In the meeting, Richard Tilton, representing the owners, presented the revised plans which addressed previous concerns raised by the board. The most notable changes include the relocation of the stairs from the west of the house to the porch on the south side and the transformation of the roofline to a gable roof. The board appreciated these changes, with members expressing that the redesigned roofline is more appropriate and in harmony with the main house’s architecture.

However, the board expressed continuing concern about the electric wires that would pass over the top of the house, citing potential safety hazards. In response, Tilton pledged to work with Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) to either confirm the wires’ safety or explore the possibility of moving the electrical service to a masthead connected to the house.

Another issue discussed was the stormwater management plan. Tilton proposed an underground system with perforated pipes to handle the runoff from the new gable roof. The board agreed to this proposal, suggesting the addition of a pop-up emitter for the system’s endpoint.

The approval of the revised plan was conditioned on the resolution of these concerns. The board’s decision was unanimous, and members commended the applicant’s commitment to addressing their feedback.
