Additional construction updates included bids for concrete work at South High School and a chiller at Plymouth South Middle School. Other updates included pending delivery of a central office generator, completion of a rubber roof replacement at Manamett Elementary, and plans for administration building renovations.

Superintendent Dr. Campbell provided an overview of summer programming. He noted the successful launch of the extended school year program post-Fourth of July and emphasized the 13th annual Camp Invention. The public was encouraged to visit the district’s website for information on educational and recreational programs, meals, and resources provided by the Plymouth Family Network. Dr. Campbell also discussed the FY27 state budget, which includes a $480 million increase in K-2 education funding, bringing the total state investment close to $9.4 billion. Plymouth will see a 4% increase in Chapter 70 aid, crucial for funding stability amidst potential local and federal funding uncertainties. The special education circuit breaker funding is set to rise by 23%.
