At just 5:45 a.m., Noah quickly alerted his neighbors by knocking on doors. His quick thinking and bravery were formally acknowledged by the Board, and a proclamation was read to honor his outstanding performance in the emergency. This award highlights the importance of character and service among young students.

The meeting also covered the annual school wellness report, which outlined Branchburg’s compliance with federal nutritional guidelines and initiatives to promote student wellness. The district has successfully integrated fresh, locally sourced produce into school meals and engaged students in menu planning through the food advisory committee. Health instruction is aligned with state standards, and physical activity is encouraged through daily recess and extracurricular activities. Future wellness initiatives may include a district-wide wellness week and hydration challenges.
