In a recent meeting, the Sayreville Borough Zoning Board approved an application for a new single-family home on Ridge Avenue, despite the lot not meeting standard area and width requirements. Kimberly Bernett plans to build a two-story residence on the 7,000 square-foot lot, smaller than the typical 7,500 square-foot lot size. The board unanimously approved this variance, allowing construction to proceed on what was previously a vacant lot since a house was destroyed by lightning in 2003.
