Bernadette Ciarro, who has served multiple terms as both vice president and president, was nominated and re-elected for another term as board president. Her leadership experience includes chairing various committees and being part of successful bond referendums and the recent superintendent search. The board expressed confidence in her continued leadership, citing her extensive contributions to the district and board.

Amanda Morano, entering her fifth year on the board, was nominated and elected as vice president. Her experience includes serving on the curriculum instruction and technology committee as well as the finance, facilities, and safety committee, where she was the most recent chair. Morano has also been involved in negotiations that settled contracts with teachers, secretaries, and custodians.

In addition to leadership elections, the board finalized committee assignments for the year. Dr. Kristen Epson-Hayden will chair the Curriculum Instruction and Technology Committee, while Joe Walsh will lead the Finance Committee. Stacy Gunderman will chair the Personnel Management and Communication Committee. Various representatives were assigned for external associations including the Union County School Boards Association and the New Jersey School Boards Association.
