The strategy includes four 36-passenger shuttles to transport attendees from overflow parking lots to the ballpark, minimizing congestion and ensuring efficient traffic flow. Misari elaborated on the communication plans for parking information, stating that detailed guidelines would be distributed to event participants to prevent illegal parking on River Road and grass shoulders. Signage and attendants at parking locations will assist in managing flow and ensuring that attendees are directed appropriately.

The board members engaged in a discussion about how overflow lots would be utilized and the implementation of no parking and tow-away zone signs. Emphasis was laid on collaboration between Diamond Nation and local authorities to ensure effective traffic management. The board considered formalizing the parking management plan as an exhibit in future resolutions, underscoring its importance.

Discussions also touched on the authorization for Raritan Township Police to enforce no stopping or standing, as well as no parking signs during events, pending county approval. This would provide a mechanism for handling illegal parking situations should they arise. The board also discussed terminology used in the parking plan, preferring “high attendance events” to “special events” to accurately reflect the nature of the gatherings.

The meeting also addressed zoning variances related to the project. It was discussed that the proposed shuttle service meets the criteria for a C2 variance by promoting public health and safety.
