The board meeting began with the announcement of the election results. Christa Ianelli, Shan Massen, and Michael Fiser were confirmed as the new members who will serve from 2026 to 2028. The results highlighted the community’s involvement, with a total of 187 personal choice votes cast. The new members were administered the oath of office by the board solicitor, Joanna Dailyaly. Following this, the board acknowledged the receipt of the code of ethics and scheduled formal training for the future.

In a closely contested election for board president, Janis Knoll was elected over Kevin Peelman. The roll call vote showed a shift in support, with Knoll receiving six affirmative votes compared to Peelman’s four.

The board also addressed the election of the vice president. Terri Butrymowicz was nominated and elected by a unanimous roll call vote, solidifying her position as vice president. This election set the stage for continued leadership and direction within the board.

During the public comment section, no members of the community stepped forward to address the board on agenda items. The board proceeded with routine reorganization items, including the adoption of a readaptive curriculum. It was clarified that the preschool curriculum is currently under revision, with an English Language Arts audit scheduled for a vote later in the month.
