In addition to the millage rate approval, the council adopted the final budget for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. Priorities for the budget include maintaining current operations, enhancing public safety through the replacement and addition of tactical equipment and personnel, and investing in infrastructure. The budget will support road maintenance, park upkeep, and long-term capital improvement projects. Despite the plans, the budget reflects a 2.8% decrease from the previous year’s assessed value, totaling $13.549 billion.
