The board began with the election of officers. Dave Klatt was re-elected as board chair after receiving five votes compared to Gary Schindler’s two. Subsequently, Schindler was unanimously elected as vice chair. Angie Hoffman was confirmed to continue as clerk without opposition, and Mary Jo Dorman was re-elected as treasurer through a unanimous vote.

Following the officer elections, the board reviewed committee assignments. Mary Jo Dorman expressed a desire to join the finance committee, replacing Neal Skaar. The board discussed the need for a representative in the Minnesota State High School League committee for handling local appeals or eligibility concerns, although this role is typically only activated if disputes arise. Additionally, the board considered the school board meeting schedule for the upcoming year, with most meetings set for 5:00 PM, except for the Truth in Taxation meeting scheduled for 6:00 PM.

During the meeting, the board also addressed resolutions regarding operational authorizations and affiliations, such as naming banks and newspapers for official use. These resolutions were approved without objections.
