Notably, Gail Maddox-Canteen, Dr. Ashlee Caldwell, and Jaime Mungo were assigned roles on key committees, including the Land Development Board, Historic Commission, and Timbuktu Advisory Committee.

In addition to leadership roles, the council approved several resolutions, including the appointment of professionals for the year and the schedule for regular meetings in 2026. The consent agenda was passed without opposition, streamlining routine governance procedures.
