Judge Jennifer LH AAR was honored for her appointment to the Miami-Dade County Court, and she spoke about the importance of education and public service. Additionally, the council issued a proclamation recognizing May 2024 as Jewish American Heritage Month and honored Holocaust survivor Zippi Holland.

Steven Czech, the incoming chair of the Jewish Community Relations Council and vice chair of the Anti-Defamation League, discussed the increase in anti-Semitic incidents in the U.S. and called for unity in support of the Jewish community. The council also acknowledged long-serving police department members James Martin and Kenneth Cely for their dedication to public safety and their numerous achievements.

The council addressed the first reading of an ordinance to dissolve the Art and Public Places Advisory Board, which was passed along with another ordinance regarding public urination or defecation. The safety concerns related to electric scooters and bicycles were brought to the forefront during the public comment period by a resident who had been hit by a scooter. The council assured the resident that these concerns were being taken seriously and discussed.
