Another item was the approval of the Saddlebrook Meadows rezoning and major development plan. This initiative involves the development of a 53 to 55-unit subdivision on Golden Gem Road. There was a collaborative discussion between the applicant and the city regarding a slope issue related to water storage, with the applicant agreeing to work with the city on a drainage easement.

The council also addressed the major development plan for a new 115-unit single-family housing subdivision on Sheller Avenue. The applicant sought clarification on stormwater management and karst evaluation planning comments. It was agreed that if the stormwater pond slopes were adjusted to a six-to-one ratio, no fencing would be required, aligning with local code. Additionally, the applicant plans to conduct further geotechnical evaluations to address karst concerns, with a report expected within two weeks, allowing them to proceed with final engineering.

Lastly, the council reviewed the construction site plan for Wolf Lake Ranch Phase 2. Feedback was provided on planning and public works, but no outstanding issues were reported by other DRC members.
