The infrastructure for the lighting system involves installing steel poles supported by concrete foundations, designed according to site-specific geotechnical analysis. The project includes a wireless control system for the lights, allowing operation via a smartphone app, eliminating the need for traditional time clocks and increasing operational efficiency.

The Board discussed the importance of balancing the lighting needs for safety and visibility on the field with community concerns about potential disturbances. The lighting system is designed to maintain an average of 50 foot candles across the field, adhering to standards for high school sports, while limiting light spillage onto adjacent properties.
