During the meeting, the Milton Select Board conducted a reorganization in which Bob Reese was nominated and accepted the position of chair. The decision was unanimous. Prior to this transition, the outgoing chair expressed gratitude to the board members for their collaboration over the past 12 years, highlighting the dedication and teamwork that defined their tenure.

In addition to the reorganization, the board reviewed and approved several tax exemptions and deferrals for seniors and veterans. These included first-time and recurring applications under Clause 41A and veterans’ exemptions. Despite a few late submissions, the board exercised discretion in approving these applications. These exemptions provide financial relief, such as the $500 benefits for qualifying individuals.
